Kalypso sighed, knowing that even if she had an abundance of powerful soul essence to absorb, she could only absorb some of it as she can't become too powerful without separating herself from Damien since it would inflict too much pressure on his soul plane to sustain the connection. But if she separated from him, then she would not only lose some of her cultivation but would be quite useless since, without a host, she wouldn't be able to regulate much of her nethereal energy.
This was why Spirit Weapons were considered to be useless without a master, and why Kalypso was continuously losing her cultivation and energy over time during the period, she was stuck in the mortal realm without a master.

But that was not true. Even if all the energy in his body was frozen as well, the strand of jet-black energy mixed with the azure energy was still circulating through his entire body at a lightning-fast speed, and the more it circulated, the more this strand of energy was increasing in amount.

Not long after, his frozen blood cells began to crack and break down to reveal new blood cells that had a glimmering glow to them which was proof that these new blood cells were far from ordinary and were not the same as his previous blood cells.
His frozen bones were breaking down, including his bone marrow, as a new one began to replace it. His cells were continuously breaking themselves down and reforming and reforging themselves into something stronger, sturdier, and resilient.
The same went for his muscles which had reformed and reforged into muscles that seemed as strong as steel. Their size remained the same, yet the dense power that was packing within had skyrocketed to the point where it was incomparable to how it was before.
Even his skin had broken down and reformed into a new one that had a radiant glow to it while its surface was flawless without a speck of imperfection.
It was as if he was undergoing a rebirth of his body literally into a superior one that was beyond the imagination of any mortal.
