For the past two weeks, Song Nanqiao had been working while accompanying Wen Wenyao on set.

Whenever Wen Wenyao was filming, Song Nanqiao stood by her side, holding her coat, and after the shoot, he would pour her hot water, taking care of her attentively.

Wen Wenyao also worked hard during the filming process. Despite her lack of experience in some areas, she unexpectedly performed spiritedly and completed the roles given by the director quite well.

This was Wen Wenyao’s final scene.

Despite a few retakes, she still met the director’s requirements.

“Miss Wen is indeed very talented. I was initially concerned that it would take a long time to adjust,” the director commented objectively after reviewing the footage.

With exceptional talent and outstanding looks, handling this role was not so difficult.

“Can I go back tomorrow?” Wen Wenyao asked.

“Yes, let’s meet again at the wrap-up party,” the director nodded.

Hearing this, Wen Wenyao breathed a sigh of relief.

Being an actor wasn’t as easy as it seemed. Several times, due to the pressure of filming, Wen Wenyao couldn’t sleep well. She needed Song Nanqiao’s comforting presence to find peace and continue shooting.

“Is the shoot over?” Song Nanqiao approached Wen Wenyao, opened a thermos, and fed her a sip of water.

“Yeah,” Wen Wenyao nodded and drank the water Song Nanqiao offered, warm and with a hint of fragrance and sweetness as if it contained floral tea.

Whenever Song Nanqiao accompanied her, Wen Wenyao worried about her health. Several times she wanted Song Nanqiao to return to the hotel, but Song Nanqiao refused, staying by her side through wind and rain, never leaving.

This behavior made Wen Wenyao feel secure. In this cold winter, it gave her a lot of warmth.

“It’s your birthday in a little while. Let’s go back home and prepare in advance.”

Calculating the days, there was still a little over a week left.

Wen Wenyao adjusted Song Nanqiao’s scarf, wrapping it around her again as if she feared Song Nanqiao would freeze.

“Sure, I’ll follow your lead.”

“Then I’ll book a flight for tomorrow,” Song Nanqiao said.

“I got you a down jacket today, and you’re not wearing it. In the future, don’t dress so lightly. What if you catch a cold?” Wen Wenyao raised her hand, took Song Nanqiao’s hand, and placed it on her face. She noticed that Song Nanqiao’s hand was as cold as ice.

Not being obedient at all, making her worry so much.

Song Nanqiao was always like this. In the winter, she didn’t like wearing down jackets and would leave one hand exposed, refusing to put on more clothes. After Wen Wenyao helped her put on a jacket, Song Nanqiao would take it off again after a while.

“I don’t like wearing heavy clothes,” Song Nanqiao complained that down jackets were bulky and restricted her movements.

“But it’s necessary; your hands could get frostbitten.”

Wen Wenyao firmly held Song Nanqiao’s hand, putting her hand in her pocket and, incidentally, taking off one of her gloves to put on Song Nanqiao’s other hand.

“More than clothes, I want you.”

“Is that what I think it means?” Wen Wenyao’s cheeks reddened slightly. Song Nanqiao had never been so forward before.

“Yeah, let’s go back to the hotel, and you can keep me warm.”

Hearing this, Wen Wenyao squeezed Song Nanqiao’s hand even tighter, seeming a bit nervous as she lightly nodded under Song Nanqiao’s gaze.

As long as it was Song Nanqiao, she was willing…

In their room.

Whether it was because of the air conditioning or the warmth emanating from the girl, Song Nanqiao felt herself gradually warming up as she held her.

The curtains were drawn, there was no one else around, and Song Nanqiao began to act more boldly, layer by layer removing their restraints, unreservedly absorbing the girl’s warmth.

“In the future… don’t mistreat your body like this. What if you get frostbite?” Wen Wenyao nestled in Song Nanqiao’s arms, their fingers entwined. She could feel that Song Nanqiao’s hand was warming up, and she credited herself for it.

“I will.”

“I don’t believe you. From now on, I’ll help you put on clothes, and you can’t take them off casually,” Wen Wenyao held Song Nanqiao tightly and continued to transmit her warmth.

“Alright, I’ll wear them then,” Song Nanqiao helplessly smiled. This was the difference between having a girlfriend and not having one.

In the past, when she dressed lightly, people might comment, but no one cared.

Winter always brought a sense of fatigue, and Song Nanqiao felt like she wanted to sleep. She curled up in the bed and was about to take a nap, planning to take a bath later and continue sleeping. However, Wen Wenyao pulled her in and gave her a bit of porridge.

“Finish your bath and rest; I’ll take care of you tonight.”

Wen Wenyao adjusted the air conditioning a bit higher and wrapped Song Nanqiao in a blanket. Since her work was done for now, it was time to let Song Nanqiao rest. When they returned home, it would be her turn to take care of Song Nanqiao.

It seemed that Song Nanqiao had been very tired recently. She had slept from the afternoon until nine in the evening. She had originally planned to take a bath and go back to sleep, but Wen Wenyao held her back and made her drink a little porridge.

“After you’ve freshened up, you can rest. I’ll take care of you tonight.”

Wen Wenyao held Song Nanqiao as they slept, and Song Nanqiao fell asleep in Wen Wenyao’s gentle embrace.

She seemed to have a dream, one where she went to a distant place…

Morning came.

Both of them got up early, packed their things, and prepared to go to the airport.

Wen Wenyao’s manager had originally intended to accompany her back, but seeing her leave with Song Nanqiao, they had to take separate flights back to the company to report.

The flight was short.

Song Nanqiao chatted with Wen Wenyao for a while, and they held hands while watching a movie together. Time passed quickly.

“Aren’t you curious about the gift I prepared for you?” Wen Wenyao sat on the couch at home, watching Song Nanqiao’s busy figure, and asked curiously.

“I’ll like whatever you’ve prepared for me,” Song Nanqiao smiled gently. Anything would be fine; she wasn’t a picky person.

Just as they were talking and laughing, Song Nanqiao’s phone rang.

“I’ll take a call.”

“Go ahead.”

Wen Wenyao watched her as she walked away and fell into deep thought.

Lately, Song Nanqiao seemed to be in frequent contact with someone, even on set, they could be seen talking on the phone. It seemed unusual for a professional relationship to be this close.

Wen Wenyao was sensitive and couldn’t help but unconsciously pay attention to these small details.

She wanted to follow but stopped in her tracks.

“Is this behavior of mine too unreasonable?”

Feeling troubled, she knew she couldn’t be so possessive of everyone around Song Nanqiao. She also understood that she should give Song Nanqiao some privacy, but she couldn’t control these emotions.

Wen Wenyao felt uneasy and sat back on the sofa, deciding to ask Song Nanqiao about it after she finished her call.
