Rewinding to last night, after the phone call with her second son, Ding Wei had some lingering doubts. It wasn’t that she didn’t trust An Wuyang; she just felt it was better to be cautious and confirm by making a call.

“Hello, this is Lafayette Castle Hotel. How can I assist you?” The sweet voice of the customer service lady and her standard Mandarin greeted Ding Wei.

Ding Wei went straight to the point, “Hello, I’d like to confirm the reservation made by Mr. Huo for tomorrow night.”

As soon as the customer service lady heard it was Mr. Huo, she immediately checked in the computer, “May I know how many people for dinner?”

“Six,” Ding Wei replied.

The customer service lady continued, “Yes, tomorrow night, a six-person luxury private room. Would you like me to repeat the main dishes you ordered?”

Ding Wei paused for a moment, then nodded, listening to the long list of unfamiliar dishes. She didn’t recognize most of them but assumed they were probably good.

“Okay, thank you.” After finishing the call with the customer service lady, Ding Wei felt happy that she had saved some money. The family had been getting poorer lately.

In a good mood, she went straight to her daughter’s room, wearing a rare warm smile on her face. It wasn’t as serious as usual. “Wuyu, open the door. Mom needs to discuss something with you.”

“Mom?” An Wuyu opened the door, revealing a messy scene of her packing her bags. “I’m packing, what’s up?”

Ding Wei said, “How about we skip Thai food tomorrow night?” She saw her daughter’s displeased expression and quickly added, “Your younger brother’s classmate’s father gave him a luxury private room at Lafayette Castle Hotel. It’s way better than that Thai restaurant you wanted.”

An Wuyu widened her eyes, “Lafayette Castle Hotel? Your younger brother’s classmate is that rich?”

Ding Wei explained, “Not your younger brother, it’s An Wuyang’s classmate. They booked a six-person dinner. Think about which friend you’d like to bring.”

“What?” An Wuyu was surprised for a moment, then remembered her older brother’s wealthy suitor and nodded, “Okay, I’ll call Jiaojiao and see if she’s available.”

Yejiaojiao was An Wuyu’s wealthy friend, and usually, An Wuyu didn’t dare to invite her for a meal. Tomorrow presented a rare opportunity to dine at a high-end restaurant, and An Wuyu wasn’t going to pass up the chance to save face.

After the daughter agreed, it was almost equivalent to the family’s unanimous approval. It just required informing the younger brother and the father.

Around 5:30 in the afternoon the next day, the family of four dressed neatly and went to the feast in good spirits.

However, An Wuyu was pondering all the way whether to tell her parents that a wealthy girl was pursuing her brother. In her heart, of course, she hoped for it. Who wouldn’t want to have wealthy siblings?

An Wuyu hesitated, but in the end, she decided to wait until she saw her brother before deciding whether to tell her parents.

“Huff!” An Wuyang stood in the bedroom changing clothes, feeling a slight chill from the air conditioning, causing him to shiver.

Seeing this, Huo Yun Chuan immediately found the air conditioning vent and turned it off, frowning, “I reminded you yesterday not to stand under the air vent.”

“Yeah, I’ll pay attention next time.” An Wuyang sniffed, speeding up to finish changing clothes, covering his slender figure.

Due to the morning incident, he still felt a bit awkward.

But upon reflection, every man’s adolescence was like this, and Mr. Huo should understand, thought An Wuyang. After coming to terms with it, he decided to be open about it, “Haha, I had a wet dream this morning.”

With a snap, Mr. Huo’s book fell from his hands, startling An Wuyang.

“Since when did Mr. Huo start?” The bold teenager approached Mr. Huo, seemingly ready for a man-to-man talk.

“Thirteen, maybe,” Huo Yun Chuan said expressionlessly, intending to pick up the book but finding that he couldn’t bend down due to stiffness.

“Pretty early,” An Wuyang exclaimed, then bent down to pick up the book, “Here you go.”

“Thank you.” Taking a deep breath, Huo Yun Chuan asked, “Did you only start at eighteen?”

An Wuyang laughed and said, “Not really, I had it at fifteen, but not regularly.”

He turned around to comb his hair, using a bit of gel to create a hairstyle that wouldn’t make him look too juvenile, but rather slightly more sophisticated.

Of course, this was just An Wuyang’s own perception. In reality, to others, he still appeared youthful, making them hesitant to treat him otherwise.

“Why make yourself so handsome?” Huo Yun Chuan restrained himself from directly calling him cute, instead expressing a strong desire for composure and said, “Handsome.”

An Wuyang smiled brightly at himself in the mirror, feeling content inside. “Not bad, right?”

In truth, he was quite delighted. To be praised as handsome by someone as attractive as Mr. Huo was undoubtedly a form of affirmation.

“Yeah,” Huo Yun Chuan saw that shy smile and pinched his own thigh forcefully. “Not bad.”

He dropped the book, walked down from the sofa, and approached the wardrobe. He picked up one of the shirts that An Wuyang had ironed the previous night and changed into it.

During non-working hours, Huo Yun Chuan didn’t like wearing a tie because it gave him a feeling of constriction around his neck, similar to how some men don’t like using protection. It just didn’t feel right. During working hours, he had no choice but to wear it a bit loosely.

Today, Mr. Huo left the collar completely open, exposing a small section of wheat-colored chest. It was less formal than usual, adding a touch of wildness. Since he didn’t have to meet the little angel’s family, this appearance was meant for one person’s eyes only.

That person was An Wuyang.

He couldn’t help but blurt out, “Mr. Huo, you look so handsome.”

The mature man, rarely praised, smiled, revealing the charm of a sophisticated gentleman.

After exchanging awkward compliments, they finally left.

An Wuyang sat obediently in the back seat, and Huo Yun Chuan reminded him, “To accommodate your family, I haven’t ordered too many light dishes. If the smell is too much for you, just eat more rice and less vegetables. After it’s over, I’ll make something special for you.”

“Okay,” the little angel softly agreed.

It can be said that Mr. Huo’s ears were enjoying themselves. His mouth involuntarily curved up, and his heart was in a flutter.

At this moment, only one thought remained in his mind.

Cute, mine.

At the entrance of Lafayette Castle Hotel, the An family had just arrived and had gotten out of the car.

After a while, An Wuyang’s phone rang. It was his sister asking, “Where are you? We’re waiting for you in the lobby.”

“I’ll be at the entrance soon,” An Wuyang replied.

An Wuyang continued, “Hmm, we’re waiting for you in the lobby. Oh, by the way, I brought a friend, her name is Ye Jiaojiao. I’ll introduce you later.”

An Wuyang was a bit surprised. His sister rarely introduced friends to him.

After hanging up, they arrived. Huo Yun Chuan parked the car and forgot to lock the safety latch. “If there’s anything, call me immediately. Don’t bear it yourself. Understand?”

“I understand,” An Wuyang said, then pulled the door, “Mr. Huo, please open the door quickly.”

He was afraid that his family had been waiting for a long time and was anxious to get out.

“I mean, if they bully you, just tell me. No need to endure it silently,” Huo Yun Chuan said directly. Even if An Wuyang thought he was trying to sow discord, he didn’t mind, as long as the other person wasn’t bullied.

“…” An Wuyang fell into an unusual silence. He was just thinking, why did Mr. Huo think he was being bullied by his family? Was this kind of thing common?

Observing his silence, Huo Yun Chuan thought to himself that family was indeed the bottom line An Wuyang couldn’t touch. Once touched, he would be unhappy.

“Never mind, I just said it casually. You don’t have to take it to heart,” Huo Yun Chuan said and then unlocked the door to let him out.

“Okay.” An Wuyang snapped out of his thoughts and said, “I’ve decided to eat a little less now and save room for another meal later.”

Under Huo Yun Chuan’s complex gaze, he opened the car door and got out.

At first, An Wuyang only noticed a luxury car, but soon he saw his brother getting out of it.

“An Wuyang!” his sister called.

“Sis…” An Wuyang looked at his sister running over, feeling a bit anxious and wanting Huo Yun Chuan to drive away quickly.

But his sister had already come over.

“Whose car did you come in?” An Wuyang’s sister, still catching her breath, stared at the car and was surprised when she looked inside. “Is it him?”

The person who came to their house looking for her brother that day, An Wuyang’s sister knew he had a son, but seeing him again, she couldn’t help but be amazed. After all, the conditions of the other party were quite admirable.

Not only good-looking but also wealthy, with such a good temperament.

Ask an ordinary girl, how many such men could she meet in her lifetime?

An Wuyang’s sister began to envy this handsome guy’s wife. She probably had to be extremely lucky in her life to pick up such an excellent husband.

“Do you know each other?” An Wuyang asked, his face full of surprise, feeling unexpectedly uncomfortable.

“Not exactly acquainted,” An Wuyang’s sister said. “I’ve met this gentleman once before.”

As the siblings were talking outside, Huo Yun Chuan, seeing the situation, unbuckled his seatbelt and got out of the car.

An Wuyang once again felt the height of the other person and muttered to himself, “So tall!”

Judging by the eye, he was at least 187 cm tall!

“Hello,” Huo Yun Chuan nodded, neither too warm nor impolite.

“Hello…” An Wuyang’s sister stared at him foolishly. She, who usually wasn’t interested in older men, thought to herself that mature men did have their charm. It was indeed quite confusing, no wonder so many women followed them, as long as the man was older than themselves.

“Let me introduce you,” An Wuyang, seeing that they had bumped into each other, had to make the introductions. “Mr. Huo, this is my sister, An Wuyu.”

Huo Yun Chuan adopted a polite and distant attitude, nodding and saying, “Miss An.”

An Wuyang added, “Sis, this is my classmate’s father, Mr. Huo.”

His sister was surprised by the introduction and blurted out, “How is that possible?” She thought this Mr. Huo was at most 30 years old. How could he have a high school son?

Seeing his sister’s confusion, An Wuyang calmly explained, “Mr. Huo has aged gracefully. In fact, he’s not that young anymore.”

Huo Yun Chuan almost spewed out a mouthful of old blood. He didn’t think that being thirty was considered old.

But for the sake of Little Angel’s face, what else could he do besides cooperating? “Indeed, I’m not young anymore, just looks young.”
