Chapter 76: First Date?

"You are kidding, right?" Layla asked Leon with an anxious look on her face.
"I am dead serious," Leon replied.
"But… he is your brother!"
"I don't care." Leon shrugged his shoulders and said, "I have no emotions for anyone."
"So you will kill him?"
"He is no different than anyone else," Leon replied. "You know I can kill anyone who messes with me."
Layla looked into Leon's eyes and said, "Then one day, you will kill me too? You won't cry if I die? You won't be sad if I die?"
Leon sighed and hugged Layla. He rubbed his hand on her back and then moved his hand to squeeze Layla's ass. He fingered her from behind and said, "You are different."
Layla hugged Leon and stayed in his arms.
"And besides, it's not confirmed that he is Liam," Leon uttered.
"What if he is? Are you truly going to kill him?" Layla asked again.
"Yeah. He is not the same anymore."
"Can't you forgive him?" Layla asked in a hesitating tone.
"Why? He is after me, and if I don't kill him, he will get you involved in this." After a brief silence, Leon added, "He is our enemy."
"But what if he doesn't know we are alive? What if he was lied to?" Layla wondered. "Just think about it. Why else would he have this photo?"
After pondering for a while, Leon sighed and groaned, "Fine. I will dig some information about him, and if he turns out to be Liam, I will forgive him just this once. But if he meddles with me again, I will kill him."
Layla kissed Leon on the lips and said, "That's good enough."
After that, Leon pushed Layla on the couch and had some fun with her for two hours while watching king's game on the television.
Layla stood up and wiped Leon's venom from her cave before saying, "What else after we are doing today?"
Leon kissed Layla's hand and said, "It's your birthday. I will do whatever you want."
"Then…" Layla averted her gaze and said, "Can we… go to the hospital?"
"Huh? What happened? Are you okay?" Leon asked with a concerned look on his face.
"Yes. I am perfectly fine. I simply want to have a body check-up," Layla answered.
"Why so suddenly?"
"Well… it's natural to do body check-ups. And you know how malnourished our bodies are. You should also have a check-up," Layla suggested.
"I will probably be reported if they check my body," Leon scoffed. "But if you want to have yours, then I can take you to the hospital."
Layla hugged Leon and said, "Thank you."
Layla went to her room and wore new clothes. Leon also had a few pairs of clothes at the house, so he wore them.
They took a taxi to the hospital and stopped at the parking lot.
"Let's go."
As Leon and Layla were walking towards the hospital entry while holding hands, Layla puckered her lips and said, "It's like we are on our first date."
"If you count this as a date, then our first date was when we escaped from that shit-hole," Leon snorted.
They walked to the entry of the hospital, but Leon stopped at the door after seeing the checking device.
"What's wrong?" Layla asked. "Why did you stop?"
Leon had brought the bag with him, and there was his mask and Eren's fun inside it. If Leon passed through the gate, it would detect the gun.
'Hospital does seem to be a good place to get rid of this gun.' Leon turned to Layla and said, "I will be back in three minutes."
After saying that, Leon left.
Layla took out her phone and set the timer for three minutes.
When Leon came back after getting rid of the gun, the timer had passed 3 minutes and 32 seconds.
Layla was a little angry, but she didn't say anything to Leon.
After that, they went inside and sat in the waiting area.
"You wait here. I will come back after the check-up," Layla informed.
"Can't I come inside the room with you?" Leon furrowed his brows and asked, "The doctor is female, right?"
"Yes." Layla nodded and said, "I made sure to get a female doctor."
"Alright then, I will wait here." Leon took out his phone and plugged in the headphones.
Layla walked into the hallway and glanced back to see Leon wasn't looking at her. Then, she changed her path and went into another hallway.
After passing through various rooms, she went inside a gynecologist's room.
She sat on the chair and said, "My name is Layla. I called you a few days ago for the appointment."
"Oh! Yes." The female doctor looked at her watch and said, "You are late, but I don't have any patients for the next hour, so I will allow it."

"So, how may I help you?" the doctor asked. "You mentioned something about pregnancy check-up."
"Yes." Layla nodded and said, "I want to check if I am pregnant or not."
"Well, there are pregnancy checker kits for it, you know?"
"I know, but… I have heard they are unreliable, so I want to have a proper check-up," Layla asserted in a voice.
"You are not wrong." The doctor took out a memo and asked, "Maybe I ask about the symptoms?"
"There are none," Layla replied.
"How long since your last period?"
"I had them last month," Layla answered.
The doctor furrowed her brows at Layla and said, "Excuse me for asking, but what makes you think you might be pregnant?"
"Nothing in particular. That's why I am here," Layla answered.
Meanwhile, Leon was watching martial arts lessons on the internet.
"Some of them can't be performed unless the opponent is in a certain distance," Leon muttered.
The traditional martial arts were too mundane for Leon, so he started watching martial arts in the anime.
Normally, it would be impossible to replicate the moves, but it was easy for Leon because of his superpowers.
As Leon was focused on watching them, someone pulled his headphones and called out his name.
"Leon?"
Leon looked up and immediately frowned his face after seeing the person he did not want to see.
It was Anna.
"What are you doing here?" she asked.
