Just as I was explaining the drawbacks of magic Selen stopped and started following something with her eyes. When I followed her line of sight, I found she was staring at a cart transporting criminal slaves.

I then 'accidentally' let out some killing intent and she went even whiter than normal and started trembling but, even still she never took her eyes off of mine.

Even though she was stuttering I could still hear the conviction in her voice and see the resolution in her eyes. I then retracted my killing intent, and her legs almost gave out under her. She let out a relieved sigh.
"Hmph, I see you're resolute. *Smile* Sorry for the little test. Just wanted to make sure you had the resolution to love and stick around that reckless idiot."(Rina)
