As a teacher he had a mental list about everything related to his students, their way of thinking and acting, their fighting styles, their goals and dreams, and so on and so forth.
Kaminari, has a lot of potential on his shoulders having an Electricity based Quirk. Although they were not rare, they were still very useful when it came to stun or paralyze an opponent, and if enough energy was used, it could even faint the opponent to knock him out of combat.
On the other hand, his carefree and joking personality, along with his lack of goals make him a lazy and distracted person, that can be seen in his poor control over his Quirk which is a pity considering that this is quite powerful.
Lena, I can't measure the potential she possesses due to the rarity of her Quirk, but I would bet that it is also very high, although apparently she has already exploited it quite a bit. She is one of the few students of which I still have no idea how to make her better, at least I have no idea how to improve her Quirk.
On the other hand, her fighting style, while decent and practical when it comes to combat, because it is focused on fast and precise movements... is very predictable, she doesn't know how to make or read feints in combat, her muscles reveal where she is going to move and her eyes (which are hidden behind a transparent plastic viscera in her costume) look where she is going to move next. While he makes up for most of her weaknesses with ingenuity when it comes to using her Quirk, that in real combat may not be enough....

Lena quickly activated her Quirk, causing her to appear behind Kaminari to kick him, the only proof that Lena moved and didn't teleport was the light blue trail she leaves in her wake.
Kaminari although dumb, is not stupid and deducing that Lena would approach from some of her sides, he activated his Quirk to send a strong shock around her.
The shock hit Lena full on paralyzing her for a few seconds. Seconds that Kaminari didn't waste and tried to push Lena off the platform.
"So much for that Lena it was a good match."

Suddenly Lena's figure of covered in a celestial energy before Lena ran through Kaminari like a ghost. Kaminari stopped her run to the edge before looking back in confusion.
From the outside, Lena looked like a videotape in reverse moving not as fast as before but apparently it made her intangible for those seconds being in "reverse".
"WHAT THE HELL?! OXTON SEEMS TO HAVE TURNED INTO A GHOST ALL OF A SUDDEN! WILL YOUNG KAMINARI BE ABLE TO COUNTER THAT?!" PresidentMic announced with disbelief in his voice. He already knew Lena could do that but it never hurts to cheer up the crowd no?

Lena simply gave him a few words before turning around and entering the tunnel she had come out of. Kaminari did the same after a few seconds of cursing his bad luck.
When Lena reached the stands she went to her seat reserved by Kyoka and Toru, Momo had already left to get ready for their bout the participants had 5 minutes to prepare.

"THE WINNER IS MOMO! HE MOVES ON TO THE SECOND ROUND AND WILL BE FIGHTING LENA!" announced PresidentMic hiding his childish annoyance at the bad show the audience was getting.
"I- huh?" Momo still hadn't come out of her daze... let's just hope the next battles are more interesting....
