Chapter 381: Bo Hancheng Threatens Mu Nianqing to Protect Zheng

Soon, she realized that she was showing her emotions, and had no choice but to force herself to suppress them.

She then added, “I may be kind, but it doesn’t mean… I’m a pushover! Sorry, Mr. Bo, I can’t agree to your suggestion…”

Silence suddenly filled the air and Bo Hancheng glanced at Mu Nianqing, seemingly thinking about it.

All of a sudden, he leaned over and got closer to Mu Nianqing who was lying on the bed.

Mu Nianqing was suddenly shocked and she could not help but hold her breath. She watched as his handsome face expanded in front of her.

At the next moment, Bo Hancheng stretched his hand out and while she was feeling nervous and anticipating something, he took away the… glass of water.

“You don’t agree?”

Bo Hancheng asked calmly while darkness began to spread in the surroundings.

After all, Mu Nianqing had never seen such a side to him and hence, she could not help but feel a little daunted. She said insistingly, “Yes, I don’t agree…”

Before she could finish speaking,

Bang!

She was caught off guard by Bo Hancheng who crushed the glass of water in his hand, causing the shards to remain in his palm.

Soon, the broken porcelain cut through Bo Hancheng’s palm and his blood mixed with the remaining water in the glass. The bloodied water then trickled down his fingers and landed on the snowy white blanket, staining it red.

“Mr. Bo, your hand…”

“If, you don’t agree, you will… end up like this glass!”

Mu Nianqing snapped back to reality and tried to show some concern for his bleeding hand.

To her surprise, Bo Hancheng said those words hurriedly. Her pupils constricted and her body began to shiver.

Feeling suffocated, Mu Nianqing looked up at his icy cold eyes in a disheveled manner. “Mr. Bo, what do you mean?”

Bo Hancheng sat up quietly and wiped his palm with some tissue paper. “You either agree and live, or refuse, and die. You are a smart girl. You understand what I mean, don’t you?”

She could either agree to his suggestion and accept the apology from the substitute to finish the act, or turn him down and refuse to accept the apology from the substitute.

If she chose the latter, she would end up in a state that was even worse than Luo Zheng. She might even… end up losing her life!

After all, Mu Nianqing was obsessed with Bo Hancheng, and understood his temperament. She was well aware that he wasn’t joking.

He actually wanted to kill me because of Luo Zheng? If that’s what he means, I’d rather be stupid. At least, I can pretend I don’t understand the cruel truth!

“Mr. Bo, you’re being partial to Luo Zheng and that’s so unfair to me! Luo Zheng hurt me so badly and all I’m asking for is an apology. How am I going overboard? Why should I be treated in such a manner… ”

Mu Nianqing asked in a hoarse voice. This time, she wasn’t entirely acting and her intentions were mostly genuine. She was filled with resentment, indignation and anger.

“There is nothing fair in this world.”

Bo Hancheng did not answer her and simply said those words.

If there was a reason, it must be because… between the two of them, Luo Zheng was the only one he cared about.

Humans are all selfish and there is nothing wrong with caring about the people we want to care about.

Indeed, Luo Zheng owed her an apology.

However, if Luo Zheng was forced to apologize and wished she was dead, he would not allow it!

“Chu Ci will arrange for the stand-in and the media to see you tonight. Just fully cooperate.”

Bo Hancheng said calmly and walked towards the door of the ward.

Before he left, he glanced at Mu Nianqing again and warned, “Since you know my identity, you should know the way I usually handle things! If you do well, you will live. If you don’t, you will die!”

He then left without looking back at all.
