'Let's see how you handle this!' Kace used Stampede and sent a powerful thrust towards the figure, who barely reacted in time to his sudden acceleration! As the enemy stepped aside, his daggers slid along the shaft of Kace's spear, creating sparks as he kept its trajectory away from him.
Kace's eyes zoned in on the fact that the enemy seemed to be struggling to divert the force of his blow. Which meant that he did not specialise in Strength. 'So, an assassin type. Whoever sent him for me was a fool! They should know how hard it is to get the drop on me!'
Kace was enraged at the apparent show of be3ing underestimated! His blood boiled as he lashed out with a kick at the assailant! The robed figure deftly performed a side flip over his leg that took them away from both of Kace's attacks! While mid-air, he laughed the pair of daggers towards Kace before replacing them with a new set from within his sleeves.
Kace grumbled as he activated Kinetic Vision to follow the trajectories of the daggers. Spinning on his foot that was still firmly planted on the ground, Sylvan's form changed to a short sword as the clink of metal striking metal ensued. The two daggers were harmlessly knocked away as Sylvan retook the spear form.
'That would have hit me if I kept the spear. It's too long to accurately deal with that kind of sudden attack!' Kace became slightly wary after that exchange. It was clear that this figure had experience in this line of work. The figure suddenly accelerated straight towards him! 'Someone's eager! Come, let's play!'
Kace thrust with the weapon at various angles to test his opponent's reflexes. It quickly became apparent that he would not be able to land a conventional blow at this distance. However, at the same time, his opponent could not find an opening to slide inside his reach. It led to something of a stalemate between the two. In time the would-be assassin was sure to tire out faster than Kace due to the excess movements they were forced to make. While Kace could comfortably keep up his assault, that barely wasted any energy at all!
The sounds of another fight suddenly reached Kace's ears as he realised that someone else was keeping Jal busy somewhere out of sight. 'Oh ho, so they're attempting to take him out while delaying me, are they? Does that mean he was the target? Or are they hoping to take out the weaker of us first before presenting a united front against me? Well, no matter. I'll break whatever they throw at me!'
Kace changed the tempo of their exchange as he quickly ramped up his assault! The robed figure began to lose its cool as his spear began to create superficial holes in the robe that still missed his opponent's main body. As if in response to this sudden change, another warning hiss entered his mind as his hydra head witnessed eight more daggers flying through the air towards his back!
Kace grunted at the pathetic attempt as he waited for them to get closer. Kace used his own body to obstruct his opponent's view of the sudden danger for as long as possible. Once it reached a critical moment, Kace leapt into the air, performing a backflip while performing a complete one-eighty to face the direction of the latest assault.
A scream of pain resounded in the air behind him as the hydra's vision confirmed that his opponent had been riddled with their reinforcements daggers. The figure slumped to the ground as a dark pool of blood began to spread in the sand. Kace refocused his attention on the four newcomers. All of whom were decked out in the same black hooded robes.
'Looks like they've decided to take this seriously then!' Kace grinned as he refused to wait for them to make the first move! Using Stampede to quickly close the distance, he watched as the robed figures prepared themselves to respond to whatever he would throw at them! Kace could only grin at their folly!
As Stampede wore off, he planted a firm foot in front of him and threw out his left palm to face the spot between the four figures. 'Plague Spear!' A green crystallised spear shot forth as Kace felt his mana reserves take a minor hit. The spear was fast as it approached the group, who ignored it as it seemed like it was miss aimed anyway. Its trajectory took it on a safe path that would altogether avoid all of them.
Kace grinned as they let their guards down, and his spell became the centre point of a ten-metre radius that included all four of them. He quickly balled his open plan into a fist as a smirk flashed across his face as he stared at the group mockingly. 'Detonate!'

The crystal spear shattered, throwing shrapnel in all directions as a green mist spread from its initial location! To their credit, the four assailants attempted to defend themselves from such a sudden surprise! However, it was inevitable that the shrapnel shards' small size would cover too much area to escape from or block every one of them.
A cacophony of anguished screams erupted as the poison was injected into their bodies directly from the shards while they also inhaled the poison mist! Their skin took on a horrible bloated purple colour as yellow pus started to leak from their orifices. Kace approached their writhing bodies with a dominant attitude.
