The next participants were already in their respective tunnels waiting while planning how to disqualify the other. Kyoka was a bit more serious than usual as she was thinking about how to disqualify Tenya, which is not easy knowing his speed based Quirk.
Tenya on the other hand was thinking about how to get close to Kyoka without sending him flying with one of her sonic waves, because while he may be fast, he is not so fast as to lose sight of the human eye and in that little time Kyoka has enough time to throw him off the platform.
I'm determined to use my Quirk to the maximum... even if it means losing to Todoroki. Tenya thought after considering several possibilities.

"About 20 minutes or so" Kyoka answered as she looked at the clock on the wall, turning her gaze back to Lena "After my fight you will have to fight Lida if you want to win the third place"
"You beat Lida?" Lena asked with a smile on her face "The robot must be sad hehe."
Kyoka smiled seeing that Lena was okay before she walked over to her bed and gave her a hug. "Be more careful next time... I got worried you know?"

"Hey... how's Lena?" Todoroki asked. Even after their match he still wondered what was that state Lena was in, it gave a completely different feeling from the mischievous and cheerful girl.
"She's fine... just a little tired" Kyoka replied in a flat voice. Nodding as a gesture of thanks for the information, Todoroki took a stance for their final bout.
"BEGIN!!!" Mic announced.

Kyoka responded by breaking the ice quickly with her Jacks as she carefully slid on the ice approaching Todoroki as best as she could.
Todoroki began to slide with the help of his ice creating something like an ice board on his feet to keep his distance while at the same time creating ice spikes with the intention of hurting Kyoka.
She tried to dodge the ice spikes but with the floor turned to ice it was difficult to move and some of the spikes scratched her. Annoyed by this she threw some sonic waves towards Todoroki breaking the spikes and damaging the ground but they were not powerful enough to reach Todoroki.
Shit... the closer I get the more he moves away, I can't reach him with the ground like this, if I keep fighting I'll eventually wear out first... Kyoka thought with frustration. Time to improvise...

Chunks of ice fly all over the arena while the arena itself is destroyed by the power of the two attacks...
Until Kyoka's great sonic blast begins to lose power giving way to Todoroki's icy mountain.
"Shit!" said Kyoka while trying to increase the sound... failing miserably.

"What are you? A spoiled child?" Kyoka said with an accusatory tone, only to receive a giggle from Lena that made her sigh with amusement. "I have to go to my match with Todoroki... any advice?"
"Don't try to break his ice blasts with your Jacks, he'll just create more" Lena said as she made a thoughtful face before frowning. "And... that's it, I guess if you manage to wear him down if he uses his ice too much you might stand a chance... but if he uses his fire then you're screwed-"
"Language in the infirmary" Recovery Girl interrupted.
"Sorry" Lena apologized to the Heroine as she resumed her advice (?) "As I was saying, if he uses fire give up... maybe some blast of sound a could knock him down but considering the distance between one and the other... agh, I don't know make up your plan don't ask the patient..."
"You're the patient now aren't you?" Kyoka snorted with derision in her voice at Lena's comment.
"Well... duh?"
"Ugh well thanks for the advice I guess..." Groaned Kyoka as she rubbed her temple, her strategy against Todoroki will have to wait a bit then....
"You're welcome" Lena replied proudly as she made a big smile.
"Haa..." Sighed Kyoka as she stood up from the chair and stretched a bit. "See you later I guess..."
Kyoka started walking towards the door when she suddenly stopped and walked back towards Lena quickly. Lena was surprised by Kyo's sudden change of course, looking at Kyo's face he seemed more expressionless than usual.
"What's wrong Kyo--" Suddenly Kyoka leaned to Lena's side and gave her a quick kiss on the cheek!
The next moment Kyoka shot out the door without giving Lena time to process anything.
"Fufufufu... the young ones today" Laughed Recovery Girl as she looked at Lena's stunned face.
"I-I-w-what?" Lena was so confused by the sudden kiss that she forgot to speak Japanese!
"Did I miss something?" Toshinori asked as she walked into the room looking at Recovery Girl's smiling face and Lena's blushing face, in her arms was a pile of food.
Todoroki stared at his new opponent, the short rocker/goth girl who was close friends with Lena, she looked at him expressionlessly but still expelled a serious aura around her as took a fighting stance and kept her guard up even if the match hadn't started yet.
"Hey... how's Lena?" Todoroki asked. Even after their match he still wondered what was that state Lena was in, it gave a completely different feeling from the mischievous and cheerful girl.
"She's fine... just a little tired" Kyoka replied in a flat voice. Nodding as a gesture of thanks for the information, Todoroki took a stance for their final bout.
"BEGIN!!!" Mic announced.
Todoroki immediately touched the floor with his hand freezing the entire arena floor and Kyoka's legs in less than a second.
Kyoka responded by breaking the ice quickly with her Jacks as she carefully slid on the ice approaching Todoroki as best as she could.
Todoroki began to slide with the help of his ice creating something like an ice board on his feet to keep his distance while at the same time creating ice spikes with the intention of hurting Kyoka.
She tried to dodge the ice spikes but with the floor turned to ice it was difficult to move and some of the spikes scratched her. Annoyed by this she threw some sonic waves towards Todoroki breaking the spikes and damaging the ground but they were not powerful enough to reach Todoroki.
Shit... the closer I get the more he moves away, I can't reach him with the ground like this, if I keep fighting I'll eventually wear out first... Kyoka thought with frustration. Time to improvise...
Suddenly Kyoka stood perfectly still.
Todoroki took advantage of the strange situation to create more ice picks, but before he could throw them Kyoka opened her eyes and put her two Jacks together pointing at Todoroki while smiling.
If you looked very closely Kyoka's Jacks were resonating with each other, as if they were two magnets.
Todoroki had a very bad feeling and created a big brace on his feet and back as he decided to finish Kyoka off with his best move.
"BOOM BASS!!!" Kyoka shouted as he unleashed a thunderous sound came out of his Jacks leaving nothing but destruction in its wake!
"GATEN HYOHEKI!!!" Todoroki shouted as he created a massive mountain of ice in Kyoka's direction countering his attack!
Both attacks fight against each other, neither seeming to have the advantage over the other.
Kyoka's great sonic blast fights against Todoroki's constant generation of ice destroying it as it tries to advance but Todoroki's great defense is merciless and doesn't budge an inch.
Chunks of ice fly all over the arena while the arena itself is destroyed by the power of the two attacks...
Until Kyoka's great sonic blast begins to lose power giving way to Todoroki's icy mountain.
"Shit!" said Kyoka while trying to increase the sound... failing miserably.
"..." Unbeknownst to Todoroki he is using his fire to not overcool his arm.
In the end, Todoroki's mountain destroys the attack Kyoka completely enveloping her in ice and pulling her out of the arena while creating a mountain as big as the stadium.

The entire stadium is silent because of the great strength that two of the UA students have just demonstrated, some heroes have their hair standing on end thinking about being the ones on the receiving end of one of the two attacks.
It is no mystery to anyone that both participants are incredibly powerful and terrifying.
At this very moment a thought is going through the minds of the entire stadium and viewers....

"Jiro Kyoka has been eliminated. Todoroki Shoto wins the UA tournament, congratulations" Announced Aizawa because Mic is still in shock by the great power of the two participants, even Aizawa although he wouldn't admit it was surprised by this.
Looks like someone was training... Thought Aizawa while looking at Kyoka's unconscious body which was buried in a big mass of ice.
When the door of the infirmary opened Lena stood up a little to observe who had entered... only to open her eyes like plates when a fainted Kyoka entered on a stretcher.
"Kyo! *BONK* ugh" Lena shouted as she got off the bed to check on her friend when Recovery Girl hit her with the cane at an imperceptible speed.
"Don't scream!" Scolded the old woman with an aura that promised pure pain, cowering and trembling Lena apologized, the old woman nodded and went to quickly check on Kyo's condition.
"Is she okay?" asked Lena with concern.
"Yeah she just fainted, there are a few scratches but nothing serious" Recovery Girl reported, causing Lena to let out a sigh of relief she didn't know she was holding back. "I'll take care of her in the meantime, shouldn't I go prepare you for your last battle?"
"Yes but..." Lena said only to fall silent after a few seconds. She wanted to stay by Kyo's side... but she would surely scold her when she woke up, telling her not to worry about her or something. "It's... it's okay I'll go... please take care of her..."
The old woman nodded, as Lena left the infirmary heading towards the arena to inform Midnight about her participation....
"Oh dear are you all right! I was worried that a potential like you would be too damaged hehehe" Midnight said as she looked Lena from head to toe with analytical eyes and a perverted smile that made Lena sweat internally.
"Well... as you can see I'm fine so I'd like to participate against Lida for third place."
"Ah, don't worry honey, he gave up the match."
"What?" asked Lena instinctively, she didn't know Lida very well but she didn't get the feeling that he was someone who would just quit. "Why?"
"A family emergency, from her face she must be something very serious she almost looked on the verge of tears..." Midnight explained as he put a hand to her chin remembering the words Lida gave him before he bolted for the exit.

"After the short break we continue with the awards ceremony!!!" Midnight announced as she waved to the audience, behind her were three pedestals with numbers on each of them.
On the pedestal with the number 1, stood Todoroki looking at the cameras and the audience expressionlessly... although to the most observant he seemed to be a bit annoyed. Perhaps because Endevour was looking at his son with an unfriendly face....
On pedestal number 2, stood Kyoka with some small bandages on her arms and a large bandage on her head covering her ears and Jacks. Apparently, the last attack she unleashed took her Quirk to the limit, severely damaging her Jacks and hearing, the good news is that the effects are temporary and she should be recovered if she rests for a few days, but until then, she should not use her Jacks under any circumstances. She looked at the camera nervously as she tried to avoid the gaze of the thousands of people.
On pedestal number 3, stood Lena, the athletic girl looked a little paler than usual but still looked at the cameras and the audience with her classic smile. At first she was upset that Lida withdrew from third place... but on second thought it was a great blessing for Lena, she was in no condition to fight after the battle against Todoroki, besides she personally didn't think Lida deserved third place, she had the easiest matches by far. CAN SEE THAT YOU TRAINED A LOT EVERY ASPECT OF YOURSELF TO KEEP A BALANCE, I CAN'T GIVE YOU RECOMMENDATIONS!!!! BUT YOU SHOULD TRY TO BE MORE CONSCIOUS OF THE ENERGY YOUR QUIRK CONSUMES AND MAYBE LOOK FOR A WAY TO INCREASE YOUR ENERGY TANK!!!"
"Um" Lena nodded in confirmation and took All Might's advice seriously, after all, he was Japan's Number 1 Hero must have a lot of wisdom about Quirks... right?.

"AND THE WINNER OF THE FESTIVAL! TODOROKI!" shouted All Might excitedly before turning his gaze to Todoroki and speaking in a lower tone. "I could see that you hesitated several times to use your left side... I won't pry into the matter, but it's always good to ask for a helping hand."
"I... I realized some things... things I need to improve... I'm not as good as I thought I was... the fight against Midoriya confused me, but it made me realize some things..." Replied Todoroki staring into the void for a moment before looking the Hero in the eyes again "There are things I need to figure out..."

"AND THAT CONCLUDES THE SPORTS FESTIVAL! REMEMBER THESE 3 WINNERS WILL MAKE GREAT STRIDES IN THE FUTURE AND BECOME GREAT HEROES FOR THIS SOCIETY!!!
