Klautz had ignored Byron's call for help for a good enough reason. He chose to look for more beasts to kill than playing with some stranger. But...

*Swish*

Before Klautz could realize an arrow shot past him.

Klautz was too focused on finding another pack of giant armadillos to hunt. He hadn't realized when Verona had drawn her bow to shoot the loner armadillo that was attacking Byron at the moment. The shot went cutting through the air as it got stuck at the armadillo's hard black armour.

Verona drew her bow yet again to shoot.

Verona had gotten lucky as the monster didn't feel much from her shot thanks to its hard shell. The monster was only focusing on Byron. What's more? Its pack was already killed so it couldn't call for any reinforcements to tackle Verona.

But her action had other recursions on her.

"Verona? What are you doing?" Klautz complained as he raised his brows. The sight of Verona pulling onto her bow entered his view.

'This Verona is getting annoying day by day.'

The veins in Klautz forehead bulged as he tried hard to maintain a plastic smile on his face. Somehow that very smile made chills run through Verona's back as she unconsciously retraced her bow.

But that doesn't mean she was done.

"There is someone there asking for help. I am sure I heard his call!" Verona squeaked. Her voice might be sweet but her words were like thorns piercing his ears.

"Oh of course there is," Klautz complained. He had a tint of sarcasm in his swords. "But did I tell you to help him? By doing the stupidest things you are putting the whole team in danger."

Verona couldn't decide what was happening. There was something wrong with all of this. Her gaze switched from Klautz and to Byron and then back to Klautz as she bit her lips. Klautz says that saving him was dangerous but what was the danger here? There were only one of those giant armadillos to kill. They have killed scores of them if not hundreds!

There was literally a man there asking for help yet she couldn't do anything thanks to Klautz. Little did she know that the lone armadillo could call for its pack if it feels its life was in danger.

'I am in no point to argue with him. He is right we are working as a team,' Verona thought as she bit her lips. But still, ignoring someone's call for help? That was hard on her part.

"Don't test my patience, Verona," Klautz whispered but it was in a deep and husky voice that made chills run through Verona's body.

"But…," Her voice spluttered.

Klautz pulled himself closer as he stared into her eyes. Verona took a step back out of fear but she realized that there was only a tree behind and there was no escape.

Klautz placed his hand beside her head as he leaned against the dried out tree with no leaves. He pulled himself closer to her as if to oppress her and finish off all of her escape routes. Verona wanted to run away but to no avail, Klautz was almost on top of her! She could almost feel his breath on her skin.

She could only look away as her face turned towards a visible blush. Klautz's smell made her start having butterflies in her stomach.

"Don't test my patience, Verona" Klautz repeated again, his eyes piercing her very soul!

Verona nodded fervently as if her life depended on it. She wanted to get out of this sticky citation…. away of the imminent danger as soon as possible. She wanted to save that man but her own well being was more important than anything else. She felt like Klautz would eat her up should she cause any troubles!

Klautz on the other hand had the intention to discipline his team member rather than throwing her away.

It was then…

For some reason, Selena wrapped herself around Klautz's back as she rested her head on his back. She didn't let him go until she snuggled her cheek against him and brushed her hands over his chest.

Klautz raised his brows. Klautz could only wonder what had become of her as he understood little about women.

Byron, who could no longer put his life in danger for his little show, killed off the beast instead. He had waited for too long yet no help arrived.

'What happened they didn't come? I was sure they shot an arrow this way.'

That is when Byron placed his hand on top of his forehead to shield his eyes from the sun and take a better look at the distance.

He saw Klautz pressing onto Verona while Selena was throwing herself all over him cuddling with him. Byron wasn't even sure what was happening there properly as all he could properly see was Selena's back who was wrapping around Klautz. But it wasn't hard to guess what kind of conclusion he would draw of such a scene.

"What the Hell?" Of course, his naive mind concluded that Klautz was playing with both the girls at the same time. Compared to before and now he had a completely different opinion of this lust-filled group.

"There is no point in wasting time with these people, I better inform Lewis about them."

He felt his lower body getting into a bad shape with the show and his wild imaginations so he decided to avoid them.

Byron sighed.

They had found many women on their way here on this stage but their boss wasn't even interested at all to taste them. And he killed them before Byron could ever hope to have a chance. If Byron were given a chance he would have had his way with a few of them.
