*UNEDITED*

Anything, huh? Sometimes Lyn wishes he wouldn't do everything for her. If Kazuya knew exactly what she has been up to However, maybe it's better if he doesn't know. If Kazuya knew the truth about her, then he most likely won't forgive her.

Lyn sighed, "Why did you agree just like that? What if I ask you to do some unreasonable things?"

"Unreasonable? Are you capable of that?"

"You already know I am. Hey, Kazuya. You believe in reincarnation don't you?"

"That depends."

Lyn muttered, "The two of us maybe connected since a long time ago."

"Don't you already know everything?"

"I looked at the ancient scripts, and I learned a lot. Kazuya…" Lyn's sentence fell short when he wrapped his arms around her. "Why, didn't you just tell me?"

"Even if I told you, it would have made no difference whatsoever."

That maybe the case. However, it means this entire time everything. All their memories, was it all a lie? Lyn was about to say something when she felt a dark presence in the air. Her eyes widened, 'Damn. So impatient.' She scanned the area and spotted a man on the rooftop.

....

It was difficult getting Kazuya to let go of her. He clearly had no intention of leaving her. Thankfully, those monsters showed up in the forest. If they didn't, then Kazuya wouldn't have left her. Lyn walked up the steps and sighed when she saw the barrier. This person is only cautious sometimes. Most of the time he acts so carelessly, and she has to save him.

A man with white hair was there waiting for her. Lyn took a deep breath, "I'm here."

He turned around, a bored expression on his face. "Where's that Kazuya guy? You should have brought him."

"Stop it, I told you that Kazuya is.."

"Hey Princess Lyn, don't forget our deal. Aren't you going against your word too much?" The man's tone is sinister. Despite the darkness, Lyn saw the smirk on his face.

"I.."

"Now that you have your freedom. It should be easy for you to do what I say. Hey," he leaned forward and slipped a piece of paper on her clothing. "Do this one today."

"I can't."

Lyn didn't have to look at the details to know what

"You can't, eh?" Lyn felt a burning sensation on her arm and flinched due to the pain. "Don't forget, the reason why you survived that day. If I didn't get you out.."

"I already know," Lyn muttered. "But, give him time. Kazuya hasn't adjusted to the Mist Kingdom yet."

"He's been here for so many months now. Is this guy capable or not?"

"You know he is. He's the only one who can do this."

"Then, make sure he proves it in two days time."

"What are you planning to do? You can't cause problems now. My sister is in charge of this town, if she catches you it's no good."

"Haha," Silver laughed. "This is no good. Are you turning soft? Do I have to train you again?"

"..."

"Tonight, I'll come with you. With you in this state, even I'm worried. Tonight's mission is very important."

"Silver, is this really going to work? What if you get caught?"

"If I get caught, there are many more people in the organization. Lyn, you agree with our values. No matter what you say, you've already become one of us. A sheltered Princess is so good at fighting? She learned by herself?" Silver laughed. "Those people have no idea what you've been up to. You're eldest brother's barrier is very easy to exploit too."

Lyn sighed, "Alright, alright. Quit it. What is this about anyway?"

"It's a simple hunt."

A hunt? In other words, those people won't be left alive. She has to kill them, to end their lives. Silver extended his hand out, and Lyn's eyes widened when she saw the item in his hands. It was a dagger infused with magic.

"Hey!" Lyn snapped. "That's illegal! Where on earth did you get this from?"

"Did you get more annoying? You speak so loudly now."

'Aren't you the annoying one?' Lyn however kept it to herself. Even though she can bicker with the man like this. She understood better than anybody, exactly how dangerous he was.

"But really, there's something I'm curious about Princess Lyn. Exactly who do you love?"

Ah?

"Don't you like that Rhys guy?"

....

A few days back Dungeon

Lyn felt awkward around him. Unlike before they seldom spoke and when they did they always got into fights. Her gaze darted towards Rhys, and examined his face. He looks more exhausted than before, she's slightly concerned.

"Besides it seems like my priorities are somewhere else now."

Priorities? Lyn was about to ask what he meant when…she saw him staring. Who is he looking at with such eyes? She looked around and saw that no one else was there but them. Wait her? Lyn flushed a bright shade of red realising that his gaze was on her. How bold and direct, she wasn't expecting such a line from him. How sneaky.

She fiddled with the strand of her locks and hid her face with them. "That really is hard to understand."

Subaru laughs in response.

Ah …his laughter. Its like how it was before, its quite mischievous.

..

Present

Yet, Lyn recalled a time where she thought the man named Rhys was a dangerous person.

He gave of such a cold, don't approach me aura and yet because Rhys is close with Kazuya. Lyn gradually started to watch him. At least that's how it was supposed to be from the beginning, from the beginning that's how it was meant to be. Yet maybe a long time before they even started going out with each other she was already in love with him. That time too, she thought she only fell in love and accepted Rhys for such a reason.

To get rid of the pain and lonrliness but that hadn't been the case. It wasn't true, and perhaps deep down back then she already knew that. Even if it hadn't been obvious at the the time.

Initially, Lyn thought she became close to Rhys because of his relation to Kazuya But it seems like that wasn't the case, he was his own person and she ... Lyn shook her head and placed her hand on her forehead. "It's not like you to speak of such pointless sounding things.
