The next day.

The two of them didn’t have any other plans. Wen Wenyao had been accompanying Song Nanqiao the whole time, preparing three meals for her.

All the dishes were newly learned. Wen Wenyao had spent quite some time learning cooking to ensure that Song Nanqiao could eat better at home.

“Do you like it?” The girl’s eyes sparkled with a hint of anticipation. She had practiced these dishes for a long time.

“I like it.” After taking a bite of the meat in her bowl, Song Nanqiao nodded slightly at Wen Wenyao. It wasn’t an exaggeration; the food was really good.

Song Nanqiao noticed the red spot on Wen Wenyao’s fingers from the burn, which were originally as white as spring onions.

“If you like it, then I’ll cook for you from now on,” Wen Wenyao said, tilting her head back with a sweet smile on her face.

“No, let me do it.”

“Why? Don’t you like it?”

“I do like it, but I can’t bear to.” Song Nanqiao stood up, took Wen Wenyao’s hand, and gently blew on it.

Such beautiful hands, such a lovely girl; she couldn’t bear it.

She just wanted Wen Wenyao to remain her little princess, pampered by her. She couldn’t stand the thought of her getting hurt even a little bit.

It seemed that Wen Wenyao understood her intentions. She used her other hand to caress Song Nanqiao’s cheek.

“I’m willing to do all this. I don’t want my identity to deprive you of the care a girlfriend should receive. I also want to be loving with you like an ordinary couple,” Wen Wenyao said with a slightly flushed face. She hesitated for a moment before speaking these words.

Although cooking and other mundane tasks were simple, she wanted to do them for Song Nanqiao.

“I understand,” Song Nanqiao kissed the back of her girlfriend’s hand and took her hand, leading her into the bedroom.

In the bedroom, Song Nanqiao took out the first-aid kit and carefully cleaned Wen Wenyao’s wound. Even though it was just a minor burn, Song Nanqiao was worried that it might leave a scar if left untreated. Fortunately, there was burn ointment at home.

“I have something to attend to tonight,” Song Nanqiao said, her head lowered as she continued to tend to Wen Wenyao’s wound. “It’s a dinner engagement, and I may be back late.”

“Will you be coming back for dinner?”

“No, it’s a business dinner, so I might be back later,” Song Nanqiao furrowed her brows slightly. This business association was different, and she didn’t know what awaited her.

“Alright, focus on your work. I’ll be at home doing my homework, waiting for you,” Wen Wenyao said, noticing the emotions in Song Nanqiao’s eyes. She recognized that this was Song Nanqiao’s serious working mode.

“If you feel tired, go to sleep. I’ll be back.”

“Okay.”

After tending to Wen Wenyao, Song Nanqiao left her to work on her homework in the study.

Once Wen Wenyao was settled, Song Nanqiao, alone in her room, fell into deep thought.

“You seem very worried,” the system commented.

“Maybe after this business association, I won’t be able to sleep properly anymore,” Song Nanqiao said as she pulled out a set of women’s suits from her wardrobe. She shook them slightly, preparing to wear them tonight.

Tonight…

Liu Xuwen drove his car near Song Nanqiao’s residential area and sent her a message.

Liu Xuwen: Sister, I’ll be there in half an hour.

Song Nanqiao: Come out now.

After replying to Liu Xuwen’s message, Song Nanqiao prepared to leave. When she opened the door, the girl from the study walked out.

“Are you leaving?” Wen Wenyao asked.

“Yes.”

“Take care and come back early,” Wen Wenyao walked toward her and, under Song Nanqiao’s gaze, gently kissed her on the cheek.

Just like before, every time Song Nanqiao left, Wen Wenyao would give her a gentle kiss.

“All right.”

Song Nanqiao nodded with a relaxed look on her face.

The two of them parted at the door.

After Song Nanqiao left, she quickly walked to the underground parking lot of her residential complex. There, she saw a black sedan with a flashing light—Liu Xuwen’s car.

She glanced around, saw no one else, and walked up to the car. The driver opened the door.

“Sister… I’m a bit nervous,” Liu Xuwen sat in the backseat. This was the first time he was attending a business association without family members by his side.

Moreover, it was such a high-profile business association, and Liu Xuwen suddenly thought of the intense business rivalry scenes in movies. It was really exciting.

“Don’t be nervous. Your position is not lower than theirs,” Song Nanqiao glanced at him casually.

With Liu Xuwen’s identity, even if he hadn’t started his own business, he was still much stronger than those small business owners. In fact, in this business association, it was Song Nanqiao who had to hide her identity. She couldn’t appear too early on the business stage.

“But we’re both underage.”

“Don’t think about that. Just remember that we have money and land,” Song Nanqiao leaned back on the sofa, closed her eyes, and continued.

“Okay.”

Liu Xuwen nodded, and when the time came, he would follow Song Nanqiao.

No problem.

After a brief chat, the driver started the car and drove them to the location of the business association.

This business association was held in secret at an inconspicuous location, an underground nightclub.

When the car stopped, Song Nanqiao looked out of the window. She saw a scene filled with bright lights and revelry. It was full of young men and women, along with some drunken executives who were loudly chattering on the roadside.

“Why come to a place like this?” Liu Xuwen seemed shocked.

He had never been to an underground nightclub before.

“It’s discreet. Although it’s chaotic, it’s not easy to be found here. I suspect there will be private rooms,” Song Nanqiao said as she looked around. She noticed a young man in a suit ahead who seemed to be waiting for someone.

“Take out the invitation.”

“Sure, Sister.”

Song Nanqiao took the invitation and walked up to the young man. She handed over the invitation casually, as if it wasn’t her first time in a place like this.

“Welcome.”

The man checked the invitation and immediately gestured with a welcoming posture. He then called a few henchmen over and escorted Song Nanqiao and Liu Xuwen inside.

Near the noisy nightclub, there was an unexpectedly quiet private room. Song Nanqiao found it hard to believe when she walked in. This room was really well hidden, even more so than she had imagined.

“Welcome, please have a seat,” a bespectacled man said and opened the last door for them.

As they entered, they were immediately hit by the smoke.
