He wouldn’t force her to quit her job. He only asked her to move back.
Shu Nuan didn’t flinch. The corners of her mouth curved upward.
How could a person with an appearance fierce enough to frighten her compromise with her like this?
She lowered his brows and turned her beautiful eyes toward him. She asked, “Your Highness, I can cook a lot of delicious food now. Should I make them for you tomorrow night?”
The meaning was obvious, so Sheng Qianmo looked relieved. “Very well.”
At that time, Shu Nuan felt that this person was easily angered… but also easily coaxed.

The little girl groaned with pain, and her delicate nose wrinkled. Sheng Qianmo released his grip as soon as he realised what he was doing and looked toward her. The back of her hand had red marks. He held her hand and gently rubbed the back of it. He didn’t even see when Shu Nuan opened her eyes. She stared at him with mist in her eyes, as though she’d suffered enough injustice to bring her to tears.
“Why were you pinching me…”
“…When did you wake up?”
Shu Nuan raised her hand and rubbed her eyes, which hadn’t opened fully. Feeling aggrieved, Sheng Qianmo stared into her face for a while.
“…” He couldn’t tell if she’d fallen asleep again or not…
Knowing that she was asleep again, he took her small hand into his embrace and kissed it. He put the little thing into his arms and fell asleep.
