Having recovered from Gen and Lily’s teasing, Louis decided to get their hunting party back on track.
“Alright, first things first—” Louis turned his attention to Fenris before immediately getting sidetracked again. “... Uh, what's going on here?”
“... Dunno?” A small crowd had formed around Fenris, who seemed incredibly confused by the amount of headpats he was getting—though he wasn't necessarily displeased by the situation, if his tail was any indication.
“Hey, I haven't gotten my fill of fluffing yet!”” Lily dashed over, causing the rabble to scatter like pigeons.
The fleeing people seemed oddly frightened by Lily’s step-in, but Fenris decided not to ask why and simply enjoyed Lily’s ear fluffing.
“No, seriously… The heck's going on…?” Louis grumbled under his breath, before letting out a sigh and resetting his train of thought.
“Anyways, before we go out to hunt, it looks like we’ll have to get Fen some new duds.”
The clothes were in complete tatters; Fenris’s pants were in a particularly dangerous state, and would likely be showing something if it weren't for the system’s automatically-equipped underwear.
“What were you even fighting, anyways?” Louis asked. “It must've been one heck of a monster if it messed you up that badly.”
“Uh…” Fenris usually emptied his head while he was fighting, so it actually took him a few moments to recall what he’d fought. “Wolves... A bunch of them.”
“Wolves!” A spark suddenly appeared in Gen’s eyes as she exchanged a look with Louis.
“The guild pays pretty well for those, I hear…” Louis did the thing where his glasses shined after he adjusted them.
“... I-I don't like where this is going,” Lily took a few steps away from them, retreating behind Fenris.
“If you’ve got money, there's only one thing to really spend it on… Fen!”
“—?! Yes?” Fenris jerked up out of his headpat-induced stupor.
Gen and Louis jumped into the air, crossing over each other as they flipped and landed in sync, striking lively poses.
““It's time to teach you about fashion!””
The fashionable plaza-dwellers, who were significantly less confused than the other onlookers, nodded their heads in approval and applauded. Lily groaned a quiet “Nooooo...” as she shrunk even further behind Fenris.
“... I see.” Although Fenris had resolved himself to learn more about fashion after the ‘grilled fish incident’—as dubbed by Ami and the others—he was once again reminded that he would never fully comprehend fashion’s depths.

“Watch out, she’s using her Super Combo!” A member of the crowd shouted.
