...

Mirio and Lena arrived at the site where the explosion had occurred a few seconds ago, they could see several destroyed buildings with flames protruding from them, civilians running in fear for their lives plus firefighters and police officers handling the situation as best they could.

But they couldn't observe any heroes in action, so it was best to assume that only the two of them were present in the area... at least, for now.
Mirio quickly approached a police cruiser that was parked not far from the building. The officer was communicating over the radio, giving some instructions to his fellow officers on how to handle the situation.

"Officer! What's the situation?!"

The officer looked at Mirio quickly before speaking in a professional tone. "Several buildings exploded simultaneously, the reason is still unknown but most likely a villain."

"There were casualties?"

"So far it's hard to say, but we believe there were possibly some injured from the explosion, others are possibly buried under the rubble. We already called a local Hero agency to help us move the debris and locate the trapped people, the fire department will take care of the fire but... can I ask them to scout the area for the cause of the explosion?"

"Don't worry! Take it for granted!" Mirio said with a confident smile inspired confidence in the agents and the civilians themselves. "Come on Tracer!!!"

Lena nodded as they quickly made their way to the area of the destroyed buildings without letting their guard down. Inspecting the site, it appeared that the explosion was caused from the first floor of the main building which quickly spread to the surrounding buildings.

"This... is terrible."

"Don't let your guard down..."

Searching around the rubble they couldn't find any sign of the villain until....

BOOOOM!

Another explosion. This time near Lemillion and Tracer who thanks to their above average stamina didn't get blown away by the small shockwave.

Both challengers ran towards the area of the explosion and were met by what appeared to be a lanky gentleman in a burnt office suit and broken glasses. In his hands were some orange-red marble-like spheres, looking at him better each marble was a different size.

"THIS IS THE BEST!!! I SHOULD HAVE DONE THIS A LONG TIME AGO!!!" The lord shouted to the sky as he opened his arms, as if he was freeing himself from all his sins towards God. His body was trembling slightly and small burns could be seen around his body.

"You! Hands up now!"

The middle-aged gentleman slowly turned his head towards Mirio's voice with a creepy half-smile on his ugly face.

"WHAT?! I CAN'T HEAR YOU OVER THIS NOISE!!!"

The Lord threw a much bigger marble behind him pointing towards another building, the guy's grin got much bigger for some reason. At this moment both Mirio and I quickly approached towards him taking advantage of him being distracted, but....

BOOOM!

Another explosion. This time we stepped back a bit, watched in shock and horror as the building buried exploded into a thousand pieces. The Villain's grin got much bigger as his eyes watched the scene in front of him with fascination.

"HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAH!!!"

Gotta be careful with those marbles... I thought as we watched him cautiously for a few seconds, I turned my gaze to Mirio and saw that... it was going through the ground. Wh-?!... I should have asked him about his Quirk, right?

I shook my head recovering from the surprise and immediately used an Acceleration to appear right underneath the Villain with a kick aimed at his jaw.

The Villain shot a few meters backwards, but while being pushed he threw 3 marbles in my direction. I used another Acceleration to dodge the marbles and hit the Villain again, this time in the back.

"BITCH!" shouted the Villain as he turned to punch me, which I blocked with my bare hands, while kicking him in the stomach. "GUh..."
At that moment Mirio appeared behind Villano and gave him a hard punch to the head that knocked him unconscious.

"Well that was easier than I thought... but his Quirk is very dangerous..."

BOOOOM!

Behind us another explosion occurred sending us to the ground. We quickly got up looking in the direction of the explosion with our guard up.

"There are two villains?!" Mirio exclaimed in surprise.

"No, I think it was just the villain's marbles, he threw some at me and I had to dodge them... although I thought they exploded on contact..." I explained as I shrugged. I shouldn't let my guard down in places like this....

Mirio visibly relaxed at my explanation of the explosion. He pulled some ultra-strong cables from his belt to tie the villain's hands and feet, before carrying him on his shoulder like a sack of potatoes.

"Alright then let's get him to the officers."

I nodded as we walked back towards the patrol cars and fire department. When we arrived they were apparently talking to some Heroes informing them of the situation, some firefighters started moving the debris to find the trapped people.

The officer who asked us the favor of dealing with the villain saw our arrival and quickly approached us. "I see everything went well, he's the one who caused the explosions?"

"Yes, I tied him with a very resistant rope in case he tries to escape, but I think it would be better to put some handcuffs or something to immobilize his arms since his Quirk apparently generates some kind of marbles that explode on contact" Explained Mirio with a smile while leaving the villain on the floor, where a group of officers quickly approached to load him towards an armored truck.

Nodding to Mirio the officer thanked us and the civilians for resolving the encounter quickly, he also asked for our Heroes names and was surprised to learn that we were Aspiring Heroes and not Professionals. He then said goodbye to us and headed to where the firefighters and

Heroes were working to move the debris. Some reporters approached us to learn more about the situation to which we had no problem giving them a little background on things.

We both stayed to help the firefighters and Heroes by moving some debris and helping the people who were trapped inside. It was getting late, so we decided to head back to the Nighteye agency to report our involvement in the incident.

"How was your first encounter with a villain?" asked Mirio as we walked into the Agency.

"Not bad, I think I handled it better than I expected... although it's a shame what happened to those people, I wish I had been there to help sooner" I replied in a lower tone than I had expected.

Mirio made a bitter face at her new companion's comment. In the villain incident they had found 6 dead and 40 injured, although the officers said it was a miracle that more people hadn't died, it still weighed on Mirio and Lena's minds.

But that's the way of the world. People die every day, but it's a Hero's job to reduce that as much as possible.

"Next time we'll save many more people!" Mirio exclaimed, cheering Lena on as he looked at her with a smile while striking a pose.

Lena was surprised by the gesture but also smiled towards Mirio as they headed towards Nighteye's office.
