Ar'en frowned and knelt down next to her. He reached over and grabbed her hand and held it in his. "If you were cursed, would I not have been dead a long time ago? Kana, you have only experienced misfortune due to some coincidences. I am proof that you are not cursed."

Ar'en smiled and pulled her along as he began showing her the rest of the castle. All the servants that they walked by smiled and bowed their heads in greeting. Word had spread many years ago that their king was courting his wife. And now, he was happily walking around with her hand in hand. This, of course, would spread like wildfire.
As the two walked hand in hand, Kana couldn't help but smile a little. This was the man she loved after all, and she had dreamt of holding his hand like this as well.
