Astringe of hope came when I saw that the gloves didn't vanish. But life always proved me wrong. As I was lost in thought, the Blue Lurker stood up and mumbled a few words that I couldn't understand. It took me a while before I realized. it was laughing...
"Lurak! Lurak! Lurak! Lurak! Lurak! Lurak! Lurak! Lurak!"
I felt a chill running down through my spine after hearing the Blue Luker's laugh. Its aura became a lot stronger as a grin came out of its mouth. Its muscles became a lot bulkier and a horn appeared on its forehead. How could I not know its meaning... This... This was my end.
The Blue Lurker started charging towards me at an even faster speed than before, pulverizing everything in its wake. Seeing this, I closed my eyes as I tightened the gloves in both hands. Thinking to my self... This should be the last moments of my life. How can I make it dull? I took a stance leaning towards the direction of the Lurker, my spine slightly bent and my legs spreading outwards. This is it. All the joy... The pain... The sorrow... all of it will come to an end.
Too bad I wasn't lucky enough to find a good ending. What if all of this didn't happen... I wonder where would I be right now? Would I be married by now? With kids? I hope I can marry a beautiful wife in my next life. Oh, and I want to travel the world too! I should learn how to cook. Maybe I can cook for my wife in my next life... Too bad it's all over now. I wonder if Edizon and Isabella would end up together again? Alice...
Many thoughts surged through me as the Lurker and I charged towards each other. 'My life should be interesting enough right?' I thought to myself as I engaged with a head-on battle with the Blue Lurker. And as expected... I wasn't even a match for it. The Blue Lurker's moves were much more agile and accurate than before, directly crushing some of my organs and slowly bleeding me to death. It kept ignoring my attacks and continued tearing away through my chest and even removing a rib in the process... After a few rounds, I was already lying on the ground. The Blue Lurker screamed at my face before turning around and leaving. Heh. Looks like this fellow still wants to play with its food. Too bad I would probably be dead by the time he comes back.
I just wanted to live a happy and exciting life. Who knew that it would come to this... Maybe sometimes it's better to be a frog in the well. Who would've thought that the outside world is so painful...
I looked at the ceiling as if I can see the sky. I don't even feel any pain. It was though I was empty and full at the same time. At first, I only felt sadness and grief, then came the regret. 'I didn't even have a chance.' Tears fell down my face as I bit my lips until it bled. I started hearing voices as my vision became blurry... I don't even know what's real anymore.
