Miao Yuan was stunned for quite some time. With a lowered voice, she pouted and complained, a bit incoherent at times, without agreeing. She said, “I haven’t finished eating this lamb skewer yet.”
Chen Mo took the lamb skewers from Miao Yuan and ate it whole. He licked his lips as he told her “It’s finished now”.
Miao Yuan stared at him in a trance, “I still need time to think about it.”
“How much time?” Chen Mo could not relax.
Feeling conscious of their surrounding, Miao Yuan asked Chen Mo “Doesn’t the lamb skewers taste good today?”
Chen Mo picked Miao Yuan up in his embrace. “I don’t think so.”
Miao Yuan let out a small gasp in surprise. Feeling both excited and shy. Her heart was beating so fast it reminded her of the first time she rode a roller coaster. Chen Mo carried her to her apartment. They ran into a neighbor while on their way up, when their eyes met, Miao Yuan’s face turned red and she buried her face into Chen Mo’s embrace. “It’s all over now! I can’t face them anymore.”
Chen Mo chuckled softly. “It would be enough if you only see me.”
Chen Mo got the key from Miao Yuan’s bag. With a kick, the door to the apartment banged open. Miao Yuan smiled as she backed up but ended up getting pulled back by Mo Chen.
“Marry me?” Chen Mo stared intently into Miao Yuan’s eyes.
Backed up against the wall with her feet barely touching the ground, Miao Yuan breathlessly reprimanded him “You’re forcing this marriage!”. Chen Mo aimed at Miao Yuan’s lips, using his tongue to give her some playful kisses. Miao Yuan lost the remaining air from her lungs, it became difficult to breathe. Her head became faint and dizzy as she sought for Chen Mo’s lips.
“Let’s marry!”
