Chapter 157 - Music Competition (1)

The songs being melodious was one thing. More importantly, the extent that they were tailored for Yu LeLe was simply incredible.

Each song of the entire album, down to every single detail, was perfectly tailored for Yu LeLe’s unique character and her voice.

That had further made Wang Yue decided to bring Samy along with her to meet up with Su Ran.

“I didn’t mention that previously. I hope that is okay with Instructor Su.”

“It’s fine.” Su Ran shook her head and expressed that that wasn’t a problem.

“May I ask where she is right now?” Su Ran looked around the conference room and did not see the singer.

“Oh, I’m sorry. Samy is powdering her nose in the back and will be joining us shortly,” said Wang Yue as she handed over a set of the document that she brought with her over to Su Ran. “Instructor Su, here is some information on Samy. You can take a look first.”

“Okay.” Su Ran took the document from her and looked at the cover.

“Chinese name: Su Xue, 29 years old?”

Su Ran lifted her eyebrows and quickly turned her attention to a 1” photo on the upper right-hand corner of her introduction. She paused for a little and a suggestion of doubts passed through her eyes.

“Instructor Su?”

“Hmm?”

“Is something wrong?” asking Wang Yue when she noticed the slight change in expression on Su Ran.

“Oh, nothing.” Su Ran shook her head but the doubt in her eyes remained.

The picture had been edited.

That was standard operation for photos of stars or performers. Nothing special about it.

What really made Su Ran wonder was that, for some odd reasons, the girl in the photo looked familiar to her as though she had met her somewhere before.

Nevertheless, when Su Ran searched the original owner’s memory, there was nobody by the name of “Su Xue”.

“Pardon me. I went to touch up. Thank you for waiting.”

A very charming voice came from behind her while Su Ran was still pondering.

Then she saw a very eye-catching woman walked inside of the conference room and walked over to Wang Yue.

Even though the singer in front of her had on her a very European-style makeup, Su Ran could still tell that she was the woman in the picture.

“Instructor Su, this is Samy.” Wang Yue introduced her to Su Ran.

“Samy, this is Instructor Su who we will be working with on this project.”

“Hi.” Su Ran smiled and greeted her.

“You---” Su Xue, too, had reached out her hand but it stopped mid-air when she looked over at Su Ran.

“You…” Su Xue was taken aback when she first saw Su Ran. After some hesitation, as though she had just recalled something, her eyes widened all of a sudden and she was short of turning pale.

“You are Su…”

“Su Ran,” added Su Ran.

“It is you!” Su Xue rolled her eyes and, looking at Su Ran as though she was looking at something that could dirty her eyes, she took a few steps backward.

It seemed that not only did she know Su Ran, it seemed that Su Ran had, in fact, left a lasting impression with her. Su Ran was finally able to find the face in original owner’s memory that match that face in front of her.

She was one of Su Ran’s relative. Wasn’t she the granddaughter of Su Ran’s grandaunt?

Except that, if memory served her right, wasn’t her name Yang Xue in the past? Since when did she adopt the last name Su?

Su Ran felt dubious.

In addition, the way that this Yang Xue, no, Su Xue, acted was a bit odd as well.

Su Ran was at most surprised when she ran into Su Xue. But why was Su Xue shocked and frightened when she saw Su Ran?

Shocked make sense.

After all, original owner was only 15 when she was kicked out of the Su’s and had no way of surviving on her own.

After so many years, everyone at the Su’s might have assumed that Su Ran was already dead.

But why was she afraid of Su Ran?

As much as Su Ran was a stuck up person who looked down on her relatives, she couldn’t possibly have left them with post traumatic stress.
