Wei Jin and Qian Miao happily accepted that they had another daughter. If Wei Jin just instinctively listened to his father, then Qian Miao sincerely cared for the little girl in her dream. Although the girl couldn’t speak, she helped silently all night. She looked cute and adorable, and her appearance was pure and lovely, which was in line with all of Qian Miao’s fantasies about her daughter.

She thought it through, and sent her husband out to buy some toys that little girls liked. Although her father-in-law just lightly explained that Xi Liu died miserably last night, the emotional woman who had just given birth to a child was still heartbroken for the daughter she got out of thin air.

Wei Mingyan, leaning on cane and followed by the invisible yellow dog, was about to open the door when he caught sight of Qian Miao, who was leaning against the head of the bed, busy stitching and sewing little clothes with motherly love.

“What are you doing?”

Qian Miao heard her father-in-law’s voice and looked up with a smile. “I’m sewing clothes for Xi Liu. a little girl needs to look good.”

The handsome Daoist master’s gaze shifted from the fabric in her hand, which wasn’t even the size of a mineral water bottle, to the small wooden figure on the side. Forget it, he didn’t want to tell this woman, who was full of motherly love, that the doll was just a medium. If she wanted to give the girl some clothes, she would have to burn them.

He looked again at his stupid son, who was fumbling to stuff his bag. “Come on.”

“Coming, coming.”

Wei Jin looked a little panicked, picked up the bag and quickly came to his father’s side. Their father and son rarely went out together. When Wei Jin walked in front, the young man thought that his father was old and leaning on a cane, shouldn’t he cooperate and slow down the pace? There was a clear and cool faint voice in his ears.

“Out of the way.”

He subconsciously turned aside and watched the handsome face move forward. No one would think that his father, who was in his forties, had skipped him and walked in front of him. When the cane fell to the ground, Wei Mingyan glanced back in disgust, “Even turtles are faster than you.”

Wei Jin: “…”

Luckily, he got used to it a long time ago. The two were walking one after the other. At first, Wei Jin was able to hold his tongue, but until he couldn’t catch up with his father even at a trot, he finally couldn’t hold back.

“Dad, walk a little slowly. Wait for me…”

The slender figure in front of him came to a standstill. Wei Jin rushed over and stopped by his side, somewhat moved, “Thank you Dad.”

Wei Mingyan paid no attention to him at all. His eyes fell on the old lady who was drying a quilt not far downstairs.

The old lady was kind-looking and was quietly coaxing the child in the stroller next to her, while putting up the quilt. The handsome Daoist closed his eyes. In the faint golden light of the early morning, his face seemed very white. His eyebrows wrinkled together, then, his eyes opened. His line of sight fell on the child who was looking at his grandmother happily.

The child kicked his calves happily as he looked at his grandmother with a toothless smile, saying words that no one could understand. It was a lovely sight in the eyes of others, but in Wei Mingyan’s eyes, a faint darkness was brewing over the child’s head.

An aura of death, or unexpected aura of death.

As soon as the old lady turned around after drying the quilt, she saw Wei Mingyan and the smile on her face widened, “Mr. Wei, going out with Ah Jin?”

“Yes, is Granny Gu drying a quilt?”

“I saw that the weather forecast said it would be sunny all day, so I thought I would dry the quilt and take my grandson for a stroll around the yard.”

She also belonged to the group of old ladies who werefirm believers of Wei Mingyan. After all, old ladies of this age all believed this kind of thing. If the person collected money, they may hesitate a little bit, but every time Wei Mingyan told a fortune, he did it for free. If he wasn’t a real master, would he treat money as dirt like this?

Surely not!

Granny Gu was one of the few rich old ladies in this shabby building. Her son was promising, had set up a company and made a lot of money. But the old lady listened to Wei Mingyan’s words, she stubbornly believed that her long-dead spouse still remained in this house. When he left, he was left alone in the house with nothing, so no matter how much her son persuaded him, she refused to move.

Her son was filial, so there was nothing he could do about his mother, so he had no choice but to move here and bought some good things for her. Only, Wei Mingyan and Wei Jin both leave early and return late, so even after so long, they haven’t met the person. Wei Jin heard Qian Miao speak about her several times. It seems that the old lady’s son and his wife divorced, and the child was given to his mother to raise. The son was very busy, so he came and went in a hurry every time.

“Master Wei, when are you free? I want to calculate my son’s marriage. He’s almost 40 years old, and I can’t stand seeing him single for too long.”

Wei Mingyan’s handsome face showed a faint smile, “Grandma Gu, I’m in a hurry. I’ll help you calculate when I get back.”

“However.”  He looked up slightly, looked up at the sky, and said in a magnetic voice, “It’s going to be windy soon, and it’s not a good day to take the children out to play.”

Wind? The old lady looked up at the sky questioningly. Today’s weather forecast didn’t say it was windy. But since she could refuse to move out because of the words of Master Wei, of course she trusted Wei Mingyan’s words wholeheartedly.

“Okay, thank you, Master Wei. I’ll take the child upstairs right away.”

Seeing that she listened, Wei Mingyan smiled and nodded, said goodbye, and went on walking with his cane.

“Dad, it’s really going to be windy later?” Seeing his father leaving, Wei Jin quickly followed, looking at the sight of the trees and grass around him not moving, and added, “The weather forecast didn’t say it would be windy.”

Wei Mingyan glanced at him. “Are you hungry?”

The young man first touched his stomach, shook his head and replied, “I’m not hungry …”

The voice just fell for 3 seconds, and suddenly he reacted, “Dad, are you hungry? There’s a breakfast shop down the slope in front. Let’s go there for a meal.”

When he finished, he found that his father still looked at him quietly but didn’t speak. His feet didn’t move at all.

Wei Jin continued, “It’s on me.”

The old father in front of him showed a smile, a smile full of love for his son. “Look, you’re so thin. Eat more later.”

After listening to Wei Mingyan’s words, Granny Gu looked at the sky for a little while, but didn’t dare to delay. She pushed the stroller and went upstairs. Her family lived on the second floor, and the door was a bright steel security door completely different from the style of her neighbors. This was installed by her son, because Granny Gu refused to move anyway. Her son persuaded her several times but couldn’t help it, so he had to try his best to install it here.

Granny Gu was pained by this spending, but her son also said, either she followed him to move to a big house, or he would have to fix this place. She had worked hard all her life, all for her child to have a better life. How could he let his old mother live in an old house where there was nothing good? So, she also had to agree. Of course, although she said he shouldn’t spend money in vain on the surface, she still felt happy in her heart. When the child was filial, how could a mother not be happy?

First, she put the cute grandchild well on the sofa surrounded by pillows, and then parked the baby stroller by the door. Granny Gu turned on the TV and found a cartoon channel and put it on.

After watching for a while, she thought about calling her son back to eat at noon. Although the child made a lot of money, he was really busy, saying that the company is going to be listed and was so busy that he barely had time to rest. She had called him several times before, but he didn’t eat.

Granny Gu advised him several times before this until she simply stopped persuading him. She felt that money wasn’t something you were born with, and won’t bring into death. The child, being able to achieve this kind of success was very impressive and she felt very content, but the younger generation was never satisfied. There were differences in thinking between the two sides from the beginning.

(TNote: wasn’t something you were born with, and won’t bring into death = You can’t bring it with you from before birth, and you can’t take with you after you’re dead. Simply, it isn’t something you should obsess over.)

In that case, it would be better to help her son stabilize his home well, such as by bringing up this big baby. Granny Gu smiled and kissed her grandson, who was playing by himself on the sofa, and went to the kitchen to prepare to take her time choosing vegetables. She was thinking of calling her son to ask if he would come back for lunch. But when she felt her pocket, her phone was gone. The old lady searched for a while before remembering that she had just taken the baby downstairs to have breakfast, and seemed to have left it on the table. She rushed to get up, snuggled the baby back into the stroller, and prepared to go downstairs to retrieve the phone.

Downstairs, indeed as expected, there was a breeze at the moment. Granny Gu sighed in her mind, that Master Wei was really powerful. She didn’t think much about it, continuing to push the child to go downhill and across the road, to the breakfast shop.

Wei Jin was looking at his father, who was slowly eating rice porridge with a mouthful of salty vegetables, in front of him. He finished his meal in 5 minutes, and then waited here for 15 minutes, watching his father eat. Unable to hold back, the young man who looked similar to Wei Mingyan couldn’t help but look down at his watch and ask in a whisper, “Dad, can you eat faster?”

“Why?”

The man held out his hand, peeled the eggs slowly with his slender fingertips, and slowly put the white, tender and round egg into the porridge, perfectly presenting what ‘no hurry’ was.

Wei Jin was about to die of anxiety, “I need to be at work soon.”

“Work?” Wei Mingyan took a bite of pickles and looked up at his son. “Won’t you be resigning soon?”

“Well… Even if I resign, I shouldn’t be late yet…” Wei Jin looked at the half bowl of porridge in front of his father, almost unable to hold himself back from rushing up and drinking it.

“Fine fine, I’ll eat faster. Look at you like this, such shame.” Wei Mingyan looked at him in disgust, and was about to continue drinking porridge when his eyebrows suddenly wrinkled. The handsome man frowned and put down his chopsticks.

Wei Jin looked at his father in confusion, “Dad, not eating?”

He didn’t speak, but pulled out a turtle shell from his sleeve. He threw the contents on the table, looked at the results, and frowned even deeper.

“Stupid, go upstairs and bring a cup down for me. I want to drink water.”

Wei Jin looked suspiciously at the mineral water sitting on the breakfast counter, “Isn’t there water here?”

Wei Mingyan touched the needle he had.” Will you go?”

“I’ll go!” Threatened by force, the young man had to walk back with a bitter face.
