It was much easier getting back into the city compared to when Fenris had left with Ami and the others. Although the gatekeepers seemed wary when they first saw him, they immediately let Fenris in once they recognized him.
… They seem like nice people, Fenris concluded about the gatekeepers, completely unaware of their growing misunderstandings. They did seem oddly considerate towards him, but Fenris didn't think that people being nice was something to worry about.
With that thought out of the way, Fenris hurried towards the city square.

Louis, Gen, and Lily had an indescribable expression on their faces as the blood-soaked Fenris happily trotted towards them with a wagging tail.
“I’m here.” Fenris’s tail splattered its surroundings like a macabre paintbrush.
“Man… I feel kinda bad for whatever you fought.” Louis murmured.
“Nn, don't worry… Most of the blood is mine,” Fenris reassured him.
“... That ain't the problem here.”
“Really?” Fenris was shocked. People usually got mad at him when it was someone else's blood.
“... No, it’s definitely still a problem if it's his blood though?!?” Lily realized. “Fen, how much HP do you have left?!”
“Uh…” Fenris glanced at his display. “12?”
Lily immediately pulled out a wooden staff and then mumbled something before raising it aloft and saying “[Cure]!”
It tickles… Fenris felt his skin tingle as a bluish light shot out from the staff and enveloped him. He shook out his body.
“Ew… [Clean].” Lily grimaced as blood splatted on her face, prompting her to cast another spell.
This spell felt even more ticklish than the last—but, thankfully, it had gotten rid of all of the blood covering Fenris before he shook himself off again. Satisfied with her work, Lily unconsciously started patting Fenris’s head.
“...” Fenris froze in place and stared blankly at Lily.
““...”” Gen and Louis exchanged a look with each other.
Lily kept patting Fenris for a few more seconds with a smile on her face until she realized what she was doing.
“... Ah!” Her face started reddening as she suddenly became very keenly aware of what she was doing. Fenris seemed a bit disappointed when Lily practically flung her hand off of his head.
“I’ve never… felt something like that before…” he bashfully scratched his cheek.
“Stop that!” Lily recognized this pattern. “Why are you blushing?!”
“Ara… You’ve taken another one of his firsts…” Gen put one hand to her cheek as if troubled. “... Then again, you were more gentle than a certain someone, so I suppose it's fine.”
“That's true…” Lily agreed, easily scapegoating Louis.
“Wait, why am I being targeted again?!” Louis cried.
Watching his friends quibble with each other, Fenris simply thought to himself,
... It's good that they're getting along.

- Certain attacks may inflict [Bleeding] on the target. Those affected by [Bleeding] will take %MAX HP damage (based on status severity) every few seconds.
Restoring HP by any means (besides natural HP regeneration) will reduce the severity of [Bleeding]; if the severity would be reduced below [Bleeding 1], the status effect is instead removed.
