Lena left school exhausted from today's long day, she felt like she had been at least a week at the UA Festival when it was only a few hours. All in all, the weather was weird shit, at least she got to eat from Lunch-Rush before she left so her energies were maxed out again but she still wanted to sleep all day.

Kyoka had gone with Recovery Girl to speed up the healing process of her ears and Jacks a bit, Momo had been picked up by her servants to join her parents, and Toru was left chatting along with Karishima, Ashido, Tsu and Kaminari in the classroom.

The other students were already on their way to their respective homes to meet their families and talk about the Festival.
Interestingly, Bakugo didn't throw any tantrums or yell, he looked... reflective.

"Whatever, it's not my problem" Lena said to herself as she walked out of the great wall of UA. As soon as she stepped outside she was met by her father's car as he waved at her asking her to get in.

She quickly got into the car where she could see that her father had company. In the passenger seat was her Uncle and in the back next to Lena sat a beautiful golden haired woman.

"Uncle?" Lena asked in confusion as she looked at her Uncle, who was smiling at her with amusement, and at the mysterious woman who was looking at her with analytical eyes. "And she is?"

"Hey Lena how are you?" David said with a friendly smile as if he was talking to an old friend. "This is one of our research partners, her name is Angela."

"Nice to meet you" Said the woman in English with a thick accent, but Lena couldn't identify it. "As David already said, my name is Angela, Angela Ziegler. You put up a very good fight in the Tournament my dear."

"Oh" Lena was surprised by how polite the beautiful lady was, moreover by the familiarity with which she spoke to her, though Lena wouldn't complain about that. "Thank you so much for the compliment! My name is Lena Oxton! Daughter of the conduit hehe!. Hey dad would it be that David finally stopped having 70+ year old scientist friends?"

"HEY!" David replied feeling hurt by the sudden attack on his person, pretending as if a bullet hit him in the heart, which brought out a laugh from everyone in the car.

"Hahaha" Winston calmed down before giving Lena a smile through the rearview mirror. "Congratulations on winning third place, you put up some great battles. I was originally going to scold you for using the Accelerations too much, but since you never left the limit I'll let it slide."

"Hey. Don't worry, I'm not that dumb you know?" replied Lena simply with a shrug of her shoulders.

"..." Winston was silent as he looked at the road.

"Oi"

"Anyway, Angela and David will be living with us for a few days for work stuff, so don't do anything annoying" Informed Winston as he shot an arrow at Lena half jokingly.

"I'm not annoying!" Lena exclaimed drawing a laugh from her father's friends. "HEY!"

"HEEYY!!!" Lena exclaimed as she ran with her hand raised as a greeting, she was in the middle of a large shopping mall where hundreds of people could be seen walking without giving any importance to the noisy greeting Lena.

"Hey..." Kyoka replied with a small wave of her hand as she let Lena hug her. "You look good."

Lena was dressed in a short yellow jacket over a white shirt, she was wearing short jeans and white shoes.

"You look good too Kyo!" Complimented Lena as she kept hugging the smaller girl.

Kyoka was dressed in a white jacket over a black colored shirt, she was wearing dark grey jeans a bit torn, white shoes and on her side a small black bag. She had black glasses on to keep a low profile due to the popularity of the Festival that was still present.

"Although I should buy some more clothes the jeans are a bit tight..." Kyoka muttered to herself with a look between happiness and annoyance. Lena just laughed at the comment and they started walking through the mall.

Today was the last day of the break UA had given them to relax before the internships, all the students were very excited while others were a little saddened. There were rumors on the internet that some students caught the attention of some of the 10 Heroes of Japan!

Although they were only rumors the students could not hide their excitement. And that would be represented in the more than 150 messages in their Class chat rumors and news.

After walking around for a few hours and looking at some stores (mainly exercise and music), at some point both girls held hands while walking through the stores but neither mentioned the matter.

After a few hours both girls started to feel hungry and headed to the food area looking for... well, food.

"What would you like to eat Kyo?" asked Lena as they walked into the giant food court holding hands, there was a stall of just about any food you could imagine and more.

"Um, just about anything really" Kyoka replied as she looked around. Not as crowded as I expected....

"How about sushi?" suggested Lena as she looked around.

"Nah, I ate that recently, my parents celebrated my second place by buying a moment's worth of food" Kyoka informed as they continued to wander around the various restaurants.

"You said anything was fine..." Lena said with her eyes rolling as she looked at her friend.

"Really? I don't remember" Kyoka replied giving Lena a mischievous smile.

"You know you're more adorable when you smile don't you?" That comment from Lena caused a blush to appear on Kyo's face which made the goth girl avoid the look of triumph Lena was giving her. "Fufu..."

After a few minutes of deliberation they decided on a pasta and pizza restaurant. As usual Lena ate by the truckload as usual, but this time Kyoka wasn't that far behind even though she still ate less than Lena.

Both girls let out a satisfied sigh as they rested at one of the tables in the restaurant.

"That was really good" Lena sighed with her eyes half closed. "I think I'll come back to this place later..."

"Um" Nodded Kyoka listened carefully to the classical music playing in the restaurant giving a relaxing atmosphere. "The music isn't pretty good either..."

"So do you want to go somewhere else or...?" asked Lena to Kyoka as she stretched her arms a bit before getting up from her seat.
Checking the time on her phone Kyoka replied, "It's not that late yet, if you have somewhere in mind sure."

"I might have one..." Lena replied with a mysterious smile.

In a wooded area, two female figures could be seen walking slowly along a polished stone path.

The taller figure had short brown hair, she was dressed in light and flashy colors giving off a bright and mischievous vibe.

The smaller figure had a short black bob cut, she was dressed in black and white colors giving a bit of a somber air about her.

These two figures were Lena Oxton and Jiro Kyoka who had just arrived at a park called Plaza del Rio, its name came from a water fountain that simulated a small river in miniature, there were small rivers with stone borders and some rocks and small trees giving the feeling that the person standing nearby was a giant. There was also a stone statue dedicated to a soldier of the Quirk War who was recognized by the country for his great service.

Finding a bench to sit on Lena and Kyo sat down to observe the strange beauty of the square.

"This... is very beautiful" Kyoka said impressed by her surroundings. "How did I not know this existed?"

"Probably because you don't leave your house" Lena replied sarcastically earning a slight vibe from Kyoka's Jacks.

The two simply fell into a comfortable silence after that, slowly Kyoka put her head on Lena's elbow gently. The latter was surprised by the sudden action but said nothing as she gently placed her arm around Kyoka as they looked at the small rivers. After a few minutes the lights came on giving a fanciful touch to the scene before them.

"It looks like a small world..." Lena said in a soft voice so as not to disturb Kyoka. "If you look closely there are some small animals scattered around the small jungle..."

"Um" Kyoka gave a small nod as she continued to look at the mini landscape. "You know..."

"What's wrong?" asked Lena as she looked at her out of the corner of her eye. "The river got your tongue?"

"I... well... just..." Kyoka tried to speak but the words stuck in her throat, until she forced them out in her own way. "Haa... thank you so much for everything..."

"Yeah, if you don't thank me" Lena said half jokingly while putting on a proud smile.

"I mean it, thank you so much for everything" Kyoka thanked once again with a small blush in her voice that quickly disappeared as she looked off into the distance. "It was a fun day, it always is when I'm with you... I... I'm glad to have met you, you know. I'm not very good at socializing with people... hell, I suck at talking to people... I know I have a bit of a strong temper and that can push people away a bit in general... plus my looks and tastes aren't entirely feminine..."

"..." Lena was silent as she paid close attention to what Kyo was saying.

"My parents are music composers... I guess they wanted me to follow in their footsteps, since they would almost always teach me something related to the world of music... they were even more excited when I showed talent in that... but...." Explained Kyoka with a bitter and ironic tone, though with a touch of joy in it, as she remained motionless leaning on Lena's shoulder. "But I never saw music as anything more than a hobby, something I enjoyed composing or listening to..."

"When I entered high school... it was as if a kind of sphere formed around me without my realizing it. People had already chosen their classmates in the blink of an eye...and I was like the one left out of the class for not reacting in time...even though I was used to it, it was frustrating..." Kyoka said after a few moments of sighing, Lena didn't know why, but decided to stroke Kyo's head to try to calm her down a bit, which apparently worked. "And then you came in, on that rooftop... and even though I didn't show it, I really enjoyed talking to you about music with you know. But then the school year ended and I got to choose which school I was going to go to... my parents put a lot of pressure on me to choose a music related school, but I didn't feel like that was what I wanted to do..."

"During that time I felt... I don't know... but I wasn't very motivated" Kyoka said while scratching her head trying to think of the right word but failing. "My Mother who was worried about me, and tried to cheer me up... but I just kept rejecting her saying that it was okay... that I would eventually figure it out..."

"In the end, with my Mother's approval, I decided on Heroism, there's no reason why I decided on that, but I felt a hunch that it was the right choice" Kyoka said in a firm tone as she gently closed her eyes. "And well... I must say that my instinct was right, things wouldn't have been so fun and exciting if it wasn't for you guys... but especially you, who managed to get me out of my bubble... seriously thank you so much."

"Kyo..." Lena said softly, as she turned her head to look Kyoka in the eyes. "You know... spending time with you feels amazing in every way, you're a charismatic, cheerful and fun person, you see things in a way that other people can't, and that makes you special. Or at least that's how I feel, so don't say your tastes suck or that you're not feminine, everyone has different tastes and everyone has different attractions, you never know when someone might like something about you..."

"So don't be discouraged, I'm not going anywhere..." Lena promised firmly as she kept looking Kyoka in the eyes, not caring about her friend's surprised face. "If you need company, or someone you just want to talk to, I'm always available and always will be..."

Suddenly Kyoka walks up to Lena and places a soft but very nice kiss on Lena's lips that takes her by surprise. There was no lust, no desire, just gratitude and true affection.

After a moment Kyoka pulls away with a flushed face as she quickly returns to her position in Lena's arms.

Lena wordlessly returns to caress Kyoka's head affectionately as they continue to watch the calm scenery, which contrasts greatly, with the raging storms in the hearts of the two observers.
