Morning

Both of them slept until 9:00 AM, which was a rare occurrence for Song Nanqiao, who had a very precise biological clock. However, Wen Wenyao, sleeping beside her, showed no signs of waking up.

Song Nanqiao glanced at her.

The girl was sleeping soundly, her jet-black hair scattered on the bedsheet, and her fair skin showed no traces of yesterday’s activities, which had been initiated by herself. Song Nanqiao had left no marks.

“What time is it now?” Song Nanqiao groggily opened her phone.

“9:15??”

In fifteen minutes, the stock market would open for the day. During this time, the stock market was particularly crucial. Song Nanqiao quickly got out of bed.

She wished she had done fewer rounds last night…

Song Nanqiao hurriedly turned on her computer and didn’t bother with washing up or having breakfast. She needed to take care of business first.

She checked the stock market.

It seemed that more and more people were paying attention to her stock. Yesterday, Zhai Xinqi only released some minor rumors without massive promotion. However, even at this level, the level of attention had increased significantly.

Song Nanqiao increased her efforts to buy more shares. Currently, it looked like the entire stock was still on the rise.

“Find a suitable time to start the rollback.”

While it was still rising, she would initiate a rollback soon. Most investors wouldn’t rush to sell the stock during a rollback. Instead, they believed that the stock would continue to rise.

At this point, Zhai Xinqi called.

“Miss Song.”

“Yes?”

“Do you want to release the news in the next two days?” Zhai Xinqi checked the trend of Song Nanqiao’s stock. Many people were buying now, and increasing the publicity at this time would push the stock price even higher.

“No, wait until I initiate the first rollback.”

During a rollback, stock prices would drop, but that would attract even more buyers. Later, when the stock price continued to rise to its peak, that would be when Song Nanqiao sold the stock.

“Alright.”

He understood Song Nanqiao’s intentions. So, for now, they will continue releasing minor news and wait for the right time.

While they were discussing business, Wen Wenyao seemed to have been awakened.

The girl furrowed her brows slightly, instinctively reached out to touch the bedside but found no one there. She woke up, opened her eyes, and eventually locked her gaze on Song Nanqiao.

Song Nanqiao was still working…

Wen Wenyao seemed a bit disappointed. She had thought Song Nanqiao would spend the entire weekend with her, but it seemed only half a day.

The person sitting at the computer desk was still in her pajamas, and her hair fell naturally on her shoulders. She looked like she had just woken up. Wen Wenyao realized that Song Nanqiao hadn’t even had breakfast.

She didn’t want to disturb Song Nanqiao, so she quietly moved her body, put on her cotton slippers, and took small steps. By the time Song Nanqiao noticed her, she had left the room.

“Since Nanqiao is busy… I’ll make breakfast.”

Wen Wenyao muttered to herself. During this time, Song Nanqiao had been taking care of her, and Wen Wenyao had tried several times to help with household chores, but Song Nanqiao always refused. Today, however, since Song Nanqiao was occupied, Wen Wenyao decided to prepare breakfast for her.

Back when she was at the Wen family’s house, Wen Wenyao had been slowly learning to cook and had practiced quite a few times. A simple breakfast should be no problem.

Opening the refrigerator, Wen Wenyao found some beef and some leftover vegetables from yesterday. Since Song Nanqiao’s health wasn’t great right now, Wen Wenyao decided to make congee, which would be easier for her to digest.

Making congee would take about an hour.

As Wen Wenyao cooked, she simmered the millet and beef until they were soft and flavorful. She only turned off the heat after ensuring the congee was thoroughly cooked. This way, Song Nanqiao could digest it better.

When she served the meat congee, Song Nanqiao had also finished most of her work.

She put down her computer, turned her head to look at the bed, and was surprised to find Wen Wenyao was no longer there.

Song Nanqiao: ???

Just as she was about to go out to find her, the girl came in, carrying a steaming bowl of congee. She pushed open the bedroom door.

“I made breakfast.”

Wen Wenyao smiled faintly, placing the plate with the congee and a spoon on the desk.

“Sorry…” Song Nanqiao lowered her head, wanting to say something but not finding the words.

“What’s wrong?”

The girl hugged her and gently stroked her back, soothing her emotions.

“I didn’t realize you… I wasn’t paying attention.” Song Nanqiao felt a bit remorseful. She felt that she had been too focused on work, neglecting her partner who had eagerly woken up.

“You noticed now,” Wen Wenyao said with a smile. Though her face wore a smile, Song Nanqiao couldn’t shake off a sense of unease.

It just felt… not that simple.

“I’ll make time to be with you in the future.”

Song Nanqiao hugged her and kept reminding herself that Wen Wenyao needed companionship.

“Okay, I believe you. Let’s have breakfast.”

Wen Wenyao looked at the congee on the table and guided Song Nanqiao to the table.

With a spoon in hand, Song Nanqiao stirred the congee in her bowl. The steaming aroma wafted over, a flavor she liked. She took a careful look and noticed that this congee was even softer than the ones she made.

She took a sip.

The taste was rich and savory, allowing her to swallow without needing to chew.

Wen Wenyao had put in the effort.

“How is it?”

“I like it,” Song Nanqiao took another sip. She genuinely liked the taste.

After Breakfast.

It was also Wen Wenyao who washed the dishes. Song Nanqiao stayed in the room, thinking for a moment. She decided that next time, she would wash the dishes herself. She felt that Wen Wenyao’s status wasn’t suitable, and she couldn’t bear to watch those delicate hands do the dishes.

“Darling, I’ll be going out in a bit,” Wen Wenyao came over, taking small steps. She had just received a call from ROT.

“Yes? What happened?” Song Nanqiao reached out and patted her head.

“I just received a call from ROT.”

“And then?”

“They want me to come to the company today.”

ROT’s senior management had already approved Wen Wenyao’s interview application. Now they needed to assign her an agent and set up her social media accounts. After completing this process, they could announce it to the public.

“Should I accompany you?”

“No need, aren’t you busy in the afternoon?” Wen Wenyao put on a coat. She knew Song Nanqiao had a busy schedule in the afternoon, and at ROT, Song Nanqiao couldn’t do anything else.

“That’s true. I’ll pick you up later.”

“Okay.”

Wen Wenyao put on her coat and took out a mask and sunglasses from a drawer. She walked over to Song Nanqiao.

“Is there anything else…”

Song Nanqiao hadn’t finished her sentence.

A soft kiss came unexpectedly…

Very light, like a dragonfly skimming the water…

“Come and pick me up,” Wen Wenyao whispered in her ear, then lowered her head and gently kissed it.

“Okay…” Song Nanqiao raised her hand, brushed through Wen Wenyao’s hair, and took a sniff.

The two of them exchanged smiles.

In the end, Wen Wenyao left under Song Nanqiao’s gaze.
