The next day.

Song Nanqiao sent a message to Liu Xuwen and headed to the international airport alone.

Their flight times coincided perfectly.

“I hope nothing goes wrong,” Song Nanqiao thought as she sat in her seat, one hand resting against her forehead. She was feeling quite uneasy.

“What would you do if something dangerous happened?” the system hesitated and spoke up.

With its abilities, Song Nanqiao couldn’t guarantee her safety if a real danger arose, let alone considering Wen Wenyao.

“I plan to take her away before any danger occurs,” Song Nanqiao replied. She intended to keep a close eye on the situation at the venue. If anything seemed amiss, she would leave immediately, prioritizing Wen Wenyao’s safety.

Four hours later.

After getting off the plane, Song Nanqiao turned on her phone, only to find that Wen Wenyao had called her several times while she had her phone off during the flight.

Song Nanqiao dialed her back.

“Nanqiao.” Her call was quickly answered, and Wen Wenyao’s pleasant voice came through.

“Have you arrived?”

“I’m at the hotel. Are you coming to see me?”

Wen Wenyao sat in front of a dressing table. Now that Wen Guangquan wasn’t around, she wanted to take this opportunity to meet with Song Nanqiao.

“Yes.”

“I’ll send you the location.”

Wen Wenyao slid her phone screen to send her current location.

“I’ll be waiting for you… please come soon,” Wen Wenyao seemed to be growing impatient, eager to see Song Nanqiao.

“Okay.”

Song Nanqiao replied with a single word, then hung up the phone. She walked through the crowd at the airport, flagged down a taxi on the roadside, and upon reaching the hotel, paid the fare with the foreign currency she had exchanged at the bank.

Song Nanqiao glanced at the European-style building in front of her. It seemed that Wen Guangquan had reserved the entire hotel. How to get in was now the question.

Perhaps she should first check at the entrance.

“Hello, can I check in now?” Song Nanqiao politely spoke to the front desk attendant in a foreign language.

“Sorry, the hotel has already been fully booked by other guests,” replied the blonde, blue-eyed foreign attendant with a somewhat apologetic smile.

“Alright…” Just as Song Nanqiao was hesitating and turning to leave, a beautiful figure appeared in the lobby.

“Nanqiao!”

Wen Wenyao hurriedly rushed from behind and grabbed her. Seeing that there were no Wen family members around, Wen Wenyao boldly hugged Song Nanqiao tightly.

“Relax, let go; you might be seen,” Song Nanqiao seemed startled, wanting to break free from Wen Wenyao’s embrace.

“It’s fine; they won’t say anything,” Wen Wenyao released her girlfriend and turned to tell the front desk attendant, “This is someone very important to me. Please arrange a room next to mine.”

“Alright.” The front desk attendant lowered her head and arranged a room for Song Nanqiao.

As she walked up to Song Nanqiao, she handed over the room key.

Song Nanqiao hesitated for a moment and didn’t dare to accept it. Sharing a room was quite risky; if they were discovered, the consequences could be dire.

“Don’t worry, my father is out, and he’s been busy these past few days,” Wen Wenyao said as she took the room key and held Song Nanqiao’s hand. She then led her into the elevator.

“Tonight, I’ll accompany you to the banquet. Try not to leave my sight.”

“Okay, I’ll follow your lead,” the girl said as she clung to Song Nanqiao’s arm affectionately.

As Song Nanqiao opened the hotel room door, Wen Wenyao appeared to be growing impatient. She quickly embraced Song Nanqiao, and without even closing the door properly, she initiated a kiss. Her soft lips brushed against Song Nanqiao’s, giving her a hasty kiss and preparing for another.

“Don’t rush,” Song Nanqiao hastily closed the door.

What if someone saw them?

“Let’s calm down for a moment; we don’t need to rush this time,” Song Nanqiao restrained her. Although her girlfriend was enthusiastic, Song Nanqiao simply didn’t have the mood for such activities right now.

“I want to rush. Why not?” Wen Wenyao wasn’t convinced. She forcefully kissed Song Nanqiao, her tongue slipping into her lover’s mouth and delving deeper. She even freed one hand, intending to remove Song Nanqiao’s coat.

These past few days, she had been longing for Song Nanqiao.

Every time they talked on the phone, they would stay up very late, and she wouldn’t go to sleep until she was too exhausted to stay awake any longer. She even demanded that Song Nanqiao call her “baby.” Even though it had only been a few days since they were apart, Wen Wenyao had been filled with worry and restlessness.

Now that they were finally together, Wen Wenyao couldn’t contain her eagerness to be close to Song Nanqiao.

“Let’s not rush.” Song Nanqiao gently pushed her. For now, they needed to attend to important matters.

“I can’t wait,” Wen Wenyao persisted, forcefully kissing Song Nanqiao and pushing her onto the bed. She herself followed, pressing down on her.

The weight on Song Nanqiao’s body was comforting and didn’t make her feel uncomfortable.

“Be good, let’s focus on important matters first. We have the banquet to attend shortly.”

Song Nanqiao kissed her once and placed her hand on Wen Wenyao’s back, soothing her with gentle strokes.
