On the way to the mansion, Alex called Hunter to find out more information about the girl with red brown hair and deep blue eyes. To his disappointment, Hunter had seen the beautiful girl with Sanua but didn't know her name; let alone ever spoken to her.

He did find out that Sanua came to Club Zen occasionally with the girl.

As soon as he got to the mansion, brunch was served.

"How's the company doing?" Old Mr. Zi looked up from the buttered toast he was eating.

The Zi's were known for their picturesque architectural designs. They were descendants of a long line of architects.

Even though Alex may have wanted to study something else, being an architect coursed through his veins. He could not escape who or what he was. Staring at the old man who was sitting at the head of the table, he couldn't help but feel proud to be a Zi.

"It's going good."

"Ohh, good good." Mr. Zi replied proudly showing his white teeth; his wrinkles visible as he smiled.

He was secretly keeping an eye on his grandsons' success and what was happening at the company…or so he thought.

Alex was fully aware of his grandfather's meddling but didn't bother him since Papa Zi was not causing him any trouble.

Just then, the doorbell to the mansion echoed in the room. Grandma Zi smiled, stood up and headed out.

"Wife where are you going? Let them out there answer the door."

"Ah it's okay, I invited a guest."

When she came back, next to her stood a lovely looking young woman. She had a wide smile on her face as she walked in, eyes staring right at Alex.

Alex played no mind to what was going on around him. He looked like a king eating the food in front of him.

"Alex Zi?" A voice asked from behind him.

He frowned and turned to look.

"And who might you be?" He replied annoyed that his grandparents were trying to set him up again.

"Ahh, how disappointing you don't seem to remember me," the angelic voice replied.

Before anyone said anything more, Mrs. Zi interrupted.

"Come child, have a seat," and she pulled out a chair next to Alex for the guest.

"Alex you remember Natalia Omalu. You went to the same elementary school. She came over when you guys were six and you both played together… Lina, bring some dishes over to Natalia."

"Mhm...Talia it's been a while. How have you been?" Alex smiled and asked as he remembered his childhood friend.

"I've been good. It's good to see you again Alex. My mom met your grandma and she invited me over. I came by since we hadn't seen each other for a while." Sounding a bit rehearsed, no-one caught on.

Practicing that lie in front of the mirror for two hours did Natalia well seeing she repeated it flawlessly.

Madam Zi smiled proudly. She was the one who called Natalia to come over for brunch. if her grand-son was being stubborn, she would gladly help him find love.

Talia admits she had a crush on Alex since the day he saved her from bullies in school. He confidently stood up to her bullies and defended her when no-one wanted to be her friend. Seeing that he was popular, everyone wanted to be his friend, so they had stopped teasing her to look good in his eyes.

That was when Natalia Omalu started liking Alex Zi.

Mixed with Italian and Japanese, Talia looked different from everyone at school. Her classmates teased her constantly and called her ugly.

Looking at her now, her long waist-length hair was now resting on her shoulders. She was no longer chubby but rather strikingly beautiful.

Her hazel eyes that was always sad back then were now bight as she smiled at him.

"Ohh...you've grown up well." Alex admitted. he returned her smile and eyed her closely.

Hearing Alex compliment her looks, Natalia blushed and acted like she hadn't tried her best too stand out in front of her future husband.

Oh how she desperately wanted to be the woman at Alex's side; Mrs. Zi.

"I have? Well thank you…I must say you look quite good yourself." Natalia couldn't help but blush more as her eyes met Alex's.

"Thank you." Alex replied unfazed by her charming words. He was indeed surprised to see her. It have been ten and a half years since he last saw her. Although she messaged him a few times. He admit that he was bad at texting and missed a fee of her messages.

"Why didn't you tell me you were coming back."

"I wanted to surprise you and here I am. Don't feel bad this was an unplanned return."

They chatted through brunch and everyone was in good spirits. Brunch went well.

After everyone finished eating Alex and Old Man Zi went to the study to talk about the potential investors he met with the day before. By the time they were done, two hours had passed.

Heading down stairs, he was surprised to see Natalia still there chatting with his grandmother.

He walked over and said he was leaving. His grandmother tried to persuade him to stay for dinner, but he refused. He was still tired and wanted to head back home. Driving forty minutes to the mansion was tiring.

Natalia was disappointed that Alex was in a hurry to leave. She knew he was single and thought she would be able to woo him and get together with him.

Grandma Zi was excited when she found out Natalia was back. She purposefully invited Natalia to brunch when Alex said he was coming by. She knew Natalia had been fond of Alex back then and decided to play cupid. Mrs. Zi loved the idea of having the child as a grand-daughter-in-law and did not hesitate when Natalia asked if Alex was seeing anyone.

Now that Alex was trying to leave both ladies were disappointed their plain was not going to work.

"Why don't you give Talia a ride back to the city since her driver left earlier." She tried coaxing her grandson.

Unaware of their scheme, Alex agreed.

He drove Natalia to her hotel and was about to head home when she hurried asked him to dinner later. He refused her invitation for dinner as said they could catch up another time.

Alex left the Hotel and drove home to Lake-view.
