Woya smiles at Uktena as they pass each other. Going out with Moll and Maureen Woya sits on the porch with Uzil. Uzil stands when he sees the ladies come out on the porch. "May I ask why did you really want to come today?" She watches Uzil's face to gage his answer.
"I came because Aisling and the Father both told me that I needed to ask for forgiveness. I waited for a few days because I did not want Woya to see my wounds from my punishment. I am sorry for so many things I did in the past. I am sorry that I caused you pain and that I gave you a child you may not have wanted." Uzil watches Woya her cheeks flush at his apology. Woya looks into his eyes and asks.
"I know you gave me the comb to control me so that I could not fight you. What I don't understand is why when you had me in a trance you needed to be so violent?" Woya's voice breaks and you can hear the tears are ready to start. Uzil's heart sinks and he feels tears threatening to spill. Closing his eyes and swallowing several times trying to get his feeling in control. quietly he begins to tell her.
"Hearing you say that you had not intended to hurt me at first, I was relieved to know that my first impression of you was right. I saw you numerous times when I was doing my chores. I used to wait till I knew the time you would come to do them. My heart was always touched when you would leave flowers and treats for me. When the man came with the comb my heart leapt with joy because I knew it was from you. My world shattered when I heard that woman tell you that you needed to impregnate me. Truthfully if things had been the way you wanted you would not have had to work hard to seduce me. I was already smitten with you and wanted to kiss you for awhile. "It was Morrigan who led him to you. She saw that I was in agony with guilt and worry that you would never be happy. She also knew that had I not sought you out that you and your husband would have met and married anyway. She removed the barriers in your heart and his to help you find what should have been anyway. I was jealous of him that he was able to have your heart and to hold you everyday. I was saddened by the fact that my interference had caused you to be less of a mother than you were meant to be. You became afraid to get close to them and your husband because of me and for that I am sorry." Uzil raised Woya's hand to his mouth kissing her palm. The action sent warm shivers down her spine setting in her woman's core. A feeling she has not felt in over thirty years. Maureen sees the sparks flying between the two and makes a suggestion.
"why don't we join the others and let the two of you sit here for awhile alone. Molimo must be anxious about if you have forgiven his father or not, we will go tell him that you have." Maureen and Moll stand and go inside. To their surprise Yona , Astila and Molimo are watching the couple from the window. They have heard everything. Maureen is concerned that Yona and Astila may be angry over what they heard. sheepishly the men look at the two women coming inside.
"You have been caught, why are you eavesdropping on them?" Moll has her hands on her hips glaring at the three of them.
Yona just grins and tweaked Moll's nose.
" we were just making sure she is ok, we also wanted to give our older brother some reassurance that everything will be ok." Yona informs the women. Maureen giggles.
"Sure that is it, are you guys ok ? I know it was hard to listen to them ." Maureen asks the three of them. Astila answers this time.
"We know that mother loved our father but we also knew that there was something she always held back. Father was not a warm man, his mind was always on the spiritual realm. We often felt that fathers neglect caused mother to be melancholy and withdrawn. We did not doubt her love when we were small. I believe that if Uzil had never been sent to her that mother and father would have had a Warmer marriage but you cannot discount the feeling those two have for each other. If Uzil had not fallen in love with mother then Uktena would have had to battle his brother and us our uncle. We all saw what toll that takes with Macha. I am glad that the love Uzil had for mother kept him from becoming fully evil and that he was able to love our brother. Now we can become a family."
