Chapter 118: Deceiving Uncle Sheng (15)

“Come in, come in.” Ning Cheng was the first to extend his head and take a look.

Sheng Zhiyu gave him a helpless look.

“You are annoying. Please show a little restraint.”

The door opened, and a young girl in a light green strapless dress came in with her head cowered and hands holding a guqin. On such a cold day, she wore little, only a layer of soft linen transparent enough to clearly show her delicate arms. Her soft hair was worn in a simple and pleasant bun, hanging around the neck and covering the mark on her clavicle.

The private room was separated by a screen. Shu Nuan sat down behind it. A person from inside ordered a tune. Shu Nuan placed the guqin on the table and fiddled with the strings, playing with her eyebrows down.

But after playing for a while, a person walked in like a drunk and muttered, “I hate the arrangement of the Moon Pavilion. Every time I have to do the job myself.

With a crash, the screen was pushed aside with a hand.

Ning Cheng wanted to have a drink with the guqin girl. But when he looked up to the familiar and beautiful face, the clear and meaningful eyes, he was stunned foolish.

The music of the guqin came to an abrupt end.

Shu Nuan saw Ning Cheng Yuan first, and then the other people.

There was Sheng Qianmo, Ji Xili, and others …

This was the first time she’d seen Sheng Qianmo since leaving the palace that day, and it was in this situation.

Su Huang noticed that after the screen was opened, not only did Nincheng’s expression changed, but even Sheng Zhiyu and Ji Xili looked strange. Only Sheng Qianmo was cold, taking a sip of wine, as though indifferent to Shu Nuan’s presence.

Ning Cheng coughed and looked back at Sheng Qianmo. He wondered whether to ask Shu Nuan if she’d like to sit down, but when he looked into  Sheng Qianmo’s indifferent eyes, he couldn’t find any words to say.

Ning Cheng was embarrassed to death. He’d wanted to take liberties on a beauty, but he’d almost moved on Sheng Qianmo’s girl. It had been by mistake, but no longer.

He walked back and sat down with a wry smile. He didn’t know what to say at the moment and had to drink with him.

At that moment, Shu Nuan looked down and continued playing the guqin. She plucked the strings with familiarity and grace: not like a courtesan girl, but like a noble lady.

Su Huang could see the cold temperament of the little girl, and the changes in the expressions of everyone around him. He was almost certain that the guqin girl in front of him was the previous darling of Sheng Qianmo, but he hadn’t expected this darling to fall into the Moon Pavilion as a guqin girl.

Working here was not safe …

If you met a person like Ning Cheng, you would be forced to eat tofu. That was a good deal. After all, Ning Cheng Yuan would not force others like a brutal man.

Therefore, since Shu Nuan appeared in a place like the Moon Pavilion as a guqin girl, and being the girl who’d accompanied Sheng Qianmo before, it was conceivable that Sheng Qianmo wouldn’t be happy being here.

Su Huang didn’t want to spoil the mood, so he sent her away.

“You leave first.”

Shu Nuan bowed her head and gave a whisper of a response. She picked up the guqin and went out.

Shu Nuan was standing outside. Looking back at the door for a moment, she lowered her eyes again, but before she could adjust her mood, she was called to another room by the boss.
