CHAPTER START---

---11 PM...

Sitting in the back of an armored SUV, Horizon is on his way back to UA, already in Musutafu with the school in sight atop its hill.

Within his visor, he was on a phone call with a potential lead for this new drug he discovered.

"So Suneater got hit?"

"Yeah," Fatgum says. "My Amajiki got shot with some weird bullet yesterday, but he slept it off. His Quirk wasn't working for a while afterward."

"Was it blue?" Horizon asks.

"Blue? Nope, it was red, I figured since you're in UA and Ryuko told me about how you helped her, asking you to take a look would be the fastest option."

"Normally I don't appreciate being treated like a personal crime lab, but this ties into something I'm working on so I'll allow it."

"Thanks man, knew I could count on you. The faster we get this done the fewer people get hurt."

"You already sent it with him?"

"Yeah, Amajiki said he'll find you at lunch tomorrow and deliver it."

"Right, now tell me the story, how'd things go exactly?"

"Well," Fatgum pauses for a moment. "He and Red Riot were on patrol when some thugs caught their eyes. I showed up and we took them all down, but one of their friends was in the crowd with a gun and shot Suneater in the arm, the bullet thing didn't even hurt him, just stung then fell to the floor, but it has a needle tip, injected him with something."

"And suddenly he had no Quirk."

"Yeah, he tried to use his Quirk but couldn't, but a few hours later and he's fine."

"Was it only the one bullet?"

"Yeah, weird right."

Horizon warps the one blue capsule into his hand, and makes it hover just about his palm.

"An entire warehouse for just the one capsule, then a group of thugs to act as a trial run, but also gave them the one. Manufacturing these things must be beyond difficult and expensive, and it sounds imperfect."

"Warehouse?" Fatgum asks. "What are you talking about?"

"Nothing for you to worry about, I'll analyze the sample you sent me, are you familiar with Edgeshot?"

"Yeah, Edge and I go way back!"

"Good, send him the same report you sent to me, we need to connect the dots because these events happened on opposite sides of Japan."

"The distributor you're hunting down is involved then, guess this means they move more than just guns, but drugs too."

"A powerful and dangerous drug, one shot and a top pro suddenly becomes Quirkless for a few hours," Horizon plays with the capsule in his fingers. "Blind a soldier for a second and he dies, take away a Pro Heroes Quirk mid-fight, for even a moment---"

"---They could kill anyone, even someone like All Might would be vulnerable...would have been vulnerable."

"Luckily it's in the form of a bullet," Horizon says. "Means people like Kirishima and Enji are mostly fine since they can either just shrug off the shots or incinerate them before they touch. Would have been really dangerous as an aerosol agent."

"And you can dodge it too, since you can warp."

"These won't work on me even if they hit, but sure."

"Huh, lucky guy, but best not to test that theory, we really can't afford to lose you."

"I know, is there anything else interesting in your district I should be made aware of?"

"Nah, just the usual stuff. If I find any more samples of this stuff I'll be sure to give you a call!"

"I appreciate that..."

"Huh, you know, you're a lot nicer than people give you credit for."

Horizon chuckles at that, "oh no, I'm a heinous asshole, you're just lucky you aren't one of those useless paper Pros."

"W---" Horizon hangs up.

He relaxes back into his seat as they make it halfway through Musutafu, about to reach his exit point.

Looking at the blue capsule in his hand he realizes the magnitude of this situation.

'Blue seemingly accelerates time in certain aspects of DNA, but this sample didn't do anything to Ryuko's hair sample when I tested it out.

Red somehow reverses a Quirk factor into uselessness for a few hours. But if the blue does nothing on its own, and the red can remove Quirks...

The blue is an antidote to the red, they want to sell Quirk-destroying bullets to villains so that they can actually fight people like Enji. Then turn around and pose as some pharmaceutical company and sell the antidote to the governments.

That's the only way since removing Quirks like that violates a lot of human rights, even if it would be appropriate for some villains.

I need to find a villain group with links for pharmaceutical companies, Feel Good Inc should be a good starting point.

Having some of those red ones on hand for the next All For One isn't a bad idea... I guess I'll collect one or two before this is all over.'

Feeling his ride about to come to an end, Horizon wordlessly takes out a few hundred dollars and leaves in on the seat, then warps away, something the drivers of this company are very much accustomed to, opening the privacy window to see him gone and a tip waiting for them.

SHAMBLES

Horizon is suddenly standing in a dark bedroom, unbothered by the lack of light he senses the light switch nearby and flicks it on.

Blinding light reveals the most pathetic thing he's seen at UA yet.

As if the entire room was a shrine to All Might.

Posters, banners, figures and toys, even the bedsheets were All Might themed. On some shelves to the side, he could see some stuffed toys of All might in all his different costumes, and beside the bed was an All Might-themed alarm clock.

'So this is where pussy goes to dry up...'

And most pathetic of them all, Deku is in bed wearing a thin ankle monitor, one that can easily be hidden by a pair of socks, keeping him in UA.

Horizon's had a week to cool off since last seeing Yagi to have Deku released, and now most of that anger has subsided.

Now he's just very, very, very annoyed.

"Mmm," Deku stirs awake, rolling over and throwing the covers aside as he rubs his eyes. All the while Horizon just walks around the room observing this overgrown shrine.

A few seconds later and Horizon just can't take it anymore, "my fucking god, get your shit together so I can talk to you."

Deku suddenly snaps awake, looking over to see Horizon holding his most prized possession, a limited edition series one All Might trading card, still in the plastic package, worth thousands of dollars.

He nearly forgets himself and rushes over to have him put it down, then quickly remembers exactly who was in his room, and how bad this situation can become.

"Uh, can you please, um---" he winces as Horizon holds it up, but relaxes a bit when he carefully puts it back into its stand. "Thanks..."

"Relax, I'm a hero, I'm always respectful of other people's items..." he says after breaking into Deku's room and touching his stuff.

"Right, uh, how can I help you?"

"You can't help me, because you're Deku, so just listen," Horizon quickly walks up to him and leans in closer, making Deku's back suddenly drenched in sweat.

"Uh---"

"Can you just go a few months without fucking up, is that too hard to ask for?"

"Wel---"

"No, seriously, because I put my neck on the line to get you out of a fucking assault charge, and child kidnapping charge, I signed as a character witness for you, understand."

Deku just nods stiffly.

"Good, because I trust Yagi to be a good little hero and do what he's told, but you, I don't trust you not to trip over your own leg and break it, so before you do anything stupid, just think of what I'll do to you if you make me look back."

"I---"

Horizon's hand moves absurdly fast and grabs Deku face, his right hand on Deku's lower jaw keeping his mouth shut, then lifting him off the floor.

Then he begins squeezing.

Then the searing pain starts.

Deku's pupils dilate as he feels his jaw straining, his gums being squeezed and teeth pushed together, slowly crushed in Horizon's vice grip.

One For All: Full Cowling-10%!

Lightning begins jumping around Deku's body, harmless exaggerated static but always a flashy sight.

Then Deku raises both his hands to pry Horizon's fingers off his face.

BOOSTER SHOT!

Where he expected some resistance but for One For All to win out in the end, he's clawing against steel and making no progress, feeling the fingers still slowly tightening.

Deku can almost hears his jaw creaking and teeth cracking, feeling and tasting the warm blood filling his mouth as his gums burst and tooth fragments dance across his tongue.

"Mmmm!" Deku's muffled cries are accompanied by tears as his jaw finally shatters and his mouth is deformed.

One For All: Full Cowling-18%!

His muscles burn and sting as he pushes past his comfortable power usage, desperate to make the pain stop.

The growing pain in his arms is nothing compared to what Horizon is causing him, and as he just barely starts to pry Horizon's fingers away.

BOOSTER SHOT!

A strange blue energy vapor begins pouring off Horizon's arm and the grip tightens, completely crushing Dekus' lower jaw and shattering the few remaining teeth.

And the pain is just enough to make Deku's eyes roll back and his world goes black.

"Augh!" Deku coughs as he wakes up, a few hours later, laying on the floor of his room in a small blood stain with fragments of teeth scattered about it.

"Ngh," he holds his head, feeling a massive headache. "That hur---" he stops talking, realizing that he's speaking fine, and rushes to his mirror.

"Right... because heroes don't hurt people," he mutters, now having a much better understanding of why All Might is so cautious about dealing with Horizon.

Finally having a glimpse behind the curtain, as he looks at his perfectly healed face in the mirror.

His eyes then look over at the clock, seeing it's already 10 AM.

"Oh no, I'm late for class!"
