Chapter 108

In reality, when Jiheon mentioned, “If we’re dating, it won’t be much different from before. Because we’re already doing everything lovers do anyway,” he genuinely believed it.

However, to his surprise, quite a lot had changed.

One noticeable change was Jaekyung’s attitude.

In the past, he would often seize any opportunity to use their deal as an excuse to insist, saying things like, “You have to do it no matter what, hyung, even if you don’t like it. That’s our deal.” However, since they officially became a couple, he had never done anything like that.

As he had promised, if Jiheon said he didn’t like it, Jaekyung would never force him, even though he might look disappointed.

Furthermore, Jaekyung listened to Jiheon better than before and agreed to whatever Jiheon told him to, especially when the words “lover” or “boyfriend” were used.

In the end, Jiheon was able to solve a problem that had been bothering him for the past few months using this method.

‘But Jaekyung, why do you keep calling Minwoo Minho?’

He had kept waiting, but he decided to bring it up one day. As expected, Jaekyung gave a reason that didn’t even seem like a reason.

‘At first, I really thought it was Minho, so I called him that. But then I got used to that name.’

‘Then call him Minwoo properly from now on.’

When Jiheon told him that he would get used to it soon, Jaekyung frowned.

‘Why should I? Minho hyung wouldn’t care anyway.’

‘You really think Minwoo wouldn’t care? It doesn’t look good to others. People might think you’re calling him that because you can’t even remember the name of the manager you’ve been with for several months.’

‘Oh, I don’t care what they think. Let them be. If they say something, I can just say I call him that because we’re close.’

‘Really? Is that something like a nickname? You give Minwoo a nickname, but not your lover?’

‘……Fine. I will call him Minwoo hyung.’

As this happened several times, Jaekyung must have started to think something was wrong, and he spoke to Jiheon in the car on the way home.

‘Hyung, you didn’t date me just for this, did you? Like your child has changed, so you’re going to take pictures of him or stuff. Right?’

While Jaekyung said jokingly, his tone and expression indicated otherwise.

So Jiheon immediately parked the car in a quiet place and did something to Jaekyung that he would never do to his child. After that, Jaekyung never said such a thing again.

In that sense, it wasn’t just Jaekyung who changed. Jiheon had to admit that many things had changed since they officially started dating. To be more specific, Jiheon himself had become bolder and more outspoken than before. He acknowledged that he had even broken his iron rule of never doing anything in the (company) car or something like that.

The reason his attitude changed was, of course, because there was a change in his heart. Surprisingly, he found himself liking Jaekyung even more than before they officially started dating. This fascinated Jiheon. Despite already believing he liked Jaekyung more than anything, he discovered that his feelings continued to deepen with each passing day.

The two of them naturally continued to have a physical relationship since they couldn’t control their feelings at all. In the past, Jiheon was able to somehow restrain himself by thinking that penetrative sex was only limited on the weekends and they weren’t dating, but now, that wasn’t the case, so why bother? They were literally out of control.

As they kissed, Jiheon wanted to hug him, and as soon as they hugged, he felt like he wanted to accept Jaekyung as quickly as possible.

It was different from the sexual desires he had felt many times before. He was filled with the desire to have Jaekyung’s everything, not just a simple union of their crotches. It wasn’t enough to just open part of his body to accept his cock. He literally wanted them to become one.

Now, there was no longer distinction between weekdays and weekends, so whenever they came home from work, they naturally hugged and kissed each other and took off their clothes first.

In the past, Jaekyung was clearly the one who would hug and touch him after he came out of the shower, which was why he deliberately took his time there.

But now, he couldn’t stand the wait and even led Jaekyung to the bathroom, asking him to shower together. Jaekyung had already finished training and taken a shower—he even showered twice a day—but he never once refused when Jiheon asked him to join him.

Well, what Jiheon meant was that they should shower together, but he also meant they should do it while showering.

There were more factors encouraging this physical intimacy too. It was a side effect of the suppressants.

Whether it was a problem or not, the ‘unexpected change’ didn’t necessarily lead to positive outcomes. Even in the negative direction, the change was quick. Perhaps due to a high dosage, the suppressant’s side effects appeared faster and more severely than expected.

Usually, Jiheon’s mood would fluctuate for about 10 days, and then his physical condition would gradually worsen. But this time, they both started at the same time.

He felt as if he were running on a horse, and his condition was so inconsistent. Not only did he have a headache and stomachache, but the nausea was so severe that he was afraid to eat anything for a few days. He knew that even if he ate a lot, he’d end up throwing it all up.

When he took the prescribed medicine, his stomach would calm down briefly, but it didn’t last. He’d rather throw up; it made him feel better. After throwing up, he rarely felt sick until he ate again.

Even though he suffered from side effects all day long, everything felt alright when he saw Jaekyung. He felt like he could hold on a bit longer.

Instead, he wanted to reach him more. He wanted to be connected to him more deeply. He decided to endure the pain for this, with a mindset that he could at least do this much.

Even when he tried to just hold his hand, he ended up kissing him again, and when he tried to just kiss him, he found himself touching and stroking him one more time.

Ironically, the worse his physical condition was, the more at ease he felt. In any case, the fact that he experienced side effects meant that the suppressant was at an excessive dose, not suitable for his body. This meant no pheromones were secreted, and Jaekyung would not react to his pheromones or show any abnormal condition.

In fact, as soon as Jiheon increased the suppressant dosage, Jaekyung’s lactate level went back to normal and stayed under 2 mmol/L ever since.

With his condition improving, his stroke count and speed naturally got better, and Oliver could finally create a training menu based on Jaekyung’s normal condition.

And exactly on the sixth day of this new training menu, Jaekyung swam the 400m medley in 4:05.22, just a bit short of Noah’s Pan-Pacific gold medal time of 4:05.18.

“Great. 1.5 seconds more for the Olympics.”

Oliver said something unbelievable in a casual manner. The world record for the men’s 400m medley was 4:03.84, so cutting 1.5 seconds would mean breaking that record.

“2 seconds.”

Kwon Jaekyung went one step further.

After learning that Jaekyung’s training was going smoothly, Inyeop quickly proposed an extra filming date in the second week of December. He seemed hopeful that Jiheon could capture some entertaining scenes this time, given the previous unusable footage.

However, Jiheon repeatedly said “as planned,” and eventually Inyeop had to shoot only scenes of Jaekyung training.

“Haah, I can see it already. Comments like ‘no fun,’ ‘fucking boring,’ and ‘that loser of a PD doesn’t put in any effort filming Kwon Jaekyung.’”

“Why? I’ve heard swimming is the most fun for a fit athlete. I think the viewership ratings will be great.”

At Jiheon’s words, Inyeop rushed toward him as if he had waited.

“Oh yeah? Let’s film you swimming then. The whole thing about you having a tattoo on your back is a lie anyway.”

Jiheon flinched inwardly, but he pretended to remain calm and said:

“Who says it’s a lie?”

“I know when I see it, man. Are you the kind of guy who would do something like that?”

‘Oh, as expected.’

Jiheon thought inwardly. He’d noticed this about Inyeop back in college. Besides his thoughtless and casual remarks, Inyeop was keen at picking up on things and assessing situations. That was probably why he became a PD for an observational variety show.

Jiheon asked:

“Then you could just tell me back then. Why are you doing this now?”

“Hey, Kwon Jaekyung made it pretty obvious that he didn’t like it when I asked you to go shirtless. He even lied about it. What’s the point of insisting on it? You think I want to film Kwon Jaekyung’s face like he was chewing dirt?”

Inyeop said this, but in truth, Jaekyung was in a great condition right now. He didn’t know why, but that guy seemed to be in a really good mood, so he wanted to film him.

“Or at least let’s film you swimming in a full-body swimsuit.”

Inyeop said it like he was pleading.

Since Jiheon was also responsible for not being able to use all the footage they had filmed last time, he wanted to accommodate the request as much as possible, but unfortunately, he wasn’t feeling well.

He had taken prescribed medication in advance to avoid disrupting the filming. While he wasn’t nauseous, he felt heavy and drowsy from the sedation. Swimming in this condition would only end with him drowning. He could almost hear the comments cursing a former national team member for drowning.

“No, just be content with what you’ve filmed so far, sunbae.”

“Darn it!”

Inyeop stomped his feet in frustration.

“Hey, but seriously, at this rate, it’s just gonna be an Olympic documentary!”

“Isn’t it the PD’s job to make it fun through editing and direction? Do your best, sunbae.”

When Jiheon said this, Inyeop shot him a glare as if he wanted to kill him. Suddenly, he stood up and declared:

“Okay. Fine. I can do anything within my abilities, right? If I manage to convince Kwon Jaekyung to do more, it’s purely my ability. So don’t complain later, okay?”

Inyeop raised his voice, exuding confidence, but Jiheon knew he didn’t need to be that confident. It was as if he was saying, “If I win the lottery, I won’t share you a dime.”

In other words, it showed he was holding on to unrealistic hopes.

So Jiheon replied as generously as possible.

“Oh, of course.”

‘Go ahead, try to convince him. He’ll just pretend to listen.’

Jiheon almost said it but decided to hold back.

Even if he didn’t say it, soon enough, Inyeop would realize it with his whole being.
