“The way I truly feel about you is like this,” these words echoed in An Wuyang’s mind, meaning that, from the first meeting until now, the other person’s thoughts about him had never changed.

It’s all with the purpose of going to bed…

This fact caught him off guard a bit.

An Wuyang has always felt powerless in family life since childhood, as if nothing he did was right.

After growing up, he never thought about maintaining intimate relationships with anyone.

Because satisfying others was too difficult, and living alone seemed better.

“If I say no, will you let me go home?” An Wuyang whispered.

“Have you thought it through?” Huo Yunchuan knelt in front of him, and in reality, their bodies were still in contact.

If An Wuyang weren’t so bold, he should have noticed that their interactions had already exceeded the boundaries of ordinary relationships.

Yes, eating together, sleeping together, and occasional cuddling and hugging, all these affectionate actions.

Thinking about these, An Wuyang’s face turned pale.

He felt that going home was not a very good choice. School was about to start, and he couldn’t find a reason to deceive his parents into thinking that he needed to take a two-year break.

Huo Yunchuan frowned, “What are you afraid of? Are you afraid that I’ll treat you badly?”

He continued, “You’re overthinking; I will treat you well.”

An Wuyang pursed his lips, remaining silent.

Because he still couldn’t figure out what Mr. Huo was thinking.

An Wuyang was like a clamshell, keeping his mouth shut.

Huo Yunchuan felt a bit frustrated.

He felt an unprecedented defeat, which was even more challenging than managing the entire Huo family.

He didn’t dare to bring up going home, fearing that it might touch on some nerve of An Wuyang’s.

He could only ask, “Do you dislike me?”

An Wuyang shook his head.

Huo Yunchuan breathed a sigh of relief; at least the little angel didn’t dislike him.

He continued, “Then why can’t you accept the fact that I like you?”

The slightly guilty President Huo paused here, embarrassed to say it directly, “I don’t have any peculiar preferences; you don’t need to worry that I’m a pervert.”

An Wuyang lifted his surprised eyes, “What are you saying?”

Huo Yunchuan patiently repeated, “I don’t have any peculiar preferences; you don’t need to worry that I’m a pervert.”

An Wuyang shook his head, “Not that sentence, the one before it.”

Huo Yunchuan recalled the content of his previous sentence, then glanced at An Wuyang with heated eyes, “Why can’t you accept the fact that I like you?”

When he saw that the tips of An Wuyang’s ears were turning red, his palm unconsciously clenched into a fist by his side.

An Wuyang stammered, wondering if Mr. Huo just confessed to him?

Blushing, skin burning, he found it unbelievable. The powerful and outstanding Mr. Huo actually liked a second-tier student like him.

“No, I want to make it clear…” An Wuyang propped himself up, leaning against the headboard, hoping to create some distance that would allow for easier breathing, “Are you genuinely into me, or do you just want to go to bed with me?”

“What?” Huo Yunchuan raised an eyebrow, looking at him in disbelief and gritting his teeth, “Do we need to ask this question? When have I ever shown that I only want to go to bed with you?”

He really wanted to pry open An Wuyang’s head and see what was inside.

“Oh, I see.”

After being scolded by Huo Yunchuan, An Wuyang didn’t dare to babble anymore.

He nodded, accepting the fact that it seemed like the other person liked him.

Huo Yunchuan calmed his emotions, trying not to scare An Wuyang every time, as he found that very annoying.

Blaming the other for being too timid and lacking courage.

“How’s your consideration going?” He spoke in a more gentle tone after regaining composure.

“I’m still thinking,” An Wuyang said, eyes downcast, fingers clutching the pillow beside him, the other hand gripping the bedpost behind him.

“Hmm,” Huo Yunchuan patiently waited, not rushing him.

Though he was nervous, sweating in his palms, he recalled not being this nervous even during his first shareholder meeting as an adult.

Several minutes later, An Wuyang’s fingers slowly slid down from the bedpost, catching the attention of the man who had been watching his hair.

“Have you made your decision?” Huo Yunchuan asked in a deep voice.

In response, he saw the scene of the little angel slowly tilting to the side…

Reflexively, Huo Yunchuan reached out to catch him. When he lowered his head, anticipating the pinnacle of his life, what he saw was a cute yet annoying sleeping face.

“…” Huo Yunchuan silently stared at that face, feeling helpless.

It wasn’t An Wuyang’s fault, primarily because it was too late.

What else could President Huo do but gently place him back in bed, making sure he slept comfortably?

The next morning, An Wuyang woke up with a bit of a blank mind.

He slowly recalled the conversation with Mr. Huo last night, his mouth forming an ‘O’ shape.

If his memory served him right, he was the one who, feeling wronged, hid in the blanket, shed a tear, and then fell asleep in the midst of the confession.

An Wuyang, why are you so outstanding?

He thought to himself.

The first thing An Wuyang did when he woke up in the morning was to go to the balcony and check if the potted flowers were about to bloom. Did they bloom today?

As he wished, he saw the geraniums in full bloom, clusters of them, looking beautiful and festive.

Facing the morning light, An Wuyang smiled, then turned to walk into the bathroom to brush his teeth and wash his face.

Huo Yunchuan had heard the movements in the room long ago and was puzzled to find that this morning was no different from usual.

Furrowing his brows, he got up from the bed.

Curious, President Huo secretly watched An Wuyang go to the balcony to look at the flowers. It seemed that the flowers he had been thinking about had finally bloomed, and there was a smile on his face.

Very nice.

With a heart full of doubt, Mr. Huo watched An Wuyang come back humming a tune, heading to the bathroom to brush his teeth.

“…” He suddenly felt a sense of forgotten fear.

Of course, An Wuyang couldn’t forget him; he had just come to terms with everything.

Going back home was not possible, at least for now, as the baby was the top priority.

As for Mr. Huo’s feelings, he would take it one step at a time.

An Wuyang thought to himself, it’s a good thing if someone likes you no matter how you put it.

“Morning.” An Wuyang greeted when he saw someone coming, smiling with no hint of resentment, but with a bit of embarrassment mixed in.

“Morning,” Huo Yunchuan said, momentarily dazzled by that smile.

He looked at An Wuyang with a complicated expression, unable to decipher this person’s thought process. However, regardless of that, he decided to proceed as he saw fit.

An Wuyang had finished brushing his teeth and spoke in a low voice, “Auntie Zhang made custard buns yesterday. I took them out of the refrigerator to heat up. This is something I’m quite adept at. You won’t object, right?”

Typically, these tasks were handled by Mr. Huo because An Wuyang didn’t trust himself.

Huo Yunchuan was still somewhat dazed and casually agreed, “Mm.”

An Wuyang then left.

He opened the refrigerator, took out the frozen buns, rinsed their surface with water, and wrapped them in aluminum foil.

When Huo Yunchuan snapped out of it, he suddenly remembered what he had agreed to just now…

He set down the toothbrush with a dark expression and went to the kitchen door to check.

At that moment, An Wuyang had already put the plump buns into the microwave, setting it on medium for three minutes.

Upon noticing Huo Yunchuan’s presence, he was momentarily stunned before saying, “Heating buns is straightforward.”

Yet, just yesterday morning, Mr. Huo had managed to burn the nutritious sandwiches that Auntie Zhang had painstakingly prepared.

Although they smelled good, eating them resulted in indigestion.

“Be careful,” Huo Yunchuan said after making sure An Wuyang was okay before retreating back to the bathroom.

He quickly tidied up and returned, taking over the remaining trivial tasks, strictly forbidding An Wuyang from touching anything in the kitchen.

Huo Yunchuan was oblivious to the fact that his appearance, wearing an apron with a serious expression while making breakfast, was extraordinarily charming.

Clearly, being able to make breakfast wasn’t an extraordinary skill, but it was Huo Yunchuan, the one making breakfast.

If An Wuyang hadn’t guessed wrong, Mr. Huo possessed assets of at least tens of billions, making him a true wealthy man.

“Eat up.” Huo Yunchuan poured hot milk, served the buns, and handed chopsticks to An Wuyang.

Facing these things he wasn’t good at, he tried his best to be meticulous and avoid mistakes.

“Thank you.” An Wuyang was already hungry, so he quickly lowered his head to eat, occasionally taking a sip of milk. “The custard buns today are delicious.”

Huo Yunchuan said, “Then have a few more.”

He picked up a small bun, almost finishing it in two bites.

An Wuyang was a bit slower, needing at least three bites.

About what happened last night, everyone tacitly avoided mentioning it.

In the morning, Chen Fang brought over the baking tools that An Wuyang had specified. There were at least two large boxes full.

An Wuyang was quite happy because these familiar items reminded him of the time he worked at the pastry shop.

“Auntie Zhang, let’s unpack and use them.” He said this not to take matters into his own hands but to guide Auntie Zhang on how to use them.

With their collaboration, they started making croissants using the available ingredients, quickly producing some.

Auntie Zhang tore open a freshly baked croissant, tasted it, and said, “Delicious and fragrant.”

“I’ll bring one for Mr. Huo.” An Wuyang said, putting one on a plate and taking it into the bedroom.

The tall man was busy in the work area, seemingly indifferent to An Wuyang’s intrusion.

“Mr. Huo,” An Wuyang knocked on the already open door, speaking as he approached, “Auntie Zhang made croissants. Are you hungry?”

He stopped about a meter away.

Huo Yunchuan’s back muscles tensed, giving him a feeling of facing a formidable enemy, making his face darken.

“…” What’s there to fear from a soft little guy?

“Put it on the table,” he said casually.

“Sure.” An Wuyang nodded and brought the bread over.

Instead of leaving, he sat down on the adjacent chair, his face serious and proper.

“Let’s talk, Mr. Huo.”

Huo Yunchuan put down what he was working on and turned to look at him.

However, An Wuyang was considering his words, his face thoughtful. “Hmm…” he thought, saying it like this might not be good, and the other way seemed inappropriate too.

Unable to wait, Huo Yunchuan urged, “Go on.”

So An Wuyang quickly spoke, “It’s like this, I’ve decided not to go back home.”

Huo Yunchuan looked at him, maintaining a calm surface but soaked in sweat behind it. “And then?”

An Wuyang’s heart raced, knowing Mr. Huo’s underlying meaning. He slowly continued, “Although I’m not sure what the feeling of liking someone is, I don’t dislike you.” Then he lifted his eyes, looking determined. “So, let’s give it a chance.”

This little angel was truly adorable.

Huo Yunchuan cleared his slightly itching throat and made a confident promise, “I’ll make you realize.”

He was full of confidence, believing that once the other person reached a certain age, he would naturally fall in love with the most outstanding person beside him.

“Oh, okay.” An Wuyang nodded uncomfortably.

President Huo stared at the little guy for a moment, then pulled a chair and reached over to hug him…

At this moment, An Wuyang thought, well, since I’ve agreed to give everyone a chance, I can’t refuse. Sitting on his lap is…

Mr. Huo fed him a piece of bread.

“I don’t eat bread, I’ve already eaten.” An Wuyang’s attention was quickly captured by the bread. “You eat it, I think it’s baked quite well.”

“…” President Huo contentedly held the little angel and tasted the bread. However, it seemed like he was savoring not the bread, but the little angel himself.

“So when shall we go to register?” Huo Yunchuan casually asked.

An Wuyang thought carefully. “Today is the weekend. Let me check the working hours of the Civil Affairs Bureau first.”

He took out his phone, sat on Huo Yunchuan’s lap, and began earnestly checking. Indeed, he found that the Civil Affairs Bureau didn’t work on weekends.

The understanding little angel clarified first, “Mr. Huo, do you need to choose an auspicious day?”

It was said that wealthy families cared more about the lunar calendar, fortune, and so on.

Huo Yunchuan, this sly old fox, looked at the little angel in his arms. “What if not?” Clearly, he had already guessed An Wuyang’s intention.

“If it’s not necessary,” An Wuyang suggested uncertainly, “how about Monday?”

“Okay.” Huo Yunchuan immediately agreed, simultaneously lowering his head to kiss An Wuyang’s ear.

The heavy and coarse breathing by his ear startled An Wuyang, making him wonder if Huo Yunchuan was feeling unwell.

Without much thought, he asked, “What’s wrong, Mr. Huo?”

Then, realizing that his own seat was uncomfortable, An Wuyang blushed and quickly shifted.

Huo Yunchuan, who had endured half a lifetime’s worth of torment, had a twisted and uncomfortable expression. He persisted for several minutes before letting go of An Wuyang. “Go read a book; I’ll continue working.”

An Wuyang glanced at the pile of documents on the table and obediently nodded before leaving.

Admiringly, he thought, Mr. Huo is truly a visionary and dedicated entrepreneur.
