"Oi Ethan! You work around here?"

I was stunned. "You know each other?"

Ash looked at me. "Well, yeah. We're buddies during high school. Aren't we Ethan?"

"Yes." Ethan said while looking at me.

"So where did you guys meet?" Ash asked seemingly oblivious to the situation.

Before I could reply, Ethan beat me into it, "In college. She's my friend there." Haha shouldn't you add 'close' there? Seeing we could be so close if we want it?

"Oh wow. What a small world. So would you like to come with us for dinner? I've got to treat this pretty lady."

Ethan raised his brows. "Oh you are? Sure. We've got a lot of catching up bro. Won't you mind Cass?"

"Uh no not at all." I hope this night works out for the better.

I found myself lodged at the back of the cab between Ash and Ethan. I don't know why no one volunteered for shotgun. There I was, leisurely sitting at the back when suddenly the boys opened each side of the car's door and sat beside me. I'm pressed in the middle since the boys all took the space. Why am I here? Oh god help.

We made our way to Luxury Dines. Wow, this guy's rich. He's treating me here? We chose a seat near the window and a waitress apporached us.

"Ma'am, Sir, here's your menu." I grabbed one and Ethan said politely, "Thanks."

What I saw completely shocked me. One dish costs a lot of money. Who would like to pay such big amount for a one-sitting food? No way am I gonna order. This is too much.

I didn't know why but I noticed that the boys are staring at me.

"What? Is there something wrong?"

"Your order, my lady." Why is Ash always calling me that?

"Uh I don't know. I'm not really familiar with all these." I said shyly to them.

"She'll have the Stuffed Chicken Valentino." Ethan said. The waitress thanked and left.

Ash raised his eyebrows then asked, "Why didn't you ask her if she likes it or not?"

"I know her food preferences." Ash looked at me questionably.

"We're part of a tight circle in college. And we used to hang out a lot. So that's why," I answered. He answered me with an "hmm", while lightly scratching his chin.

We talked just about our work, Ethan's and Ash's and mine. Ash also told Ethan why he owes me this dinner which Ethan responded with, "She likes the dark more and she can't say no to food. That's a golden rule."

When the food arrived, we are plunged to silence. No, I was plunged to silence while the boys continued to chat. I focused eating on my food because it's so damn delicious.

"Is it so good that you can't bother talking to us?" Ash asked in wonder.

Ethan, being the gentleman that he is, answered for me, "Yes. When the food's to her liking, no one can ever disturb her. No one." Ash laughed at that. Wait did I just call Ethan gentleman? Yeah whatever. Maybe he still is. Maybe we were just at the wrong time.

I finished eating so satisfied. I smiled and thanked Ash. I also included Ethan, just for the company. It would give a bad impression to Ash if I did not. Ash paid and we went out.

"So guys where do you live? Maybe we could just walk-" And then the skies came crying out on us.

"Nope. Walking is a no." I immediately answered laughing.

"Yeah. We should just take a cab." Ethan seconded.

"Oh sky! Why are you so cruel?" Ash cried out.

We hailed a cab and we had the same arrangement as before. They decided to drop me off first. The ride home was a little boisterous, since they were bickering about the rain and its inconveniences.

When I reached my apartment building, Ethan opened his side of the car and helped me out. I waved goodbye at the both of them. I ran all the way to entrance and watched the car speed away.

I opened my room and immediately washed myself. When I finished, I lay in the bed thinking of today's events. Why was Ethan at the school? Was it because of Ash? Or because of me?

My phone suddenly rang, a message from an unknown number. It read:

'Hey Cass! Thanks for today. I can't wait to see your tomorrow. -Ash'

I smiled. I gave my phone number to him at the school, so that we could contact each other if one of us decides to be absent. I was about to reply when my phone rang again. What? Who would call me this late? I checked and there it gave me the answer.

Ethan's calling me.
