Right now, the girl he fought a moment ago, was pulled in his arm, with Shane stabbing into her back.

However, from the outside, it practically looked like he was embracing her firmly, even if he didn't do so.

Sheathing his dagger, he carefully pushed her away from his embrace, before returning her red gleaming spear back, which he had ripped out of her hand before.

It was only now that he was truly looking at her, taking in her appearance which he had disregarded before because it was something entirely unnecessary for their fight.

This was something he learned from his Aunt to prevent any kind of distraction.

The girl in front of him was tall for her age with a height of over 1.7 meters.

She had a slender figure, pretty facial features and brown hair and eyes, with an extremely faint purple tinge, that looked like a vibrant electric current.

In the end, this was Shane's longest fight. He had to acknowledge that the girl would have probably won, if she had been more proficient in fighting against humans or others in a life and death battle, because of her weapon advantage.

However, Shane's high combat experience and change towards a defensive tactic caused him to win, which was everything that counted for now.

Turning around, he was about to go back, when he heard a quiet, feminine, yet somewhat angered voice behind him ask.

"Hey! What's your name?"

Halting his steps, he tilted his head, before he turned around, saying "Shouldn't you introduce yourself first?"

Shane waited patiently for her to reply, as the girl in front of him gritted her teeth

"Melanie Neal!... Now it's your turn!!"

Smiling lightly, he replied "Shane Suro", before he walked out of the combat arena they were still in, towards the teachers in order to check if he could leave.

He completely disregarded the weird gazes everyone threw towards him and at the same time ignored Melanie's existence as if nothing that happened a moment ago had anything to do with him.

Suddenly, Shane noticed the teachers rushing towards him, as they began to introduce themselves while praising his combat prowess to the extreme, which was uncomfortable and a bit awkward for him.

However, they continued and he was not even able to ask if he was allowed to leave.

Sighing, the two teachers that monitored the whole mortal ranking seemed to start quarreling amongst each other, fighting for his attention. They both asked in unison if he was interested to attend their combat lecture classes.

'So they just wanted to lure me over?' Shane had to suppress a chuckle because he couldn't really understand the reason for them trying to impress him with big praises, only that he might enter their combat lectures.

If he remembered correctly there was no apparent reason to do so, but looking at the desperate gazes of the two teachers in front of him, he seemed to miss some facts.

"I'm sorry Sirs, but I have to decline your offers for now. I have yet to figure out what lectures I want to attend"

Bowing slightly in order to show the teachers his respect, he excused himself, as it was already late, and he felt extremely tired because he hadn't slept well over the last few days, even if the long duration within the refining capsules felt as if only half an hour passed.

Considering that he refined his body while being in a hibernating state, Shane could only praise whoever purchased the refining capsules as they were worth every single bronze coin.

At least that was his opinion, and after declining his teachers' offer politely, he pondered if he should just enter the refining capsules in order to achieve his perfect physique when a feeling of sudden exhaustion and tiredness overwhelmed him.

'I'm still not at the stage where I can neglect my sleep for too long….Well, five days was already a pretty long duration to survive without showing any signs of a deficit, even after arduous refinement of my body and absorbing mana!'

Entering the dorm, he saw Aimy and Olivia. Both of them seemed to have sustained a few bruises.

Comparing himself to the two girls, Shane knew that his combat prowess was much higher at his current stage because he didn't even have to use his killing intent in order to win against Melanie.

If he would have used his killing intent at the final fight, he was sure that the whole fight would have ended in a dull match, because releasing his killing intent suddenly would be similar to a surprise mental attack, which would indulge fear and other emotions, causing his opponents to mentally falter.

However, it would be weird for someone who entered the Primordial Dimensions to have such a thick and complex killing intent, which was the reason for him to not use it, as he wanted to play fair and just for the first combat ranking.

It would be something different, if there was a student similar to him at the mortal stage, who was as proficient in his combat techniques as Shane, owing to either a better education received at school, at home or maybe even a high ambition.

He spoke to the two girls briefly but didn't reveal his victory in his mortal ranking, because they hadn't asked him yet, while they updated that their tournament at the Expert stage was still ongoing.

Apparently, both had won their first round, only to be thrown out by Experts with a higher mana purity in the latter K.O rounds, which was bound to happen.

It would be weird if someone at the peak of the Expert stage in both body refining and cultivation with a mana purity of at least 60% would lose to someone at the 5th Expert stage with a mana purity of around 45%.

Even if it was possible, considering everyone's average strength, Shane still didn't find any prodigies.

The reason for this was most likely because he simply didn't search for any, but Melanie and the muscular youth with double battle axes were already interesting opponents in his eyes.

Inside his dorm room, he noticed that the other three were already sleeping, and seeing their bruises, Shane could conclude that they were hardly beaten up.

Exhausted, he could barely take off his shoes and combat suit, before he fell on his soft bed.

He fell in a deep slumber, oblivious to the loud snoring of his roommates, who were all now blissfully asleep.

**

Shane felt as if he had slept for an eternity, as he opened his weary eyes, only to glance at the timer on the system's holographic screen he summoned.

Still drowsy, he thought 'It's already so late, huh?', before he slowly gathered his energy, in order to get out of the bed.

Standing up, he noticed that Lars, the small blond-haired youth was still sleeping, while Uir and Paul were talking to each other.

Noticing that Shane was up, they immediately approached him with a sly smile and deceitful eyes, causing goosebumps to erupt all over his body..

"Hey buddy, where have you been during the last few nights? Did you have multiple meetings back to back?" Uir asked before Paul added

"Or did you check out multiple girls in order to figure out who's the best?"

Hearing this, Shane frowned deeply, and stepped back, only to bump into the bunk bed, as he said

"I was just in the tranquil forest and refining capsules…." Before he burst out "Why are you two even immediately concluding that I'm a playboy or something like that?!?"

To this, Uir just murmured

"We know your rankings, and there are more than enough rumors about you flirting with girls all the time…."

Paul, the tall brown-haired youth who had been eavesdropping, suddenly summoned the system in order to project a picture that showed Shane holding Melanie in his arms.

"And what is that?!"

The picture made it look like he was embracing Melanie, and he could only apologize to her inwardly because their tight combat suits were less helpful to clear the misunderstanding.

Shane tried his best to clear the misunderstanding by telling his roommates what had actually happened, but they were still suspicious. It was not like he had committed a murder, so why should he bother if they believed him or not? That thought seemed to pacify him, at least for now!

Walking out of the dorm room, he headed towards the common bathroom, brushed his teeth, and washed up, before changing into a loose set of clothes.

It was unnecessary to put on a nice set of clothes, and he was already wearing trunks. It was now his time to shine and complete his perfect mortal physique.

While walking towards the education building complexes where the refining capsules were situated, Shane took a look at all concluded rankings, with a radiant smile, as he mumbled

'Will this be enough for a whole day?'

Not knowing the exact rewards for everything, Shane could only shake his head, as he took a look at the [Wealth] ranking. He saw a few students with several hundred gold coins that had applied for the ranking, though none of them possessed more than 1000 gold coins.

This told him that some students were still holding back because it was unlikely that nobody out of 200,000 students was able to earn more than 1000 gold coins during the last month.

Ignoring the students around him, he applied to the [Wealth] ranking with his whole fortune that he had earned over the last month.

His name was immediately ranked on the number 1 spot, with a big golden hue that enveloped his name and the number behind his name [7857 gold coins!] caused him to smile lightly.

The fortune of 7857 gold coins included his earnings from the elemental crystal cave and sale of Aqueous potions, causing his smile to widen, as he finally entered the room holding the refining capsules.

He didn't waste any time, and immediately took off his clothes,, and inserted the last 15 [Tier-1 (Trash)] mana stones and 2 [Tier-1 (Trash)] nutrition solutions into the refining capsule next to him, before entering it.

The whole process was activated after Shane paid 30 silver coins, and he closed his eyes to prepare for his final breakthrough.

**

Five hours later, he opened his eyes, because the supplied nutrition was completely used up, but a vibrant smile blossomed on his face. A pleasing notification rang in his mind, with a faint, almost invisible white aura, subconsciously radiating from his body.
