'Agility Booster Activate.' I shouted in my mind and felt a 150% increase in my speed in an instant making me far faster than even the 3rd tier abnormals. I slashed at the 3rd tier abnormal who had it's back toward me and felt the blade cleave through half of it's body before it got stuck in it.
The surprise attack was mildly successful and I was able to kill one of the 3rd tier abnormal but I had not expected my sharp blade to get stuck in it's body. In hindsight, if even bullets are not able to penetrate it's skull, then it only goes to show how superior a 3rd tier weapon is.
'Well shit.' I shouted in my mind as both of the 3rd tier abnormals and mutant beast now looked in my direction and I could see a mild surprise and shock in both their faces. A short moment passed like that before finally they came back to their senses and then both jumped at me.
I pulled the sword stuck in the body but instead of the sword, the whole 3rd abnormal carcass came along with it and shielded my body from the attacks.
The large body hit me on the face and I stumbled a bit before I caught myself and saw the two charging at me viciously.
The huge boost in speed however was more than enough for me to remain unharmed as I took out the sword from the corpse and dodged to the side.
I looked around and realized that the fight between the low tier abnormals and mutant beasts was coming to an end and that Jasvinder and Upma had also joined in the battle.
I composed myself and charged at the severely exhausted and wounded 3rd tier abnormal and mutant beast.

"That was the last of them." Upma said as she took out the crystal from one of the many corpses that covered the ground in the forest.
"You sure about that?" I asked as I looked around and used the night vision to make sure that we had taken out the cores and crystals from all of the corpses.
Indeed, there were a few corpses whose heads were still intact, which meant that we had not taken out the crystal or core from within. But the fact that there were literally hundreds of corpses lying around made the point a bit mute.
"It matters not." Jasvinder said as he put his ears to the ground and I wondered if he was capable of reading my mind or not. "They're coming."
He then stood up and looked at Upma who nodded at him. I could see that they were communicating with their eyes and wondered what they were talking about.
'Should I be cautious?' I thought. It was indeed in the realm of possibility that they try to attack me. After all, hundreds of crystals and cores was an enticing reward. If they could kill me take it from me, then that would be very beneficial for them.
I felt a bit sad about thinking such thoughts. After all, it's possible that they were good people and I was merely slandering them in my mind. But I would rather be cautious for no reason than to remain ignorant and get taken advantage of.
After what seemed like a long and tense moment (in which I pretended to look out for other enemies) Upma and Jasvinder finally came to some kind of agreement and I could see Jasvinder slump his shoulder under Upma's stern gaze.
"We need to leave." Upma said as she looked at me and I nodded in assent with a bit of respect toward her. By this time, I could hear the howls and shrieks of mutant beasts who were coming in this direction and I did not wanted to be here when they came.

"2563 white coins. 40% of the total loot. Here." Upma said as she gave me my share of the white coins we gained after selling the 1st tier crystals and mutant beast cores.
It was much more than I had expected. And I still had a lot of 2nd tier crystals and one 3rd tier one. I was rich once again. But with great power comes great responsibility something something.
I could either use these white coins to increase my wealth to 10,000 white coins and then Big bro would buy something awesome for me. Or I could buy 2nd tier crystals with it and increase my stats.
After some thinking, I made the decision to use the wealth I had gained and buy as many crystals as I could to increase my stats.
If I become powerful, then earning more white coins would be easier later on.
So after some deliberation, I gave all of my wealth to Lily and asked her to buy as many 2nd tier crystals as possible by tomorrow morning as we went to search for a shelter where we could take rest in rest of the night.

By the morning Lily had bought me 64 2nd tier crystals with the white coins and I realized that the value of 2nd tier crystals had deflated a bit in the market.
I use all the crystals I had to to increase increase my Agility to 8.0 after which I took my Perception to 8.0 as well. Last but not the least, I used the remaining 2nd tier crystals to increase my Mana till 6.2
After enhancing my stats, I checked the interface once again and was rather glad with the result.
