In reality it was very simple, all his men especially those who were closest to Kelan had felt his change of mood and they didn’t want to be present when he was going to explode.

Caleb after seeing his men fled didn’t know what to do, his man wanted to join the others on the battlefield where there were still few Titans and a dozen of Cassandra’s men, and at the same time, he couldn’t let Lena alone because she was the only human here and she was completely helpless.

Kelan then freed himself from his grip by removing his hand from his arm and he said in a cold tone without looking at him or even turning around : “I have to go, stay with her, you are the only one she knows here…”
When Kelan started to move again and was about to leave to join the others, he called out to him, shouting his name in a voice that sounded desperate… He really couldn’t believe his eyes, was Kelan really mad at him ?

After seeing the golden glow in his eyes and then the shocked look he was giving him, he felt slightly better, and so he turned on his heels to walk through the teleportation portal that closed right behind him.
Caleb still couldn’t believe it, Kelan was really mad at him, he ran his tongue over the cut Kelan had just made on his lip and he suddenly heard Miguel burst out laughing and when he looked at him Miguel said to him when he had recover enough to be able to speak : “Sorry Cal, but I’ve never seen that expression on your face before… I couldn’t tell that Kelan was so fierce.”
He then added more seriously : “By the way, you can tell Kelan that he can join us, if he’s interested of course.”
Caleb nodded and he smiled in spite of himself, Kelan had really turned him on and he knew it, he couldn’t wait to be alone with him… And then he remembered something important.
He asked Miguel hesitantly because it was a huge favor he was about to ask him : “Look Miguel, I know this is sudden and maybe I should have waited for a better opportunity to ask you this, but… Can you marry us ? The sooner the better.”

The soldiers had immediately obeyed this man’s orders and only a small group had remained here, which he had sent a little further to be closer to the place they were supposed to guard.
The soldiers who had just left to fight didn’t know what was waiting for them outside these walls and Kevin had smirked when he had seen that they weren’t very happy to receive so many different orders in such a short time.
The destabilization he had planned had worked perfectly and that was when he had received confirmation from Kerry and Ian that they had entered the courtyard of the Royal Palace.
As the corridors where they were had been emptied of their soldiers, he signaled to everyone to follow him because discretion was not an option anyway and their goal was to advance as quickly as possible to where the Queen was being held prisoner.
