Chapter 426: King's domain

Shane didn't know if there was a profound meaning behind the word 'King' inside the Primordial dimensions.

As such, he could only use his comprehension to figure out the Three headed blazing lion's combat prowess.

However, from the first encounter of his darkness spears, Shane was already able to tell that the lion's blazing flames were searing hot and strong enough to burn through the darkness spear, decreasing its lethality drastically.

The heat around Shane was unbearable and he was smoking profusely.

At the same time, he knew that he would be smoked like tinder if the blazing flames were to envelop him.

That was. if he didn't use any mana in order to protect himself.

With his [Light steps] movement technique and the [Slaughterer's Path] technique fully utilized, Shane had to use his full concentration, in order to circulate mana through his body while releasing some of it to envelop his body.

The released bloodlust-killing-intent and mana intertwined, amplifying each other, strengthening Shane's attack power and defensive capabilities.

Because the three headed blazing lion was one of the extremely dangerous opponents he had to face, the passive ability [Warrior's Heart] that belonged to [Artemis' Blessing] was subconsciously activated, increasing Shane's blood flow towards his limbs as well as his mana circulation.

At the same time, Shane had released some of the stored mana within his soul world, allowing him to increase his strength even further.

Using two techniques at the same time, while handling an enormous amount of mana in order to envelop his body and circulate it through his mana veins was extremely straining, and obstructed him from using the affinities he wanted to test out.

In the end, this was not a major problem, but slightly dissatisfying to Shane, who always wanted to excel in whatever he did right from the get go!

While Shane had increased his combat prowess to a terrific height, the King of the Savannah didn't hold back as the crimson flames around its body began to tighten, enveloping the three headed blazing lion, whose eyes began to glow faint crimson.

If he were to describe the three headed lion in one word, it would be 'Cerberus' because everything except the lion's mane and head-shape resembled the image Shane had seen of Cerberus in his past life.

The distance between the two of them had decreased to less than 10 meters, and it would take a quarter of a second before they would encounter each other.

Yet, instead of exerting its physical strength, the King of the Savannah decided to take it slow as it was everything but foolish.

Instead of rushing towards Shane, it utilized the advantage it had by spitting out three ginormous flames, one out of each of its three heads.

Shane noticed this, and also the fact that the three flames were not all directly targeted to him.

The flames spit by the heads on the sides were slightly angled farther from his body so as to prevent him from evading them easily, which caused Shane to frown.

This simple move was already more than enough to obliterate most beasts in the Basic primordial dimensions and it was evident how strong the flames were.

Despite being several meters away from the flames, the dry grass all around the savannah was already burning, caught on fire like a haystack.

Owing to that, the surrounding had turned into a hellish environment and Shane felt that he had fallen to the pits of earth. It was only the pale blue sky that prevented Shane from thinking that the three headed blazing lion was able to transform their entire environment.

If that were truly possible, the lion would have been able to manifest a proper domain, which was something Shane didn't think was possible without a system skill.

It was simply too complex to manifest a domain, while the necessary amount of mana was ginormous.

Even if Shane had a domain skill, he would never use it because the price to be paid was not worth the result he could obtain.

This may change once his cultivation base increased, but Shane would never obtain a domain skill, and he knew that it was his responsibility to comprehend a domain for himself, in the future, without anyone intervening in what exactly he wanted to comprehend.

The system may be a supporting tool, but Shane knew that it could also alter one's comprehension, creating a technique that was tweaked as per one's requirement!

Despite that, Shane could only stare at the three headed blazing lion as the Invincible Scimitar in his hand began to gleam lightly, revealing its true might.

The flames were still shooting towards him, but instead of evading them, Shane used his entire strength to push himself towards the King of the Savannah.

This caused the ground below him to crack under the pressure while dirt and loose soil flew through the air.

At that moment, Shane shot forward, only to slash horizontally at the flame right in front of him, ignoring the searing heat that pushed towards him.

Seeing this, the three headed blazing lion's eyes shone brightly, thinking that its opponent might be strong, but was extremely foolish.

As such, it expected its flames to burn through him, so it was shocked that nothing happened to the being it fought because it was not there anymore!

When the three headed blazing lion noticed this, it was already too late because Shane had utilized the inherited ability [Space Jump] to perfectly control the spatial affinity for two seconds.

Through this, he had been able to manifest a spatial portal right above one of the lion's three heads.

Shane was still brandishing the Invincible Scimitar that was about to sever the head he was targeting, only to notice that something was off.

His speed, strength, mana, circulation speed, and so on were superior to the three headed blazing lion's, but the fire affinity the King of the Savannah had was something Shane had yet to fully understand.

When Shane noticed that something was going on, he immediately conjured another spatial portal in front of him, moving him more than ten meters away from the four-meter-tall lion.

At that moment, Shane realised that his perception had just saved his life because the temperature around the three headed blazing lion shot up by another couple of degrees celsius while the flames that enveloped the lion tightly were erupting.

This made it look like the lion's size increased to five meters, only for the crimson-colored eyes to undergo a weird change.

They turned a little darker, giving the beast an eerie look while the lion's affinity increased in strength.

At least, that was how it looked to Shane, who could only stare at the King of the Savannah with a confused expression.

'Why the hell did such a monster of a beast not participate in the Primordial tournament?'

Shane didn't know the reason, and if he were, to be honest, he could only be glad about it because he knew that achieving second rank would have been impossible with the three headed blazing lion as an opponent.

He was not sure if even Megane would have been strong enough to defeat the blazing lion without using the weird ability that devoured everything.

This was extremely shocking, but trying to control himself, he only now noticed that his mind was a little bit befuddled by the heat of the surrounding that affected him greatly.

However, that was not important right now, because Shane noticed that the crimson eyes were turning pitch-black, resembling endless darkness, while the flames turned crimson, burning everything in the radius of ten meters, forcing Shane to retreat a few steps.

The King of the Savannah may not be the strongest in terms of physical strength, but Shane knew that it deserved the title more than any other beast, just because of the metamorphosis it had undergone a moment ago.

"Is that some sort of self-made domain? And what kind of cheat-code is it using to increase its affinity's lethality?!"

Shane had no idea what kind of situation he was facing right now, but he could only grit his teeth, thinking that he may have to gear up his combat prowess!
