"*Wahhhh* I could use a nap right now..." Yawned Lena as she stretched her body. She wasn't particularly tired but Lena's "Lena's 100% Infallible Grand Strategy" worked too well, she didn't have to worry about anything other than using a few accelerations.
"I still can't believe you were on Shoji's back for the entire second test..." Kyoka replied with disbelief in her voice, she expected anything during the cavalry test but Lena's ridiculousness was on another level entirely it seemed.
"That's jealousy I hear?~" Lena asked smugly as she put a hand to her ear.
"You wish" Kyoka replied dryly.
Kyoka and Lena were currently in the Festival's cafeteria, which was filled to the brim with participants. Honestly, it was a miracle that Kyoka found a table to sit at.
Toru was standing next to Momo in line to order their food, apparently they both got caught up in talking to their teams and now they are paying the consequences.
As usual Lena ordered ridiculous amounts of food, Kyoka on the other hand thanks to her training has started to eat a lot more than before (but nowhere near the ridiculous level of Lena or Momo).
"Um, so would you like me to ride on your back for a whole ordeal?" Lena asked with a smile on her face looking Kyoka in the eyes, the latter blushing a little at Lena's words. "I think that would be great, although I think it would be better if I carry you no?"
"I-I didn't mean that!" said Kyoka hastily picturing the scene in her head.
"Hahaha!" Lena started laughing at the nervous expression on Kyoka's face.
"..." Kyoka mumbled something in an incredibly low voice.
"Did you say something?" asked Lena as she stopped laughing.
"Nope" Kyoka replied matter-of-factly, before diving back into her food.
"Ehh... whatever... have you noticed that all the tests are basically, run or die?" Lena said as she placed her palm on the underside of her chin looking like she was deep in thought.
"You're overreacting Lena" Kyoka replied rolling her eyes.
"I guess..." Half sighed Lena as she had a thoughtful look on her face before looking at Kyoka who was finishing eating "Hey Kyo."
"What's up?" Kyoka said with her head bowed as she looked towards Lena.
"After the festival is over do you want to go eat somewhere?" asked Lena suddenly without changing the expression on her face.
"Eh, I wouldn't mind but why the sudden invitation?" asked Kyoka with a raised eyebrow towards Lena.
"I don't know I just feel like going out with you somewhere" Lena replied with a shrug, she just felt like hanging out with Kyo.
"Well, as long as I'm not busy of course" Kyoka agreed with a nod.
Suddenly the cafeteria speakers came to life and PresidentMic's voice could be heard shouting, "YOU HAVE 5 MINUTES BEFORE BREAK END!!!"
Kyoka and Lena locked eyes for a moment, before Lena's gaze locked on what little food Kyoka had left. "So...are you going to eat that or..."
"...Yeah just give me a few minutes, I'll fight third rate anyway."
The crowd inside the festival stadium was excited, the first years students showed a ferocity and tenacity worthy of Heroes to pass the previous trials.
Meanwhile the Professional Heroes were interested in several of the Class 1A students to be their internship partner. The obvious crowd favorite was the handsome son of Hero Number 2. But that didn't mean the others were overshadowed by Todoroki's father's fame and influence, not at all.
The Heroes who were not easily swayed by Todoroki saw a class full of potential and talent.
"That boy is interesting..."
"He doesn't seem to be used to..."
"She lacks experience... but she could be worth it..."
Hundreds of Heroes took mental notes on each student, the way they moved, the way they thought, their Quirk, etc. Every detail was being analyzed by hundreds of Heroes, that's not counting the Heroes who were not present in the festival stadium, so there could be thousands of Heroes watching their performance.
"VERY GOOD DEAR AUDIENCE!" Announced PresidentMic as the audience went wild.
"THIS FESTIVAL IS COMING TO AN END! SO LET'S GET ON WITH THE MAIN EVENT LADIES AND GENTLEMEN!!!" The giant screen was coming to life again and several lines could be seen crossing each other until a single line remains at the end. The audience immediately realized what the final test was. "THAT'S RIGHT MY DEAR AUDIENCE! IT'S A ONE ON ONE BATTLE TOURNAMENT!"
"Now we are going to draw lots to determine the battles" Midnight exclaimed as he looked at the participants.
The screen changed to a large sphere that looked like a large bird cage with several smaller balls inside.
The large sphere began to spin causing the smaller balls to crash into each other for a few seconds.
Suddenly the sphere stopped and ejected 2 of the smaller balls revealing two names.
Kaminari Denki. "For the love of..."
Oxton Lena. "Ara~"
In process was repeated a couple of times until the entire table of participants was revealed.

Emerging from the tunnel came out Kaminari looking nervous at the thought that thousands or even millions of people would be watching his bout next. Quickly shaking his head and putting on a confident face to try and curb his nervousness he went to the platform created with Cementoss.
"ON THE OTHER SIDE WE HAVE ONE OF THE TOP OF CLASS 1A KNOWN AMONG HER PEERS FOR HER WIT AND SPEED! OXTON LENA!
From the other tunnel came out Lena wearing a neutral expression and walking casually towards the platform where Kaminari was standing.
They simply gazed into each other's eyes for a few seconds before PresidentMic started the countdown.
"ONE!!!"
"TWO!!!"
"THREE!!!"
"START!!!"

Good news I finally have college vacation which should give me more time to write!
A small curious fact is that the battles were randomized by a roulette wheel, it would have been a bit sad and funny to see Toru fight against Todoroki... again.
