On the other side of the presenter was another man looking at the camera with calculating eyes, he was a little skinnier than the Presenter but he was quite handsome. His skin was crimson red with black hair and a pair of horns on his head, he almost looked like an Oni.
"As you can see on screen, the fighter for this round is Tenya Lida, a young aspiring hero hailing from the Lida Family, the prominent family of Professional Heroes, with the most prominent currently being The Ingenium Hero" Explained the Presenter as he pointed to the large screen that changed to a basic profile of Lida Tenya and some picture of the Lida Estate and Ingenium.
"Interestingly enough he fought with young Mei Hatsume, a young lady who also comes from a family important to Japan! None other than the Hatsume Family, this family is recognized for their great technological advances throughout Japan being owners of the main distributor of technological products used by Heroes today, as well as pioneers in the creation of specialized suits for heroes!" Explained the Oni as the screen changed back to show a large skyscraper with a large pink and white lens logo.
"The match concluded with Mei Hatsume's defeat, admitting defeat after... 20 minutes of promoting her products! What a nerve!" The Presenter exclaimed as he laughed at the situation, instead of a combat tournament for a recognition that would bring fame all over Japan and part of the world... it was more of a TeleShop advertisement.
"Indeed, such a chutzpah never seen in the previous Festivals, really impressive" Said the Oni shaking his head at such chutzpah on the part of the female participant.
"Moving on to the next battle we have... Sero, an ordinary young man with a Quirk that allows him to shoot ribbons out of his elbows, similar to America's famous former Arachnid Hero" Said the Presenter as he compared him to one of America's most iconic Heroes.
"And he's going up against... The son of Japan's very own current second place finisher! ENDEVOUR!" The Oni exclaimed as the background showed the most recent promotional video of Endevour and his company, who curiously sponsored the program.
"As expected from the son of the second best hero, the duel only lasted a few seconds ending with Sero buried in a gigantic block of ice, almost as big as the stadium itself" The screen showed a picture of Todoroki's terrifying power generating something like a huge iceberg in the middle of the stadium.
"A terrifying participant, no?"
"Indeed, and the favorite of the networks."
"Now we only have two bouts left before we move on to the second block where things could start to get interesting" Announced the Announcer.
The screen in the middle of the TV announcers changed to a column chart with the names of the actual winners of the first round, the chart was a live vote on which of the contestants could win the Tournament. If you look closely at the top left corner, you could see that the creator of this was none other than the official UA account itself.
From highest to lowest was: Todoroki, Kyoka, Lena, Momo and Tenya.
In the comments part, UA had posted a comment from UA itself which read, "Participants will be added and removed as the Tournament progresses."
"It seems that UA never sleeps" commented the Presenter jokingly for such a squad.
"Not for nothing is it the best hero school in all of Japan, they even do Marketing with their own participants and students" Hummed the Oni thoughtfully as he gave his opinion on the subject.
"Interesting strategy to say the least. Well, that would be the news about the UA Sports Festival, for more news stay tuned to... HEROTV!"
Woah! So many people!... Toru thought excitedly though she was also a bit nervous, though that quickly disappeared when she remembered she was invisible... a bit of a downer.
Toru looked at her opponent who was coming up to the stage and... she felt a bit annoyed that she had to fight with one of her friends.
Really universe... of all people it had to be her... Toru thought with a pout and a frown, which unfortunately no one could see. At least I didn't have to deal with someone like Todoroki...

Neither girl made a move they just stared at each other for a few seconds.

Toru suddenly raised her right hand very slightly so that Uraraka would not notice it and threw a small beam of light on her thigh, to try to immobilize her. Uraraka dodged it thanks to the small flash she saw out of the corner of her eye, but she couldn't dodge it completely as a part of the light beam hit her glancingly, it wouldn't stop her movement but it hurt like shit.
Since when can her Quirk do any damage! Uraraka thought as she gritted her teeth in pain.
Toru realizing that her surprise attack was a failure raised both hands and separated all her fingers, which began to glow with a white light.
Uraraka who saw this knew that Toru would not move from her place and bombard her with hundreds of light beams, and seeing how fast they were she knew she could not dodge them all.
But if I get close he will most likely destroy me with melee combat. Uraraka thought remembering Izuku and Lena's words.
"This is weird... I'm pretty sure Kyoka didn't know how to melee, he almost always stays at a distance and takes an enemy by surprise with her Jacks and breaking the ground, so it's possible that-" Explained Midoriya in his usual Nerd mode, but much much more Nerd than usual.

Without wasting any time she quickly got to her feet and made a suicidal dash towards Toru.

Toru intentionally lowered the damage caused by her bullets to not hurt her friend so much, but seeing how she was quickly approaching her position and somehow dodging the bullets she could only frown.
You can't make it easy, can you? Toru thought with annoyance and bitterness.
Uraraka was less than 2 meters away from Toru, and the latter only sighed before charging with her left hand a large amount of light before shooting it all over Uraraka's face.
Uraraka's vision was filled with white from one moment to the next but she kept running forward.
Suddenly she felt an impact on her back that made her fall forward....
She felt the grass touch her body and realized immediately.
"I-l-lost...?" muttered Uraraka as she slowly regained her vision.
"HAGAKURE TORU WIIIIIINNNN!!!" PresidentMic announced confirming Uraraka's fears.
"N-No..." Uraraka said as her eyes became moist and her breathing ragged. Suddenly he felt a comforting hug from her opponent.
"Are you okay Ochako?, I'm sorry I went a little overboard I'm sorry..." Toru said with concern, she didn't want to hurt her friend too much during their fight....
"I-It's okay Toru it's okay" Uraraka answered while holding back tears and putting on her best smile, she quickly said goodbye to Toru with the excuse of not making the audience wait....
After Uraraka's defeat, it was the turn of her nerdy boyfriend, I mean, Midoriya who was able to defeat Shoji at the cost of 3 fingers, the resistant giant should not be underestimated.
Now the fights are randomized again.
As there are odd fighters (7) the one who does not come out in the draw will automatically go to the pen last round.
