As time passed, well beyond an hour, An Wuyang started to wonder when Huo Yunchuan would finish his workout and come out. He was getting quite sleepy, and the sleepiness that comes with pregnancy hit him suddenly, like a wave, making him yawn and feel drowsy.

He turned off the TV and walked to the door of the gym, ready to let Huo Yunchuan know that he was going to sleep. But as he opened the door, he was met with a sight that left him in shock: a well-built man working out, showcasing his impressive physique, his chest, abs, and long legs. An Wuyang couldn’t help but admire the sight.

Huo Yunchuan’s sweaty, glistening body seemed to have a particular allure for the inexperienced An Wuyang, who was still a virgin. An Wuyang found himself unconsciously touching his own chest and belly and realized how different his own physique was.

An Wuyang then addressed Huo Yunchuan, saying he was going to sleep and wishing him goodnight. Huo Yunchuan, the fitness enthusiast, put down his weights, looked up at the teenager at the door, his eyes damp with sweat, and responded, “Mm, go ahead.”

After An Wuyang left, he hesitated for a moment before turning back and quietly adding, “You should rest early too, don’t stay up too late.”

As someone who was the busy CEO of a major corporation, Huo Yunchuan’s workload and stress were beyond what most people could imagine. An Wuyang felt the need to express his concern for Huo Yunchuan’s well-being.

Receiving this unexpected attention, Huo Yunchuan felt a rush of energy, as if he had been given a shot of adrenaline, even though his muscles were nearly numb from exhaustion. He replied, “Mm…”

An Wuyang was in awe of the incredible man he had glimpsed in the gym. He thought to himself how truly outstanding he was, but he had no romantic feelings for him. After all, he wasn’t a masochist and couldn’t possibly fall for a high-powered, intimidating CEO who could make people faint with a single word.

An Wuyang was simply too inexperienced to handle someone like that, and he didn’t have any romantic interest in men in the first place.

Imagining how difficult it would be to live such a life, An Wuyang felt a sense of dread just thinking about it. He returned to the bedroom, took off his shoes, and climbed onto the bed, the one that had countless admirers longing for it, the one where he had napped in the afternoon.

He occupied a small part of the bed, trying to make himself as unnoticeable as possible.

Huo Yunchuan finished his shower and entered the bedroom, his body still dripping with water. He closed the door behind him and walked toward the bed.

An Wuyang perked up his ears, listening to Huo Yunchuan’s movements, and couldn’t help stealing a glance. What he saw was Huo Yunchuan wearing a smile that he assumed was warm and friendly, but it had an opposite effect on him. In response, An Wuyang quickly feigned sleep.

Huo Yunchuan spoke, “I’m turning off the lights,” as he sat on the bed, raised his long legs, and glanced at the clock on the cabinet. It was just a little after 10 PM. This was probably the earliest he had gone to sleep since leaving college.

No more social engagements, no beautiful women, and no beloved cigarettes and alcohol.

Huo Yunchuan sent a message to his friends with an image that read, “In the future, I’ll be going to bed at this time. Please be informed.”

Ji Mingjie: …

Jiang Shaofei: …

Chen Chu: …

Several others…

Satisfied, Huo Yunchuan put down his phone, turned off the main light, and asked An Wuyang in a low voice, “Do you need to keep the bedside lamp on? It’s your first night here, and I’m not sure if you’re afraid of the dark.”

The little angel shook his head and said, “No need.” He nestled in the comfortable bedding of the air-conditioned room, exposing only his head.

Huo Yunchuan replied, “Alright, I’ll turn it off then.” As he spoke, the bedroom fell into darkness, but he added, “If you need to get up to use the bathroom, just call me. Don’t hesitate to ask.”

“Okay,” An Wuyang replied in the darkness.

“Why are you sleeping so far away?” Suddenly, Huo Yunchuan’s breath drew closer, making An Wuyang tense up, and he gasped slightly. Then, he felt a pair of arms wrapping around his waist, bringing him close to a warm presence. “I…” An Wuyang didn’t like sleeping in the center of the bed, he thought. His hands struggled against Huo Yunchuan’s chest. “Don’t hold me.”

Huo Yunchuan’s breath hitched, and he was immediately aroused.

An Wuyang felt that Huo Yunchuan only wanted to bring him closer to the center of the bed and didn’t intend to hold onto him forever. When the reluctant An Wuyang was released, he noticed that Huo Yunchuan deliberately created some distance between them, as if to show he had no other intentions.

An Wuyang realized that he might have misunderstood Huo Yunchuan. Reflecting on their time together these days, he found that Huo Yunchuan was a man who was neither promiscuous nor vulgar, living up to the title of a gentleman.

“Sorry,” An Wuyang, a kind and gentle soul, apologized. “By the way, do you want to feel the baby?” He took advantage of the darkness and his newfound courage. “Though, you can’t feel anything right now.” He patted his flat stomach.

The hand that Huo Yunchuan hadn’t reached out with began to tremble.

“Hmm? Would you like to?” An Wuyang asked with a puzzled tone.

When he thought that Huo Yunchuan might not be interested, finally, a large, warm hand extended from beneath the covers and touched his abdomen.

An Wuyang felt Huo Yunchuan’s hand, and while the fingers were far from composed, he didn’t say a word.

The 1.89-meter tall burly man lay carefully on his side next to the baby and baby daddy, his palm resting on the other’s flat belly. He maintained this posture for a long time.

An Wuyang had been feeling drowsy for a while, lying in the warm and comfortable bed. Yawning incessantly, he mumbled before drifting off completely, “Goodnight.” Then he thought to himself, “How long is he going to keep touching me?”

The man with alternating expressions in the darkness, heard the young man’s steady breathing. He carefully adjusted his position, pulling the young man into his arms.

They slept embraced through the night.

The face of the handsome young man opened his eyes. His just-awakened gaze shifted downward, and he saw the young angel’s arm resting on his chest. His heart couldn’t help but race, and his blood surged.

He slowly shifted his gaze to the side, where the young man had fallen asleep with flushed cheeks, nestled in his neck.

“Hmm…” In the slightly uncomfortable morning hours, Huo Yunchuan was tormented. He took a deep breath and lay still, not speaking or moving, just waiting.

After a while, the young man’s breathing frequency increased, and then his eyelashes brushed against Huo Yunchuan’s neck. After a few times, he was completely awake.

An Wuyang realized that he had woken up and was pressed against Huo Yunchuan.

He felt a bit stunned.

“Good morning,” Huo Yunchuan, the CEO, said lightly. He glanced at An Wuyang’s embarrassed expression, which had been captured by his perceptive eyes.

“Yeah, good morning,” An Wuyang responded. After accidentally spending the night closely with Huo Yunchuan and sensing the impressive strength of his body even through their clothes, he felt even more awkward and quickly distanced himself.

Huo Yunchuan gave a faint glance but didn’t say anything.

After a moment of An Wuyang being flustered, Huo Yunchuan lifted the blanket and got out of bed. He spoke gently, “I’m going to freshen up; take your time getting up.”

An Wuyang: “Mmm, alright.”

He reached for his phone and checked the time; it was already 8 in the morning. He had slept really soundly.

He also furrowed his brows, saying, “I’m so hungry…” His stomach grumbled loudly, causing An Wuyang to feel quite weak with hunger.

After Huo Yunchuan was done, he slowly got out of bed. His condition caught Huo Yunchuan’s attention, and the man approached, his eyes locked onto An Wuyang’s slightly pale face. “What’s wrong?”

An Wuyang replied, “Low blood pressure, I want to drink something sweet.”

Huo Yunchuan looked serious, said “Stay here,” and then left the bedroom.

An unsteady An Wuyang sat on the edge of the bed, waiting. Not long after, Huo Yunchuan returned with warm sweetened water, which An Wuyang drank a few sips of, looking a bit pitiful. “I feel better now.”

Huo Yunchuan gazed at him solemnly. “When did you start experiencing low blood pressure? Have you seen a doctor about it?” His eyes bore into An Wuyang, especially when the young man mentioned that he had been this way since childhood and never saw a doctor.

“It’s not a big deal. Once I grow stronger, I’ll be fine,” An Wuyang replied nonchalantly to Huo Yunchuan’s displeased look, as he got up to change and freshen up.

A young boy from an ordinary family having a few minor health issues was considered normal, and it wasn’t something to be overly concerned about.

In Huo Yunchuan’s eyes, a storm began to brew, not directed at An Wuyang’s lack of concern for his health but something deeper he couldn’t express. He couldn’t blame an 18-year-old for it.

“Wash your face. I’ll tidy up, and then we can head out,” he said, making an effort to regain his composure.

“Okay,” An Wuyang nodded, checking himself in the mirror. “How do I look today?” He knew they were going for a prenatal checkup and would meet Huo Yunchuan’s friends.

He couldn’t dress too shabby; that would be a disgrace to Mr. Huo.

“Very nice,” Huo Yunchuan had been watching him the whole time and, upon hearing his question, carefully looked him over again. Finally, a hint of a smile appeared in his eyes.

The light and fresh color, as well as the tasteful style of the clothes, suited An Wuyang perfectly.

“I’ll go get a new pair of shoes to match,” An Wuyang suddenly jumped up. He was sometimes quite interested in dressing up and appreciated compliments.

Huo Yunchuan immediately stopped him, saying, “No, I’ll find them for you. You just sit.” An Wuyang’s liveliness frightened him; his heart trembled and shivered.

With the new shoes on, An Wuyang exuded an air of refinement that fit a wealthy young man to a T. If he had a slightly plumper face, it would be even more convincing.

In terms of temperament and manners, apart from his undeniable youthful appearance (which was something they couldn’t change), taking him out didn’t feel out of place.

As they drove, Huo Yunchuan commented, “When your hair gets a bit longer, I’ll find you a hairstylist to change that silly hairstyle on your head.”

In the back seat, An Wuyang, snacking on dried fruits, suddenly stopped chewing. “…” He was emotional.

Author’s note:

An Wuyang is a person who can be criticized for anything, but you can’t say his hair doesn’t look good.
