While Gen and Louis were particularly enthusiastic about taking Fenris shopping for clothes, Lily seemed downright traumatized by the prospect.
“No more fashion…” Lily was curled up into some kind of defensive ball. “I don't want it…”
“... Is it… bad?” Fenris’s ears flattened, offput by how strongly she was rejecting it.
“It was terrible!” Lily exploded. “We went to upgrade our gear, and spent almost twice as much time shopping as we did hunting!”
“Oh… So that's why you all look different now…” Fenris said, finally noticing their new clothes.
Louis, in his standard loud style, was now wearing a striking black gambeson with tight leather pants. A vibrant red scarf, so long that it was almost more like a cape, was loosely coiled around his neck; it arguably made Louis less shady-looking, though at the cost of making him significantly more conspicuous.
Gen’s style was much more subdued (relatively speaking, anyways) and seemed to focus more on functionality—however, she had not compromised on her equipment’s fashionability, either. Although the streamlined shape of Gen’s scalekin body made conventional fashion styles look awkward on her, the pauldrons of her leather, fur-lined vest filled out her silhouette, allowing the rest of her ensemble to flow together. Conversely, taking advantage of her physiology, an extra utility ‘belt’ was strapped around the base of her tail, suspended by the other belt at her waist.
Unlike the other two, Lily had ‘normal’ clothes: a forest-green shawl on top of a white sundress, trimmed with lace. The outfit was something that wouldn't be out of place in the real world—which, considering that most people were either living out their fantasy dreams or letting their creative energies run wild—was surprisingly refreshing to see.
In fact, the reason why Lily had chosen that kind of outfit was because of the fatigue that she had built up from Gen and Louis’s passionate recommendations.
“I lost count of how many different outfits they made me change into… I was harshly toyed with.”
Gen disappointedly shook her head.
“And I thought he had learned after toying with you, Fenris… To think that he would go after a young girl next…”
Fenris narrowed his eyes at Louis while hiding his tail from view. “... Brute. Pervert.”
“Man, I’m never gonna live that one down, huh…?” Louis drooped his head and sighed, only to snap right back up after realizing, “Wait-- you were making Lily dress up too, Gen! Why are you acting innocent?!”
She knocked on her head and stuck out her tongue. “Tehepero?”
Lacking the expressiveness to properly deliver that joke, Gen ended up just standing there awkwardly while the others stared blankly at her.

Gen immediately put both of her hands on his shoulders.
“I’m sorry. I’ll stop teasing you. So, please—forget about that.”
“... Well then, let's head to the guild.” Louis spun around and immediately started speedwalking.
“Y-you aren't just ignoring me, right? You’re going to forget about it, right? H-hey, wait--"
Louis just snickered while he fled, enjoying the sight of an unusually flustered Gen.
