As Mi Rong opened her crystal clear eyes, her soul felt so heartbroken.

However, the next moment, her eyes squinted ever so slightly. Something had caught her eyes from behind Li Ye. In the great tree behind Li Ye, something was shining; it was a small golden light carved on the old bark of the tree.

A few small letters were written on the tree bark, but it was just big enough for Mi Rong read it. The golden characters that were written on the tree had shone for a brief moment before disappearing as if it had never been there.

It wrote...

"The map is inside your heart"

What did it mean?

Nevertheless, Mi Rong could feel her world tilting forward. She was slowly falling forward in slow motion.

Meanwhile, Li Ye smiled devilishly.

Let's rule hell together…

One of his hand beside his body began surging a great bright light within his palm. The surrounding trees and grass began to swirl around as Li Ye summoned the power in his palm. It was pure energy, hence, all the natural resources were slowly being sucked away.

This had caused an unbalance in the nature around them, which in result had caused cracks on the invisible barrier. More and more cracks began to become visible as Li Ye summoned his power.

Not long, the power in his palm was like a white ball that was growing bigger and bigger. Slowly, he aimed the power towards the lady in front.

"Sorry Feng Feng, it'll hurt a little, but we'll be together after this." He spoke soothingly as he began to raise his hand up towards Mi Rong.

Outside, Xiao Bai's eyes grew wide. Seeing Mi Rong in danger, he became even more agitated. The chains tying him down began shattering as the great snow wolf tugged and tugged on it.

On the other hand, Mi Rong's mind snapped back almost immediately, "I am not Feng Feng." She reminded acidly.

Despite being able to talk, her body was still uncontrollable even to herself. Li Ye, this guy, he must have done something to her!

Though her body was resisting her thoughts, she was slowly able to reach out for the whip that was on her side.

Meanwhile, Li Ye watched the lady struggle in front of him. Heaven's chosen one? Hmph! They should have found someone stronger, not weak like this. However, they had chosen someone tricky indeed. One of his weakness was this similar face that belonged to someone else in his memories.

Oh, how he longed for her...

Not long, Feng Feng, we will be together again…

He smiled with satisfaction to his own thoughts.

"Goodbye, Mi Rong." He spoke softly, before thrusting the full force of his power directly towards the small figure in front of him. "Back to where you belong…"

The entire area whitened as Li Ye's power had fallen on a target. Raging sounds of thunder were heard just above area and the sky immediately grew cloudier and darker. It was as if the entire sky above was evoked in anger and strong tides of wind began blowing around the area making it difficult to hear anything but the sound of the angry winds.

The invisible barrier was no longer there. It had shattered along with the surging power. The trees and the grass were dimly swaying with the fury wind. The colours of the green grass and the flowers were all lost. It was deathly grey.

Where Mi Rong had stood, a great big light shone on her spot from the sky. It was so bright that Li Ye had to cover his eyes. No matter how hard he tried to open his eyes, he had to quickly shut them for the light was burning through his eyelids.

It was as if the heavens had shone their spotlight directly on where Mi Rong stood.

Within that burning light…

Mi Rong was kneeling down on her knees.

In her arms, there was a big white creature huddled close to her.

Inside the spotlight everything was calm. The sound of the strong surging wind did not seep inside. There was no other sound but Mi Rong's sobbing.

"Why? Xiao Bai, why?" She did not keep her sorrow in and cried it all out.

On the other hand, Xiao Bai smiled. All the weariness from all the years he had been on this earth became more visible as his soul was seeping away. He had taken this task to take care of all of the Heaven's chosen one for so long that he almost forgot the first candidate.

"...Mi Rong" Xiao Bai's soft voice called out.

Mi Rong's cries grew softer almost immediately as she wanted to hear Xiao Bai's fragile voice.

"Everything will be alright. This is not the last time we will meet. Have you forgotten what I had told you where all the majestic beast went when they die?" Xiao Bai's teaching voice rang inside Mi Rong's head.

"...Heaven." Mi Rong replied even softer.

"That is right. You are Heaven's chosen one, so there, we shall meet again."

There was no other response from her this time.

Nevertheless, Xiao Bai continued, "It has been my pleasure taking care of you, though I wished I could help you more, but I did not want to spoil you."

"No no, Xiao Bai…"

"It is alright. Remember who you are Mi Rong. You are not just Heaven's chosen one, your worth is more than that. The map and the mission have always been inside you, inside your heart, cough cough." The light in Xiao Bai's blue eyes dimmed.

"Stop speaking and stay still. I will treat your wounds." Mi Rong instructed.

"It is too late for me, but still not too late for you. Finish this Mi Rong. Finish this and go home. You have come so far and put so much into this, don't give up yet." Xiao Bai's warm voice rang in her head, but it did not warm her cold heart.

"I'm so sorry Xiao Bai." Mi Rong blamed herself.

"Cough Cough. No, don't be." His eyes became sleepy and were slowly closing, but the great snow wolf resisted and reopened his eyes again, "Ah, so this was your third heartbreak, but it was still my pleasure to have fought beside you. So long my friend, until the next time…"

Slowly, the white fluffy wolf in Mi Rong's arms began to evaporate. Beginning from his legs moving up to his head until there was no more. Dust began forming around her, however, it was no ordinary dust, but stardust.

The stardust began swirling around Mi Rong's figure, before it drifted higher above to where it belonged, in the sky.

Xiao Bai...
