Damien scoffed, "Let him…, and we will be waiting for him. The more he gets pissed off, the better since it would mean he would have a hard time thinking clearly. But since he is not like Dogmir, I doubt he would let anger cloud his mind. But he is still a man in the end. His plans have their limits, and whatever he did in the Shazar Kingdom could have been the ace in his sleeve since nobody knew about it."
"We shouldn't underestimate a monster like my father. He might not show it, but he is always a step ahead of us. It would only be prudent that we overestimate him just to be safe. Just like how you are holding a lot of secrets, he is holding some as well…and the egg could have well been one of the biggest secrets among them," Reva said with her brows pulled together.
Damien silently nodded, thinking that she was right, especially since she knew him the best. It was best to not underestimate an enemy like Ruthren.
"But that egg you told us about seems weird. How did Ruthren manage to come up with that? It isn't something that surely came from this continent," Yuria said with a perplexed expression.
"I also have no idea how he got that egg there. But It seems like that egg originated from the Old World. And one thing's for sure…what the Lancaster Emperor said was right. If that plague was to spread, everyone would die, and we would have no choice but to go out and try our luck. Let's hope we can use the time we gained to prepare ourselves for what's coming," Damien said with a heavy expression as the atmosphere among them also became a little heavy, thinking about their future here.

However, all of them were relieved that Damien had bought some time for all of them. They couldn't imagine if they would have even been alive now if not for him.
