Wen Wenyao arrived at Song Nanqiao’s place after her evening self-study session, and by the time she got there, it was already quite late.

“Get some rest earlier; I’ll sleep with you,” Song Nanqiao gently rubbed the girl’s head.

It was already 10:00 PM, and Wen Wenyao had to wake up early the next day. Song Nanqiao was concerned that she might oversleep.

“Okay.” Wen Wenyao buried herself in Song Nanqiao’s embrace, nodding and lightly nuzzling Song Nanqiao’s clothes a couple of times.

She hadn’t seen Song Nanqiao for many days, and her yearning was like an unstoppable flood that could only be released through hugs to pour out her emotions.

“Oh, by the way, there’s something I want to tell you.”

Wen Wenyao leaned against Song Nanqiao, her voice muffled.

“My social media account has gained so many followers.”

After revealing her identity publicly, Wen Wenyao had her own social media account as per Sister Lan’s arrangement. Occasionally, she would open it to check and, following Sister Lan’s guidance, post some simple selfies and snapshots of her life.

Every one of her photos attracted a high level of attention. Even when she was online, she received notifications of her pictures, often seeing them on various websites.

Just by doing this, her follower count skyrocketed as if it were a bug. The comment sections were filled with compliments about her beauty.

Some followers called her “little sister,” “big sister,” and even “wife.”

A strange feeling welled up in Wen Wenyao’s heart. While it was nice that so many people liked her, she was worried that Song Nanqiao might feel jealous or uncomfortable about it. If that were the case… being an idol might not be a good thing.

But it seemed that Song Nanqiao wasn’t bothered by it at all; she even smiled and said, “This is a good thing; it means you’re becoming famous.”

Stars were supposed to be like this; there would always be many people who liked them. Moreover, someone like Wen Wenyao, with exceptional looks and a privileged background, would naturally attract more admirers.

“Do you mind?” Wen Wenyao raised her head, her dark eyes looking at Song Nanqiao, seemingly a bit uneasy.

“I don’t mind. Don’t think too much about it.”

“Really?” She seemed to want to confirm again, and Wen Wenyao asked once more.

She genuinely cared about Song Nanqiao’s feelings.

“Really,” Song Nanqiao answered earnestly.

“Okay.” Wen Wenyao nodded slightly and then moved out of Song Nanqiao’s embrace. As long as Song Nanqiao didn’t mind, she was relieved.

“Go take a shower.”

“Okay.”

After Wen Wenyao showered, she curled up in Song Nanqiao’s embrace. Song Nanqiao’s embrace was always so warm, and snuggling up here made her feel exceptionally secure. Soon, Wen Wenyao fell into a deep sleep.

The next day, it was Song Nanqiao who woke up early to make breakfast for Wen Wenyao.

While she was busy in the kitchen, the kitchen door was gently pushed open.

A girl cautiously revealed half of her face, her dark pupils glued to Song Nanqiao. Song Nanqiao had awakened not long ago, and though it was relatively early, Wen Wenyao couldn’t sleep without Song Nanqiao by her side.

“You can sleep a little longer,” Song Nanqiao noticed the girl’s presence and said with an indulgent tone.

However, the girl didn’t obediently go back; instead, she quietly approached, silently wrapping her arms around Song Nanqiao’s waist from behind.

“I want to cook… you wait outside.”

The kitchen was filled with cooking fumes, and Song Nanqiao didn’t want Wen Wenyao to wait inside, fearing she might be bothered by the fumes.

“Okay.”

Wen Wenyao raised her small head. She knew that Song Nanqiao didn’t like her entering the kitchen. So, she obediently went outside to wait. Watching Song Nanqiao busy in the kitchen, Wen Wenyao felt a warm and sweet sensation spreading in her heart.

It’s so wonderful… if life could always be like this.

Wen Wenyao lowered her gaze. She had worked so hard because she wanted this kind of life. In the past, when she was a young lady, she only studied hard because of her standards.

“What are you thinking about? Come eat.” Song Nanqiao brought a plate of pan-fried buns to the table. She used to eat these often in her previous life, and her skill at making pan-fried buns was better than that of most chefs.

“Mmm.” The girl straightened her skirt and walked to the dining table.

“These are delicious.”

Wen Wenyao took a bite of the pan-fried bun. She rarely ate such things because they were novel to her, and also because Song Nanqiao’s cooking always suited her taste.

“I’m glad you like them.”

After a short breakfast, Wen Wenyao left. Before leaving, she gave Song Nanqiao a long kiss.
