The two of them quickly arrived near Du Zeyu’s house, and they were about to separate. Wei Mingyan, who had been holding back for a long time and didn’t speak, was in a bit of a hurry.

He squeezed his hand somewhat nervously on the corner of his shirt and asked, “Um… Du Zeyu, are you free after the exam?”

“I …” When he opened his mouth, he found that he didn’t have a reason. After a while, he came up with, “I have a subject I don’t understand. Can you teach me?”

The girl looked at him with a little surprise, “Teaching a subject?”

“Yes, don’t I have to repeat it?” It was so much easier to speak after he grasped a point.

Du Zeyu looked at the person in front of her.

His hands were somewhat unnaturally clutching the corners of his shirt; his originally white earlobes were flushed. His cat-like eyes were filled with expectation and more of the same shyness as hers in the morning.

The suspicions that had been lingering in her mind all day today were a little more certain now, and although she knew that the gap between the two made it nearly impossible, she couldn’t help but feel happy.

“Sure, anything you don’t know, you can come and ask me.”

“Really?!” The teenager looked like he had gotten some great news. His eyes lit up another layer, “Don’t you mind me being annoying?”

“Why? You’re so nice. As the saying goes, birds of a feather flock together. If I stay with you for a long time, maybe I could also become like you.”

Wei Mingyan, who hadn’t listened to many classes since elementary school, was a bit confused.

It was a familiar phrase, but what did it mean?

“Well, I’ll go home first. If you have any questions, you can come to me. I’m usually here.”

“Then, goodbye …”

Watching the teenager reluctantly let go of his shirt, waving his hand to say goodbye, and his handsome little face filled with good looks, Du Zeyu couldn’t help but reach out and rub his head.

“Hmm?”

The teenager looked at her dumbfounded. His pair of cat eyes were full of confusion.

“There was a mosquito. I just shooed it away …”

The girl blushed and silently removed her hand.

Sure enough, his hair was so soft.

Wei Mingyan believed her words without hesitation and nodded with gratitude in his eyes, “Thank you, go home now.”

So well-behaved, so cute.

How could anyone in the class say he was domineering? Sure enough, those who could ostracize her behind her back didn’t have good eyes.

“Not going to the race at night.”

Wei Mingyan pushed open the door and went to the sofa. His hand had just picked up an apple from the coffee table, and his long, slender legs were crossed on it.

The dude who was busy playing poker froze up, “How can you not go? I had a hard time sneaking the car over from my Dad’s. I also told some people and my followers. Now you’re saying you aren’t going? Such a buzzkill.”

“Are you stupid!?”

The teenager took a bite of the apple and felt that it wasn’t very tasty. He threw it directly into the trash can, “There are so many road bends in West Mountain, and there are three villages around it. We don’t have a driver’s license. Do you want to die?”

“No.”

Zheng Ting’s face was still covered with white tissue from losing in poker, and he couldn’t be bothered to tear it off, “Wasn’t racing your idea?”

(TNote: Tissue from losing poker = if you play poker with punishment instead of a bet, some Asian countries use pasting tissue paper on your face as punishment. Like scribbling your face with powder or lipstick etc.)

“Who said it was mine? ” Wei Mingyan didn’t hesitate to throw Bao Da under the bus, “Bao Da told me that I should call on you guys to have fun. As a result, I found out I couldn’t play at all.”

“Bao Da, Bao Da!”

He raised his voice and called out a few times, and Bao Da, who was outside, came in in a hurry. Just after he entered, he heard Wei Mingyan ask him, ” Tell me, didn’t you say that racing in the West Mountain was fun? “

Bao Da froze and subconsciously glanced at the four dudes with strips of tissue plastered all over their faces, who were also looking over and bitterly complained in his heart.

In the past, whenever he came up with an idea, didn’t Wei Mingyan take it as his own?

But in this situation, it was impossible not to admit it.

He squeezed a pleasing smile on his face, “Well, I also heard it from others.”

Zhang Ting’s face darkened when he heard Bao Da’s name. He tore the paper off his face, stood up, and asked with an unhappy look, “Who said it?”

He and the other few who were busy eating, drinking, and having fun were different. As soon as he heard that there was a village nearby, he knew the meaning of it. Previously, he trusted his own brothers before, so he didn’t check, but as for Bao Da …

“We were just coincidentally playing together. I don’t know their names.”  Bao Da took a step back with some fear and asked apologetically, “What’s wrong?”

“What’s wrong?”

Zheng Ting looked at his brother’s follower in front of him with a grim gaze, “Bao Da, you gave us the idea of going to West Mountain to race. Why didn’t you drive here yourself?”

He was the most irritable person amongst the several people and never hid his dislike of Bao Da. It was only because of Wei Mingyan that he didn’t attack him. Now, Bao Da felt a chill on his back.

When he faltered and couldn’t answer, Wei Mingyan, who was lazily leaning on the sofa over there, leaned out, took a banana, and peeled it.

“Zheng Ting, are you stupid?”

“He wants to race up there, doesn’t he?”

Bao Da’s face, with his head down, suddenly sank. His eyes looked insulted and stifled.

He didn’t. Although his family was considered better than ordinary people, it was still a far cry from these young masters.

What’s more, Zheng Ting was free to sneak away the car at home without fear of punishment, but his father didn’t like him. He was careful at home, not daring to make any mistakes at all.

“Why are you still helping him? What if something happens when we run the risk of going this time?”

Zhang Ting resented Wei Mingyan for failing his expectations. He had always been unhappy with Bao Da, thinking that he was full of bad intentions. Mingyan looked arrogant, but in fact, his mind was silly, and he had a tendency to believe in Bao Da.

“Aren’t we not going? Come on, enough of that. Bao Da, go out and buy me some books, the textbooks I just tore yesterday. I want new ones, not the used ones.”

Looking at Bao Da being sent out, the several others who were also plastered with tissue paper, “Did the sun come out from the west? How did our Young Master Wei suddenly want to read books? “

“What do you know…? “

When the teenager finished eating the banana, he threw the skin into the trash can. Then he remembered something and looked up at Zheng Ting, “Tingzi, you’re the most knowledgeable one. Tell me something, what does that ‘Bird something a feather, flock to something…’ mean?”

Zhang Ting rolled his eyes, “Now I know why you only got 8 points in Language. You don’t even know what this means.”

“That is to say, the same kind of people come together to be friends. Just like us, you love to play; I also love to play, so we became good brothers. Do you understand? “

He was still mad at Bao Da and upset with his best friend for protecting him, so he withdrew his gaze and took a soda to drink.

Wei Mingyan stuffed an orange slice in his mouth and nodded thoughtfully.

Zheng Ting had sizzling soda in his mouth and heard the teenager affirm:

“That’s great, then you guys should repeat with me.”

“Let’s go to Liu University together next year.”

“Pfft–“

The soda suddenly sprayed all over the floor.
