Chapter 417: Next time

Shane had many questions but not a single answer to any of them.

His mind was too clogged to think of an answer either way as the pain spreading through his entire body intensified with the body temperature that increased to a lethal degree.

Unaware of whether this was normal or not, Shane could only endure everything as his body was slowly expelling old cells that had been destroyed and deemed as useless to transform and repair.

Thus, his body discarded them without any hesitation.

Shane's old skin was slowly peeling off too, as the changes inside his body began to increase.

Everything about him seemed to change, but Shane was unable to perceive the direct differences due to the aches and pains that blurred his senses.

Because of that, he decided to focus on absorbing more mana instead of trying to perceive something he couldn't sense anyway.

Thus, Shane tried his best to ignore the pain within his body and closed his eyes in order to actively absorb mana from the mysterious surroundings.

He may not know where exactly he was, but Shane could tell that the place was something special.

With multiple kinds of energies amongst which he only knew mana, there should be a magnificent place hidden behind the golden-silverish hue that radiated a shocking pressure.

Shane knew that if this pressure were to weigh down on him, he would die, and that was not even exaggerated.

The vibrant hue was terrifying to look at, let alone perceiving it!

Time seemed to have slowed down as he tried to focus on absorbing the surroundings' mana, yet, Shane was unable to enter a fully focused state, let alone entering the zone but that was, fortunately, not required.

Rather, he was just absorbing the necessary energy to awaken his soul world and transform the planetary core into a soul world core.

Shane was not sure how much time had passed, but when he opened his eyes again, the first thing he did was to take a look into the soul world, or to be precise the soul world core!

The sight deep inside his conscience shocked him greatly, but Shane simply ignored it, while looking at the soul world core that had the size of a common ping-pong ball!

'So...the planetary core that had the size of a truck...changed to that?...'

Gulping down his saliva, his initial shock subsided as he sensed that there was no major problem with the size.

Rather, it seemed as if everything was working properly, and the various structures, buildings, and other objects inside the Hidden paradise were still intact.

There were all kinds of things Shane noticed, but there was one slight disadvantage!

'The amount of mana generated by the soul world is...not really that great!'

Shane knew that he wouldn't need any mana to sustain or enlarge the soul world anymore as it was bound to his own increase in strength.

However, with the plan he and his family had in mind, they required much more mana inside the soul world than what his soul world was generating!

Fortunately, this was not much of an issue, because Talia had already proposed a possible way to counter this!

Using plants or other living organisms that generate mana from nutrition, or the transmuted photosynthetic procedure of creating mana was what Talia had proposed and Shane found it to be a feasible option.

Additionally, he also had 120 Supreme tickets with which it was possible for him to procure rare mana generating plants or beasts!

Only after his train of thoughts reverted to himself did Shane realise that his body was not hurting anymore.

His blood had cooled down to reach a normal temperature while his cells were not being destroyed, metamorphosed, and repaired once again.

As such, he was able to take a deep breath and take a proper look around.

Even with the enormous amount of mana he had absorbed, there was not a single change in the dense golden-silverish hue that obstructed him from seeing what lay behind.

At the same time, the surrounding mana was still exactly the same as it was before, astonishing Shane as he had thought that his mana absorption rate was high enough to make some difference in his surroundings.

Despite that not being the case, Shane stood up in order to approach the golden-silverish hue.

Lifting his hands he touched the hue, only to retract them quickly as his eyes widened in terror.

Goosebumps sprang up all over his skin and his hands began to tremble as he looked in the direction he had sensed something extremely powerful and mighty that was directly connected to the hue around him.

Shane was not sure what exactly he had sensed, but the being had to be quite a distance away from his current position!

Despite that, he had been able to sense something about it which was not difficult owing to the massive aura it radiated even without moving.

At that moment, he received several system messages that distracted him for a moment as he threw a glance at them.

[Soul world awakening has been completed! Congratulations to the host! Due to the released hidden bloodline, |Variant| soul world has been enhanced!]

[Congratulations to the host for becoming a |Descendant of the Ancient| by awakening the hidden bloodline of the Susurros, one of the unranked races in the vast universe!]

[Innate |Taming| Skill, Variant soul world, tamed beasts, and soul bound equipment that had been manufactured by the Susurros received substantial changes that may not be recorded by the system. The system regrets the inconvenience and suggests the host study the secrets of his body for himself!]

[Information about the Susurro race is not available in the Primordial library! For now, the host is only allowed to know that the Susurro race had once been called 'Argan,' derived from the name of the world they had once belonged to. They belong to one of the multitude of races that fall under the category <Human>!]

The notifications confused him because they didn't help him in any way and only added to his increasing sense of bewilderment.

Nevertheless, Shane thought that it was a good opportunity for him to rely on himself to figure out something without the system's support.

In the future, the system would disappear and once that happened, nobody would help him figure out something about his hidden bloodline, which he assumed to lie dormant in every human on Igra!

Otherwise, it wouldn't make any sense to Shane and he predicted that they were, in fact, Agran that were able to awaken their bloodline with the requirement of owning a soul world, a taming ability, and so on.

However, this assumption turned everything even more confusing than it already was because it would mean that mankind's ancestry had once been cultivated with mana before!

Shaking his head, Shane tried to make sense of everything but it was harder than expected.

Clenching his fist, he heard a soft crunch, which shocked Shane, only to look at his old peeled skin which he had crushed.

This fact didn't ruffle him as the more interesting fact was that his strength had increased exponentially!

But, that was not everything as many things inside his body changed.

Suddenly, just as Shane wanted to figure out what kind of changes he had undergone and what new abilities he had received, the entire realm began to ripple.

The cloud-like ground trembled violently as the stable golden-silverish hue vibrated.

At that moment, he sensed that a white hue enshrouded him once again, and Shane realised that he was brought towards the being, only to hear a sonorous voice resounding in his mind.

[Shane Stella, we will meet soon. Finish everything that needs to be completed, and once you're ready to liquefy your first drop of mana, you will eventually find out the answers you're seeking...]

Shane couldn't know who was speaking to him, but he felt as if he knew the answer as he blurted out two words.

"The Creator?"

Unbeknownst to Shane, he and a few other individuals had been on the radar of the Creator of the Primordial dimensions and the system, for a very long time!

'Is he really her descendant?… just what kind of coincidence is that?...the name too...Shane... can this even be considered a coincidence or is this fate?'
