Chapter 166: To the Ninja Trial

She looked up to take a glance at Klautz's smirking face. Her face was disheveled from the sex from before. She had given it her all to make up for what she did and presented it as an apology.
Her eyes turned moist as she gazed into Klautz's eyes.
"Sorry. I won't do that again. It's just that… when I saw you like that I couldn't control myself. I won't do it again."
Klautz pressed onto her and made her rest her head on his chest back again. His touch was as if the assurance that she doesn't have to worry about it anymore. She was back in his arms.
Selena too had accepted Klautz as he is and didn't want herself to be separated from him. She snuggled in his arms as she basked in his smell.
'Klautz… do you love me?' She thought.
But she was too embarrassed to ask. Especially after what happened.
She felt Klautz's touch on her as he played with her hair. In those hands she felt a sense of security and satisfaction. She doesn't want to be seperated from this feeling.
She clutched onto the hand making him stop. She looked at him with a darting gaze.
"Please Klautz never leave me alone."
Saying so, her drooping eyes finally closed shut as she passed out in Klautz arms.
Klautz sighed. He wanted to play a bit more but it looked like that was it. At least he had Selena naked lying on top of him to do whatever he pleases.

The first rays of the sun fell on Klautz eyes and Klautz knew that it was morning. His eyelids opened as he found the girl still lying on top of him.
Klautz sighed.
He pulled her to the side making her sleep at the proper posture as he got out of the quarters rubbing his right eye. But he didn't move away before he gave her butt one last squeeze.
His mind was a bit dizzy and needed to get fresh. But instead of a splash of water it was something else that got him wide awake.
Alas as soon as he got out pulling the door he was greeted by Akihiko's face. Akihiko leaned against the wall as he smirked at Klautz.
Klautz eyes shot out wide. He was now wide awake and super alert. Anything could be expected from this man.
"How does losing feel?" Akihiko asked.
To Akihiko, Klautz seemed to be too proud of his skills in bed. He was having a lot of fun crushing Klautz's pride today. After all, a woman had left his bed after a single round. Wasn't that enough to leave many men in trauma?
But Akihiko had underestimated Klautz. Klautz perfectly knew of the knitty gritty of the ninjas and the traumas they go through. He knew exactly why Maebi had refused and it was definitely not because he was bad in sex.
But he had to keep up with the act.
Klautz sighed.
"Yeah, I lost and you won. Your ninjas are well trained," Klautz mumbled the formality. "I will work as a representative for your village from now on. But without that power of the ninjas that you speak of, I can't possibly execute my duties."
Akihiko nodded in affirmation to Klautz statement.
"Yes, I am here to take you to the trial site…," Akihiko counted his knuckles as if calculating something.
"And Gozoto?" Klautz tilted his head to the side.
Akihiko raised his brows in awe. Klautz had never failed to amaze him.
'He was able to perceive that Gozoto would be a problem in this? He indeed is a good talent.'
Akihiko nodded.
"Don't worry about him. I will take care of matters on this side."
Klautz shrugged. With his powers of course Akihiko can pull some strings but Klautz needed to double check in case he gets into trouble. A newbie disappearing from the drill should be unprecedented.
"But the question is... Do you dare?" Akihiko laughed, "I am afraid the trial would be harsh on you."
"Of course I do," Klautz claimed.
Klautz appeared to be confident but it was actually a huge variable on his part. The ninjas owned a lot of trial sites which were awarded with weapons and skills that ninjas use.
But Klautz had no idea which one of them he was going to visit. Or rather to which one of them Akihiko was going to take him.
What's more? Klautz was a ninja of the Kishiogakure village in his past life. He might know a thing or two about the trial sites monopolized by Kishiogakure but he had no idea about Mizukigakure. Being rivals they kept such information to themselves even to the point of sacrificing their lives to protect the same.
'If it is one of the beginner's trials. I can clear it with a breeze.'
Even if a variable, the powers at the end of the trial were too good for Klautz to not take a risk. What's more? Akihiko was interested in Klautz. He wasn't going to take him to an impossible trial site for Klautz level. It might be hard but it won't be impossible.
Klautz was willing to take the risk. He was the strongest newbie.
"We will see," Akihiko nodded to Klautz's response.
With a smirk on his face he walked towards Klautz. He too wanted to know the limits of this newbie and believed that he had much to him than meets the eye. Putting him in danger would show his true might.
But Klautz was a valuable asset and Akihiko didn't plan to exhaust him so soon. Ninjas and representatives alike are always meant to die. But this man hadn't even got the chance to bloom.
How did he plan to bring out his secrets without endangering his life? Probably only his mind knew.
