Before the Principal could answer to Angelize, Ashley screamed out.
"That's a sham!'
Ashley heart was hammering against her chest. She knew that she stood no chance to go on attending the college now that her lie was exposed but she still had to try one last time.
"That's definitely not what happened!", Ashley pathetically said.
Caroline was flummoxed and speechless. She had no idea what to say now in her defense so she let Ashley to go on with her insubstantial attempt to clarify the situation.
"Angelize is in computer department. She has the ability to make fake videos and this one is also fake video! I request the Principal to validate the video before coming to a conclusion!", she continued to assert.
"Is it? ", Angelize smiled faintly."Then can you explain Caroline preposterous and extreme reaction to a fake video?"
"That-that...", Ashley was at the loss of words at first then rapidly came up with a flimsy reply, "That's because she was just surprised"
Angelize ignored her and faced the Principal.
"I think our Principal is not the Principal of the Imperial College for no reason and will make a wise and just decision. I hope you still remember your words", her voice was so composed and collected that one couldn't believe it was a teenager who said that.
His words were that Caroline will have to write an apology letter to Angelize.
Caroline couldn't stand the idea of apologizing to Angelize so she blurted out.
"Where is the other part of the video? We both know you also hit us later! I'll never apologize to you when we are both at fault!", Caroline ignorantly said.
"So now are you admitting that this video is valid and you were at fault?"
Ashley wanted to thrash Caroline.
That idiot stupidly admitted that they hit Angelize and exposed both of them!
Ashley had hardly came up with that new lie that video was fake and at the most it could have given them a little time. Principal would give the video to someone to check its validity. And well, they could always bribe the one checking it later to say that the video was fake.
But now Caroline ruined everything by admitting that the video was real.
"Yes, but you also hit us! Why don't you show the Principal that part of video? You hit all five of us!"
There was no going back now that Caroline had already exposed the truth.
Angelize scoffed at her.
"How can I alone hit all five of you?", her voice was cool-like cold breeze on a sunny warm day.
"You stop lying bitch! You hit all of us!"
"Enough!", Principal hit his fists on the desk and his enraged voice made everyone jump, of course not the impassive Angelize.
"This is my office, not your home! Stop the use of profanities!", his words were mostly directed towards Caroline.
So Caroline got on the bad side of Principal.
She sure acted out of her well-known innocent character when in panic and did many absurd things.
"But this is true Sir.", Caroline voice grew very quiet after the Principal reprimand, "She also hit us. Tell them Ashley she also hit us", Caroline desperately tried to make them believe in her words.
"Y-Yes, she hit us", Ashley reluctantly said.
Saying that she hit them was like admitting that they hit her first. But Caroline had already admitted it. So now they could only hope that the Principal would let go of the matter because both parties were hurt.
"Miss Wang are you admitting that it was you who used violence first and whatever you told us earlier was a lie including the testimonies of your five classmates?", his voice grave serious.
"I-I it was her!", Caroline bursted, "It was she who hit me first", Caroline lied. Everything had gone chaotic for her and she couldn't think what to say anymore.
At this Ashley stepped in.
"This is true Sir. Professor Brad had attested to it that Caroline was hurt. She hadn't used violence against Angelize if Angelize didn't hit her before", Ashley tried to make Caroline accusation sound a little reasonable.
Professor Brad, the young and immature professor, was not happy to be dragged in to this matter now. He had previously given guarantee that Caroline was always at her best behaviour. And that she couldn't have done anything wrong. But with that video, it needed an idiot to tell that Caroline and Ashley were lying. And now they had openly admitted that they hit Angelize.
Principal threw a skeptical and livid glance at professor Brad. Professor Brad had a mortified look. Today's event was going to strain the previously good relation between him and the principal.
"Ms Lockheart is it true? Did you use violence earlier?"
"I think that Sir can decide better.", Angelize said, "They've admitted that they have lied earlier so they can lie again"
Principal was quiet for a long time.
"I think that if I hit her and gave her a severe injury she would have taken a leave from the college and passed from main gate. Why don't we watch the recording from CCTV footage from main gate to check whether she left or not?"
"Presumptuous!", Professor Brad flared up, "Are you implying that I was lying when I said that she had to take a leave that day"
Of course he was lying. Angelize knew that. Professor Brad broke into cold sweats. If it was also proven a lie, the last piece of dignity he had left would be shredded.
"You were definitely not lying sir", Angeize was good with words, "But I believe that you might have gotten deceived by her"
