Facing the unexpected scenario created by his son, Huo Xiao, Huo Xiao was momentarily stunned for a couple of seconds. However, since they had already arrived, it was impossible to turn back.

“Regardless, we’ll be there soon,” Huo Xiao said. “You can tell him now, create any identity you want, but we must meet him.”

“He’s still asleep, especially after getting pregnant,” Huo Huo said, “Should I wake him up now and inform him that many people will be coming to see him?”

Huo Xiao choked again, considering the hardships of pregnancy, “In that case…” he sighed, “let him continue sleeping. We’ll discuss everything when the time comes.”

Huo Huo raised an eyebrow, “…”

In any case, parents had to come. He reluctantly accepted this fact. “I understand.”

In the bedroom, An Wuyang managed to avoid being awakened, still in a deep sleep. When he woke up, the sky outside was slightly dark.

Typically, after drinking a lot of water before bed, people wake up with a strong urge to urinate. An Wuyang had drunk a large glass of milk before sleeping, and now his lower abdomen was quite full.

He got out of bed, put on his slippers, with a sleepy and messy appearance, quickly walked to the bedroom door, and opened it.

This sudden movement made everyone in the living room stop chatting immediately. All seven pairs of eyes, including Huo Huo and his son, turned to look at the source of the sound.

An Wuyang, feeling a bit overwhelmed, stood there foolishly. For a moment, he didn’t realize why there were suddenly so many people in the house, and all of them were looking at him.

With his thin face, he naturally retreated and closed the door.

“Ah…” The three members of the Huo family had different expressions, recalling the appearance of the boy who had just shown up. Their gazes turned to Huo Huo, “You go check.”

Huo Huo felt that An Wuyang might be frightened, so he pressed his eyebrows, “Okay.”

After he left, silence fell over the room. No one spoke.

In the room, An Wuyang, who was hiding, felt quite miserable. He urgently needed to go to the bathroom, and if he didn’t come out soon, he might wet his pants.

When Huo Huo gently opened the door, the scene he saw made him feel both pitiful and adorable.

The just-awakened little angel, with one hand holding the door and the other covering his little friend while also squeezing his legs together, displayed a vivid expression of urgency on his face.

“Cough…” Mr. Huo asked seriously, “Did you hurt yourself? Let me see.”

“It’s not like that.” An Wuyang quickly stepped back, his face wrinkled, and said, “I need to use the bathroom urgently.”

Huo Yunchuan frowned, “Then quickly go to the bathroom.”

Then he realized something was wrong. Following the pitiful gaze of the young man, he glanced at the door and immediately understood. “No need to be afraid; I’ll take you.”

“Well, it’s not really fear…” An Wuyang said awkwardly, but he didn’t look good in his current appearance. Unwashed face, uncombed hair, no image at all. He felt extremely embarrassed; going out like this might invite laughter.

All because Mr. Huo suddenly said he wanted to check his weight at noon, and he ended up drinking so much milk.

Huo Yunchuan, with a playful look in his eyes, reached out to hold him, “Let’s go.”

An Wuyang thought about it and felt that having Mr. Huo escort him was the best solution. He quickly nodded, “I’ll go to the bathroom first, and then greet everyone. Is that okay?”

He was just worried about seeming impolite.

“Well, you’re overthinking it,” Mr. Huo said.

With his tall and robust figure, he effortlessly shielded An Wuyang from view.

The people in the living room could only sigh at the sight of a glimpse of light-colored clothes and a pair of white, chubby indoor slippers.

Mr. Huo muttered, “It looks like he’s almost as tall as Yunchuan.” In reality, this height was considered short.

Zhang Ruoci smiled, “His hair is shiny and jet black, and his body seems to be in good shape.”

Huo Yunchuan’s father, Huo Xiao, hadn’t paid attention to anything in particular. He reluctantly said, “The slippers are nice; this type should be worn inside the house…”

The three gentlemen burst into laughter, patting their thighs and sighing. Yunchuan’s parents and grandfather were indeed three lively treasures.

It seems that as they’ve aged, they’ve been eagerly anticipating Huo Yunchuan getting married and having children. Now that it has finally happened, it’s only natural for their hearts to be warmed.

“Huo Grandpa,” Jiang Shaofei spoke up, “Wuyang’s health is indeed quite good.” With Huo Yunchuan’s attentive care, An Wuyang’s nutritional status, which used to lag behind, should have improved by now. Jiang Shaofei thought it would be better not to mention this.

“Yes, he’s being raised like a pig by Yunchuan every day. Even if it’s not good, it has to be good,” Ji Mingxuan said with a laugh. Even in the presence of elders, he maintained his casual demeanor.

Chen Chu pushed his glasses and also smiled, “You’ll see in a moment. Yunchuan treats Wuyang very well.”

It’s like raising a son.

The Huo family trio nodded in agreement, “Well, that’s good.”

Their eyes were fixed on the direction of the bathroom, looking particularly expectant.

After a while, the faint sound of two pairs of footsteps came from there.

The first to come out was Huo Yunchuan’s tall figure, imposing and upright, but there was nothing particularly eye-catching about him; they had long grown accustomed to it.

What really piqued their interest was the young man standing behind Huo Yunchuan.

He exposed half of his body, revealing a well-proportioned and slender figure. His arm was fair-skinned, and as it went up, it turned into a face.

The Huo family trio unexpectedly met a pair of dark eyes and were stunned.

An Wuyang was also momentarily stunned. There were so many people in the room, and it was different from what was agreed upon.

“The two on the left are my parents. They decided to come over temporarily,” as if sensing An Wuyang’s confusion, Huo Yunchuan explained. Then he brought the other person over, saying, “This is my grandfather.”

He introduced his grandfather first.

An Wuyang blushed suddenly and seemed a bit nervous.

Encouraged by Huo Yunchuan, he walked forward and bowed slightly, “Hello, Grandpa. My name is Wuyang.”

Huo’s grandfather nodded and smiled, “Hello.” He wanted to reach out and pat An Wuyang’s shoulder.

Unfortunately, he didn’t touch him. The boy seemed a bit shy and quickly returned to the side of his great-grandson.

Huo Yunchuan, still holding An Wuyang’s arm, brought him to his parents, saying, “This is Dad, and this is Mom.” Pausing for a moment, he added, “Dad, Mom, this is Wuyang.”

At a glance, An Wuyang saw that Mr. and Mrs. Huo had excellent temperament and looked quite young. Like Huo Yunchuan, they exuded a commanding aura.

If they stood together, it wouldn’t be difficult to tell that they were a family.

An Wuyang felt that calling parents was different from calling grandfather. If he were unfamiliar, he really couldn’t open his mouth…

But everyone was eagerly waiting, expecting him to speak.

An Wuyang hesitated, closed his mouth, and then bowed deeply, “Hello, both of you. Nice to meet you. My name is Wuyang.”

Huo Xiao and Zhang Ruoqi were slightly surprised, but they quickly adjusted their mood and nodded, “Hello.”

They looked at An Wuyang, who was indeed not tall, and his appearance seemed very youthful. He could be described as a very ordinary person.

The eyes of the Huo couple did not deliberately look at An Wuyang’s abdomen, but rather discreetly glanced over.

“Don’t stand, sit down,” Huo Xiao said, his sharp eyes looking at An Wuyang, “Let me apologize first. We should have informed you in advance, but this sudden visit was indeed impolite.”

If there was one thing An Wuyang was most afraid of in his life, it was parents.

He stood straight and replied, “It’s okay, you’re too polite.”

Seriously speaking, this house belonged to Mr. Huo. It was normal for his parents to come whenever they wanted.

On the side, Zhang Ruoqi, ever since she saw An Wuyang, had restrained her tough woman aura. Although she still made An Wuyang feel powerful, she was already making an effort.

At least, she smiled very gently, “Your name sounds nice. Is it the ‘peace and well-being’ kind of Wuyang?”

An Wuyang suddenly felt that she was much more amiable and also smiled, “Yes, that’s right.”

The Huo family trio looked at An Wuyang with deep, contemplative gazes, as if they had instantly grasped the cuteness of their son/grandson.

They all simultaneously focused their thoughts, thinking about when Yunchuan developed this peculiar taste.

“Sit down,” Huo Yunchuan found a soft leather stool and moved it behind An Wuyang.

“Okay, thank you,” An Wuyang nodded and sat down.

Although he didn’t lower his head, he kept his eyes downcast, rarely making direct eye contact with others.

Huo Yunchuan sat close to An Wuyang, his arm around An Wuyang’s waist because he felt that the young man by his side looked a bit lost.

He sighed inwardly.

Huo Yunchuan’s arm tightened even more, almost hugging An Wuyang onto his lap.

Although he really wanted to do that.

Anyway, An Wuyang had limited exposure to such situations.

The other person was not only several levels higher than him, but also Mr. Huo’s elder.

He always maintained a mindset of going with the flow and accepting things calmly.

“Didn’t you greet your brother Shaofei and the others?” Huo Yunchuan pinched An Wuyang’s waist, whispering.

“…” An Wuyang just remembered about it, “Brother Shaofei, Little Ming, Brother Chen.”

The warmly smiling young man obediently greeted each one.

“Hey!” The trio of young masters raised their hands to greet him.

“Little Yangyang, your wedding gift for Yunchuan, remember to ask him for it later,” Ji Mingjie spoke.

“Sure, so you receive gifts for weddings?” An Wuyang, showing a lack of experience, questioned, then expressed his gratitude with a smile, “Thank you, everyone.”

Although he hadn’t seen any signs of gifts yet, he was looking forward to them.

“Of course, grandpa has a gift for you too,” Huo’s grandfather, not disappointed after seeing his long-awaited person, smiled and brought out a gift, handing it over, “Here.”

“Thank you, grandpa.” An Wuyang received it with both hands and saw an exquisitely wrapped gift.

He suddenly felt touched, his nose tingling.

In his entire life, he could count on one hand the number of times he had received gifts.

The honest kid, Little Yangyang, said, “I rarely receive gifts in recent years, so I’m very happy.”

The people at the table looked incredulous. How was that possible?

Ji Mingjie directly asked, “How is that possible? Haven’t you received any on your birthdays in the past?”

An Wuyang thought for a moment and shook his head, “No.” He didn’t even celebrate his birthday.

Jiang Shaofei said, “At the very least, when you’re with Yunchuan, you’ve received some, right?”

Huo Yunchuan wasn’t a stingy person.

However, the atmosphere turned silent.

The expressions of those present changed, suddenly all looking at Huo Yunchuan.

An Wuyang, engrossed in examining the complicated outer packaging of the gift box, completely unaware, unintentionally put Mr. Huo in a challenging situation with just one sentence.

“…” Faced with the converging gazes, Huo Yunchuan calmly said, “Do I need to give gifts? What’s mine is his.”

His declaration left everyone with mixed feelings.

Saying it like this, after receiving the certificate, An Wuyang and Huo Yunchuan were inseparable. They shared prosperity and adversity, an undeniable fact.

Huo Xiao nodded without objection.

If possible, he naturally preferred for Huo Yunchuan to marry someone of equal status rather than a seemingly inexperienced and naive boy.

Whether An Wuyang was outstanding or not, he wouldn’t make a judgment.

Since Huo Yunchuan liked him, and he was pregnant now, that’s how it was.

Huo Xiao, considering this, glanced at An Wuyang again. The latter noticed his gaze, politely met his eyes, and even squeezed out a little smile.

“…” He was slightly stunned but looked pleasing, giving off an impression of a good-natured child.

“Our family is local. Where did you go to school?” The head of the Huo family asked.

An Wuyang knew the question was directed at him and answered, “I’m not currently attending school. My family lives in the southern part of the city.”

Huo Xiao nodded without further inquiries.

Sitting on his right side, Huo’s grandfather asked kindly, “How are your parents at home? Do you have any siblings?”

An Wuyang replied with a calm demeanor, “I have a sister and a brother, and my parents are doing well.”

“That’s good.” Huo’s grandfather sighed, gaining an impression of the child being somewhat introverted, though it might just be because they were meeting for the first time.

Seeing that her husband and father-in-law had both finished asking, Zhang Ruoxi then asked, “Yunchuan, when you two were talking, how old is Wuyang?”

Huo Yunchuan answered, “Eighteen. I’m a year older, and we’re both born in the Year of the Dragon.”

Hearing that Wuyang was already eighteen, the trio of Huo men breathed a sigh of relief. At least, it wasn’t a criminal offense.

Then came another question, “Do Wuyang’s parents know?”

Eighteen years old and still in high school? Being a year older was acceptable, but the crucial point was that Huo Yunchuan wasn’t someone who doted on people; they were well aware of that.

“I don’t know,” Huo Yunchuan replied. “I haven’t looked into his family situation. Regarding this matter, it depends on Wuyang’s decision.”

If it weren’t for accidentally discovering that the couple worked under the Huo family, they probably wouldn’t have intentionally investigated.

“You…”

Having obtained the certificate, yet not inquiring about the other party’s family. Even Huo Yunchuan’s father, Huo Xiao, felt that he wasn’t paying enough attention.

“What does Wuyang think?” Zhang Ruoxi asked curiously. “Do you not want your parents to know that you and Yunchuan have obtained the certificate?”

According to common sense, this explanation was inexplicable and must have some hidden motives.

An Wuyang, facing the elegant lady’s eyes, felt a bit flustered.

Lowering his eyes, he said, “It’s too sudden. I mean, from getting pregnant to obtaining the certificate with Mr. Huo, it all happened suddenly. They think I’m still in school, and I’m afraid they won’t be able to accept it if they find out.”

An Wuyang inadvertently let slip the term “Mr. Huo” again.

It might be because, subconsciously, he still believed that he and Huo Yunchuan were people from two different worlds. Therefore, hiding it from his parents was not only out of fear of their non-acceptance but also a last line of defense that he kept for himself.

Even if he was somewhat foolish, he was clear that he couldn’t entirely integrate into Mr. Huo’s family just because he was expecting a baby.

“I see.” The three members of the Huo family nodded, seeming to accept this explanation.

However, Huo Yunchuan felt that the young man who had been leaning against him was deliberately creating distance.

He furrowed his brows, and the arm that had been placed on the other’s shoulder was subsequently retracted.

Several young gentlemen watching on the side sighed inwardly, showing concern. They could tell that the inexperienced young man was clearly uncomfortable in this kind of situation, and his performance today was not as relaxed as in previous gatherings.

“Yunchuan, I’m starving. When is your family serving dinner?” Ji Mingxuan interjected, indifferent to how the elders viewed him.

“Indeed.” Chen Chu glanced at his watch. “It’s getting late. I think everyone must be hungry.”

Huo’s grandfather looked outside the window and, with a touch of compassion on his aged face, said, “Let’s go, let’s go eat. We can chat about everything else later. No need to rush.”

Huo Yunchuan nodded and called out to the kitchen. Then, he took An Wuyang’s hand and said, “Let’s go; I’ll take you to wash your face.”

“No need to bother about the guests; I’ll go by myself.” An Wuyang said, and he quietly freed his wrist from the grip it had been held in moments ago.

President Huo stood in place, silent for a moment. He turned to look at the bewildered crowd and then followed.

The door to the bathroom was locked. The man pushed it but couldn’t open it, frowning as he knocked on the door. “Open the door.”

The sound of splashing water came from inside, indicating that An Wuyang was washing his face. He finished, and before he could comb his hair, he heard someone knocking on the door.

An Wuyang thought someone needed to use the bathroom, so he quickly grabbed a comb and opened the door, only to be met with a slightly stern face, staring at him with a heavy gaze.

“Do you need to use the bathroom?” An Wuyang walked out, holding the comb, and offered the bathroom to him, saying, “Go ahead.”
