In the refreshing morning at his house, Cheng Qiang stood tall watching the surrounding from the top of his great wall despite the cold temperature. It was because the winter will soon come, so the temperature became so cold.
Far in the outside of it, he saw some farmer cultivating their crops. While in the inside, so many peoples busily unloading a variety of things from the big trucks.
They then stored it in the different warehouses. Each of the warehouses also has different function. Like the frozen warehouse, low-temperature warehouse, to humid warehouse. All of these warehouses were climate-controlled kind so he can change their function when he needs.
Each of these trucks carried myriad of different things. From the many kinds of long-lasting foods, the different type of clothes, medicines, medical's tools, tons of seeds, a variety of metals, gasoline, building material, and some other things, such as miscellaneous things.
These all are the last and an extra batch of resources he could think of. Of course, he had hired some expert on certain fields and questioned them. Such as pharmacist and doctors to get all of these myriad medicines and their clear purpose. Also, the crops experts to get a better understanding of it.
Like the kind of crops that most suited in the certain of climates, the kind that has the biggest survivability percentage in it and etc. Then he combines it with his knowledge on his memory to get all of these seeds as the result.
He spent the last penny of his money on these resources. It was not he lacked all of these. He has far enough actually. He only did these to completely used up all of his leftover money. He even built some other things such as the food processing plant and the new shelters for the livestock on his farm.
'Finally, all the preparation on my plan list has been completed. I only need to do one more thing to welcome that event! That fu*king apocalypse!.' He clenched his fist. Which made the cracking sound as the result while murmured.
Cheng Qiang then took a deep breath of fresh air and slowly exhaling it. At least he relieved that all his plans finally completed. It made the weight on his shoulders seem decreased and made his confidence increased.
He surely will successfully keep his oath, to protect his sisters from any harm.
However, despite this grand preparation he had done, it actually not perfect. It is obvious with how few peoples that will live in his safe haven. The peoples he had now were so few comparing the size of this haven.
Truthfully, he could gather many peoples easily with money and also have an important role for this haven on top of that. Such as the doctors, nurse, mercenaries and many more to fill the need for manpower of this haven.
It will make his safe haven to be more 'safe' go through the apocalypse.
Yet, he did not do so. He rather chose this as he was hard to trust anyone after what he had experienced. Despite now was not in the middle of the apocalypse, he still chose this.
He had the thought if he just added peoples arbitrary, It will take more bad than good. Yes, when the apocalypse is not happening he will not even have the slightly bad thought about them.
But, when the apocalypse strike like the lightning at them, made their life became unbearable, so contrast to how they usual days, he would not so dumb enough to still trust them. To these still refused-fact peoples that their wonderful world has ended.
Like what he had experienced and seen about these peoples. They will only increase his problem and slow down development instead.
They will demand to have a normal life, which is actually very luxurious in the apocalypse. Demand everything they lack, the bountiful food, the same right as in the past, complain about every little thing, speak about the law and many more.
He did not want to have that kind of peoples as he was not accepted any kind of compromise and no man could order him. Like in the past, he took no command at all, he was not below anyone, he only did what he wanted.
So he rather to lacked peoples than perfecting his grand plan. Like the thunder that shocked them came after the lightning, he will let these people experience what the meaning of the apocalypse was, it was not just the combination of alphabets. Let they got slapped to woke up from their naivety first before he adds them. Made them realize that it was fortunate to even live in the back of his great wall.
As for all the peoples that will live in his safe haven, he still did not completely trust the peoples that Da Hongli brought as he still does not know if they will change their disposition because of the apocalypse. However, they got Da Hongli trust and he has known them for quite a long time.
So he also believed them, but the chance for them to change their disposition is still there. That was the reason why he still did not completely believe them.
It was easy to count how many peoples will live here. Currently, there are only He, both of his sisters, and some of Da Hongli's subordinates.
There are 20 peoples from Da Hongli subordinates, 3 peoples from his old team who didn't have and bring their family;Fei Rong, Zhao Qiang and Chu Feng. 2 people who have and bring their family; Chang wu who brings his wife and 10 years old son, and Ling Tian who brings his mother.

In total, there are only 39 people who will live in this safe haven. They all will arrive here tomorrow, just prior one day before the winter start.
As for Zhang Kai wife, Lan Shuang... It was very sad that she has left 6 months ago. Despite Chen Qiang effort to make her living style become better and healthier, he still could not change fate in the end. He could only delay it.
