Yu Qi returned to her penthouse around 8 p.m. to receive the delivery from the two stores. Yu Qi went inside her space first to cook for her contracted beasts. After eating, she went out to wait for the delivery. As they promised, they arrived at 9 p.m.
"Hello, Miss Tang, we are from Gentlemen Store and Beauty Store to deliver the suits and the dresses. Yu Qi nodded. "Come in. You can put them over there."
The two men came in bringing the clothes that had been carefully wrapped with plastic. The clothes had been handed with care. Yu Qi could see that. They were very careful with their clothes.
"Thank you." Yu Qi stated.
"The owner expressed their thank for buying the clothes from them." One of the men said.
"Hmm... thank you too." Yu Qi nodded.
The men left the penthouse. Yu Qi picked up the clothes and hung them in the closet. If she had time later, she would go and pick up some jewelry to be worn for the award ceremony. ....
The day of the award ceremony was about to arrive. It was only three days away. Long Hui still did not return from his mission. Yu Qi communicated with Shino asking if her Long Hui was feeling okay. Shino told her that Long Hui was fine. But he was very busy. She did not try to call Long Hui out of respect for his line of work. If Long Hui could not return for the award ceremony, it was okay. She would just go alone without a partner. It was better that way. It saved her from trouble. If she chose another partner, she did not know what would happen if Long Hui found out about that. He might produce a gallon of vinegar. It was hard to coax him. After work, Yu Qi went to her store, HuiQi Jade Store. There were a few customers inside the store. The saleswoman was treating everyone else. She was wearing a mask and cap. So, no one recognized her. As she rummaged around to see the jewelry, she wanted to lean over, but a saleswoman came over and pulled her over. "We don't accept beggars as a buyer." The saleswoman said proudly. "What do you say?" Yu Qi frowned. She did not expect a saleswoman like this had be accepted to work at her store. "You better leave. You can not afford it anyway." The saleswoman rolled her eyes. Yu Qi gritted her teeth feeling angry. This saleswoman should not be working at her store. "Call your manager right now. I want to see her." Yu Qi said.
Yu Qi's voice was not too soft or loud. However, everyone could hear it clearly. Two of the saleswomen looked over and managed to recognize Yu Qi. They also managed to recognize Yu Qi's voice even though Yu Qi spoke through the mask. "Call the manager? For what? Do you think he will side with you or his niece?" The saleswoman snorted.
"So, you got the job here due to your relationship. Good... Good enough..." Yu Qi narrowed her eyes. She turned to another saleswoman. "Call your manager right now!" The saleswoman who recognized Yu Qi rushed over to the back to call the manager. "No use in calling the manager. We will see." The arrogant saleswoman chuckled. The saleswoman who went to call the manager returned back with the manager. She did not tell the manager about Yu Qi's arrival. "Who dare to cause trouble at HuiQi Jade Store? Do you know who the owner was?" The manager said.
"Uncle, this person is the culprit." The arrogant saleswoman pointed her finger at Yu Qi.
"Oh... if you want to cause trouble here, you better stop and leave this store before it gets too bad." The manager said.
"Oh... I don't do anything. This woman comes out and stops me from looking at the jewelry." Yu Qi said.
"Of course, I am going to stop you. You can not afford the things inside our store. If you run away from our jewellery, it would be troublesome." The arrogant saleswoman said. "Liu Lanying, you can not accuse someone like that." The saleswoman who recognized Yu Qi stepped forward. "Am I wrong, Uncle?" Liu Lanying asked the manager.
"Hmm... You have a point." The manager said. He looked at Yu Qi. "You should leave." "Is this the way you treat your customers nowadays?" Yu Qi asked.
"Of course, we will treat you better if you have money." The manager smiled. "I see... You are fired then." Yu Qi stated.
Liu Lanying heard this and burst into laughter.
"Fired? Who are you to fire my uncle?" Liu Lanying snorted.
Yu Qi took off her hat and mask. Everyone was instantly shocked except for the ones who already recognized Yu Qi earlier. The manager felt his heart almost stopped when he saw the face. This was their big boss, the owner of this store. He started to tremble. He treated the big boss like trash earlier. Liu Lanying still acts nonchalantly. She did not know this woman. However, she instantly felt jealous when she saw Yu Qi's face. "Who do you think I still don't have the power to fire you?" Yu Qi asked the manager.
Liu Lanying wanted to say something but was stopped when she saw her uncle's action. Her uncle kneeled down to the woman in front of them. She was genuinely shocked.
