Master Roshi might believe he was treating the group to a meal of 60-80,000 Zeni. But in the story, With Goku eating enough for 50 people. The bill was 470,000 Zeni. Master Roshi was only able to pay the bill due to him winning the WMA. But this time he didn't. Not to mention he was treating two Saiyans. It was hard to imagine how he was going to afford the bill.
The whole group stared at Tarro and Goku as they swept the tables and stacked plates and bowls up to the roof. Tarro ate over 100 people's worth of meals while Goku ate around 55 people's worth of meals. Then the two of them took their time and ate another 5-10 plates of dessert.
"Luckily my family has maid droids," Bulma heaved a sigh in relief upon thinking of the maid droids at her home.
"What are you two, monsters?" Master Roshi regretted treating these two to a meal. He could already imagine the large bill.
"Well, I'll let you in on a secret to our bottomless stomach. It's not bottomless, but it's as big as when we transform into great apes." Tarro kindly explained how Saiyans could possibly eat so much. In truth, he had no idea where the food went, but he believed it was related to their large bodies as great apes.
"Oh, dear god," Master Roshi fainted.
Tarro and Goku finished eating, so Master Roshi went to pay the bills. The total was a shocking 965,000 Zeni. Even after emptying his pockets, Master Roshi only managed to pull out 70,000 Zeni. He looked awkwardly at the group.
"Old man, you need to borrow money?" Tarro asked Master Roshi in a tone that sounded he had nothing to do with the awkward situation he was in.
"Yes, please let me borrow your prize money, I'll pay you back next time." Master Roshi said helplessly.
"Here, you can have it, but I don't need the money back," Tarro said kindly.
"Thank you," Master Roshi helplessly thanked Tarro. He would not be in such a situation if not for these two food devouring monsters.
"I can give you another 500,000 Zeni since you can't pay for the rest." Tarro said 'kindly'
"Really? That would be great!" Master Roshi heaved a sigh in relief upon finding a solution to his tight situation.
Tarro pulled out another 500,000 Zeni worth of bills out of nowhere and gave it to Master Roshi. Then the group bid farewell and went their separate ways. Goku flew away on his cloud in search of the dragon balls. He wanted to find the four-star dragon ball.

Since West City wasn't far from where they were, Tarro and Bulma wanted to go to Bulma's home. During his stay in, Goku came by, apparently, the dragon radar broke, so Bulma repaired it for him.
Bulma was also happy to spend more time with Tarro and had skipped school because she missed him. She continued skipping school as it wasn't long before summer vacation started. She had also gotten used to travelling around on his cloud while being hugged.
'Since Goku came by to repair the dragon radar, it means in a few more days he'll wreck Red Ribbon Army's headquarters. Then we'll be going to Fortune Teller Baba,' Tarro thought. He had expected the Red Ribbon Saga to be longer, but to think it was about to end in just a few more days.

"What do I do then? I promised Upa to find the dragon balls and wish his dad back to life." Goku said distressed.
"Don't worry, why don't you ask the Turtle Hermit old man, he probably has some ideas," Tarro said. Fortune Teller Baba was Master Roshi's elder sister, and out of their group, only he knew where she lived. Although they could look for her without asking Master Roshi, it would take days for them to find information about her on their own.
"Aren't you going to come and help?" Bulma asked.
"Actually I was just about to go and train for a bit," Tarro replied.
